Proximity to airport Restaurant and room service although a tad expensive. The Caesar salad was delicious and attractively presented. Room was comfortable and pristinely presented Staff very friendly and competent.

I knew I would have to walk to airport as you don't provide a shuttle except for air crew and in pleasant weather the distance is achievable the fumes are a little unpleasant as you get closer though. Winter months would put me off walking so I wouldn't stay and use extra money for taxi from accommodation further away. I would stay with you all year round if u provided a shuttle and as u already do for aircrew I'm sure incorporating other customers would benefit your hotel.

I felt to charge an additional fee to park your car of $15 per night in a car park out in the open and with no security was a little rude. We were waiting to be collected on Thursday morning in the reception and there were very large dead flies over the floor when we arrived back at 4pm they were still there it did not look good

An issue between Booking.com information and the motel, it comes up with an option of bath or shower, booked a room with a bath, had a response from the motel saying they can accommodate this, when I arrived I found the motel doesn't have any baths. I work and unfortunately, you cannot connect via an HDMI cable to tv to create a second screen.

The food was great, the people were excellent. The tv had a great variety of channels. The showers were hot with good water flow.

Maybe I didn't put in the time for breakfast room service, I thought I did, but a 6am call to ask me was a little early. I prefer a hand held shower head. The aircon was a little noisy. The cab driver in the morning charged double the expected rate based on the cab company calculator. No pool.

The smile from Rachel (I noticed her nails too) at reception upon arrival told me We were staying at the right place. I had spoken to Mariela. by phone from the road earlier in the day to confirm some details. Her professionalism was obvious as was her smile upon meeting her also at reception. The staff arranged for a taxi into town for us as neither of us wanted to drive. The interconnected rooms made things very easy for our stay. A huge thank you to Marcus who assisted us for check out. All staff we met during our stay carried themselves with great confidence and character, and displayed amazing smiles. We will be back to stay.

Our late afternoon flight was cancelled when a severe storm hit Newcastle causing the incoming flight to being diverted. Fortunately, when a morning flight the next day was available, we were able to book into the Mercure and save an inconvenient return trip home. We had a nice meal and good service even though they were caught short with a lot of last minute bookings.

Definitely a shuttle service would have been most helpful - especially as it appeared there was a shuttle available for flight crew. We had had to collect our booked in luggage and the lone taxi driver quoted an exhorbitant price for the short distance. The rain stopped and we used "shank's pony" but a hotel shuttle on call would certainly help when they are aware of flight cancellations.

After a long day of travel, I really appreciated the early check in that was allowed for me. The room was very well presented and clean.and nice and quiet.

The only thing I could fault was there was no complimentary water bottle. I'm not super confident drinking from taps in towns I'm not used to.

Polite and helpful staff. Chef accommodated to special diet requirements. Location 10min walking distance from airport, good for overnight stay. Clean and spacious room with comfortable bed and good pressure shower. Comfortable and quiet restaurant/bar area.

Inexperienced check-in restaurant/bar staff. Room was dark, cold, and not sound proof. No transport service to/from Newcastle beach/city, or shuttle service for travellers with large/heavy luggage. No herbal tea or minibar in rooms.

Clean, comfortable, great location as were flying out the next day, rooms were great, food was fantastic

Meals were a little expensive $185 for dinner and breakfast for 2 Fire alarms went off a couple of times There was no shuttle to the airport - there clearly is one because the bus was sitting in the car park, but were unable to utilise it, we had to walk to the airport with our 2 x large suitcases etc

Rooms were comfortable and clean, staff were very friendly. Enjoyed the gym and food was basic choices but enjoyable.

Not the hotels fault but quite isolated. Life is too short for Nescafé instant coffee, pod machines in rooms would be great. However, you can get a decent coffee in the Bar / Restaurant.
