Spacious apartment; lovely pool; good breakfast.

Loud radio music at the pool . Most guests were different generation to the staff member controlling choice and volume of music around pool. Several guests repeatedly asked for the music to be switched off (Sun 18 Sep) but the request was refused. Apparently hotel director likes music at pool. Most guests at the pool were trying to read - very difficult with the distraction of such terrible music. We all have access via our phones and headsets to choose our own music if required. nothing worse than other people’s music!

The hotel is beautifully decorated in an art deco / 1930s style, with lots of original features and ornaments. The grounds and pool area are very well kept. Breakfast was lovely with a range of food on offer including lots of fresh fruit.

The rooms are comfortable although the bathroom in our lake view room was tiny and the air con not overly powerful. Breakfast - my daughter is coeliac and the gluten free basket consisted mainly of individually wrapped biscuits and cakes (she didn’t mind!) but not much bread. Worryingly, there were other items in the basket that weren’t gluten free and she had a narrow escape on our first morning but luckily I double checked what she’d put on her plate before she actually ate it.

Perfect location for stay in Stressa. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff comfortable and breakfast good. Would definitely stay again

The location of the hotel is great, while it is not at the center it is very close. The hotel is very nice, the staff was very pleasant. The room, the family villa. was equipped well and we had lots of space. The breakfast was very nice and yummy :-) Overall good value for money.

The beds were not as comfortable as we would hope for (that's a very personal thing, some like "jumpy" beds) and the one thing that was more annoying is the people staying upstairs were noisy and we could hear them walk in the room, not sure what the celling is made of.

The room was spacious and bright, featuring a huge balcony that spanned the length of the room and had two balcony doors. The view of the magnolia tree and the lake in the background was lovely. A rich breakfast was provided, with a variety of gluten-free goods, cheese, meets and yogurts. They even gave us a birthday card because I mentioned in the reservation that this was a special occasion stay.

There is nothing not to like.

Charming family run hotel in a very convenient location for Stresa. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room in the annex was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was fine but not to the standard we were used to having just come from Switzerland. We enjoyed our stay.

Bedroom lighting was far too harsh for a bedroom with open wire shades that didn’t soften the bulbs and no reading lamps

Hotel La Fontana is great choice if you stay in Stresa. About 20 minutes walk to the center of the town, beautiful garden and great outdoor swiming pool. Plenty space for parking. Nice breakfast, kind staff. We were very satisfied.

We have room with large balcony and there was just small table and two chair. It would be nice to have same deckchairs.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Close to the promenade. Comfortable bed and great shower. From our room we had an excellent view of Isola Bella and Isola Peschatori. Very clean room and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Swimming pool good size and pool bar prices reasonable. Good free parking and easy walk to centre and ferry terminals.

Great location. Just a short walk from Stressa Station and the lake is across the road. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was very nice with a plentiful variety to choose from. We didn't use the swimming pool as we chose to swim in the lake with a small beach area 5minutes away. Great value for money.

Nothing. It was all good.

Room was very clean but a bit small for three beds. Newly decorated but wooden furniture was very dated. Bathroom was all new but incredible small. Breakfast was good (except for the "stewed bacon") with a good choice (bread was excellent). The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had three power outages that resulted in two evenings with no hot water (very annoying if one wants to freshen up before going out for dinner). The owner did, however, deduct 30 Euros from the bill for the inconvenience. The elevator made a sickening crunch as it descended past the 1st floor. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable (for us at least). The air conditioner was very noisy but not very effective.
