The grounds of the hotel

Temperature in the room. It was cold. Breakfast the next morning was poor and I wasn't offered any tea or coffee. Staff in the Breakfast room were slow.

From the moment we arrived staff were extremely accommodating. The bar staff couldn’t have been more helpful in making sure I had everything feeding my 1 year old. At our first day in the leisure centre the staff in the pool were excellent! Spa facilities & gym top notch! Every request was met with grace…We didn’t have a fridge in our room to store baby food & bottles, we rang reception & they had one with us in less than 30 mins! The management of this staff is exceptional and it is clear to see in the friendly & accommodating attitude of the staff. Felt totally at home & was nice to be able to have our child in the bar area for the evening meal. I will definitely return for another break. The bar meal was delicious & very reasonably priced!

The dining napkins aren’t environmentally friendly. Kids running up & down the corridors when trying to get my baby down to sleep at around 7:30/8:00pm…which quieten down after 20 minutes.

The Breakfast had everything to offer, from full Irish to continental incl cereals and breads with a number of spread options. Even a number of alternative milks are offered! I loved my massage in the spa and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the pool and pool amenities. I didn't use the gym due to time constraints but it looked very spacious with lots of machines and free weights to choose from. Loved the comfortable firm bed and the night's sleep i got! Priceless!

The cushions could be softer or out of the 4 cushions on the double bed 2 could have been feather ones so there's choice. I'm glad i brought my own. The blanket was a little heavy but I slept great anyways. I don't like that u had to scan a sticker on the mirror in the hotel room to get info on menues etc. Not everyone has access to scanning or a mobile phone. I prefer the oldschool physical menues and information leaflets.

Our first overnight stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful! As regular visitors for family events and Sunday lunches, we’ve always had a great experience, but this stay exceeded all expectations. The room was lovely, spacious, and perfect for me and my child. The staff, as always, were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive – truly a credit to the hotel. Dinner was delicious, maintaining the consistently high standard we’ve come to expect, and breakfast was simply perfect. What stands out most is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by every member of the team. Their hospitality made our stay feel special.

It’s nice and the views are fantastic.

To be honest the check-in process. I was driving from Dublin to Roscommon to attend a meeting on the way my brother in low couldn’t breath so I had to take him to hospital. He had to stay the night and that was the reason I booked the hotel. The lady at the reception did provide the service she was hired to give just because she saw I am carrying a tesco bag. (Passed by tesco to buy some toiletries ) to be honest that spoiled my mood. I’m a titanium member at Marriott and I was not expecting to experience this at this hotel.

The rooms were fabulous so comfortable and fresh. Delicious decor. Had dinner in the bar which was excellent, a great variety on the menu. Desserts and cocktails were such a treat. Service was amazing, staff were superb in the bar, restaurant, reception, pool and spa. A special mention for my spa therapist Shola for the best back neck and shoulder massage.

Too much chlorine in the poor area. Probably not always the case, aside from this the facilities were great and spotlessly clean.

The Room was amazing. so comfortable and quiet. coming from a busy work day, 1 need such relaxation. the breakfast was Amazing🤩

I would have appreciated a bit more explanation from the receptionist. had to ask where the Spa is as I had an appointment 15 minutes after my checkin. was my 1st time staying here and no explanation of facilities or where breakfast will be served, just directions where my room is. I've stayed at numerous hotels and this was a first.

Surrounded by beautiful scenery and a lake. The inside was fabulous and the rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Very comfortable bed and soft pillows and a superb duvet. Also the rooms have air in which my partner was delighted about. Food in the bar was fabulous and fairly priced, we never made in to the diner as the staff in the bar were just so lovely and the food was so good. All the staff across the hotel were very helpful and friendly which made our experience very enjoyable. The pool was heated and the steam room and jacuzzi was so relaxing.

The property is slightly run down on the outside, but the inside was fabulous.

As there was a mix up in the rooms initially on checking in we were given chocolates and a small bottle of prosecco for the inconvenience. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was plentiful and the dining areas were very pleasant. The location and grounds are very pretty and would certainly stay here again, didn't get chance to use the spa and pool but it looked very relaxing

The blackout blind for the room was in a deep recess so very difficult to reach if you are only 5'4 like myself . A lot of work in refurbishment going on at the time so quite noisy outside but then that's to be expected when there are a lot of workmen around and not the hotels fault

Super friendly staff, every last one of them - helpful, happy, courteous. Hotel was extremely busy but it didn't show with the staff, who coped very well with the big numbers. Room good size, well heated and spotlessly clean. The food was exceptional, from breakfast to bar food to evening meal. We have stayed here before and have now booked for our return stay, same time, post Christmas next year.

No negatives, except perhaps we didn't stay long enough
