First time staying here. Close to Newcastle Entertainment Centre, 10 minutes or less. I love how the apartments are designed . It has a window seat in each room and the living room . Spacious and clean too! Comfortable beds, comfortable bath robes which was a nice surprise because you wouldn’t normally find them in apartment-style hotels. I also love the two shower heads on either side of the cubicle! This place made such an impression on my 6 year old that she wrote a note to say “ I like this hotel where you’re working” to the staff! An overall excellent experience! Will be staying here again if need to find a place in Newcastle!

Felicity was absolutely amazing.. we were tired and got in from Adelaide at about 7pm and nothing was too much trouble. She recommended the Texas restaurant at The West Club and the food was amazing.. The next morning I booked out but left my prescription glasses behind and Tim was wonderful at the checkout and kept my glasses safe when I came back to collect them.

There is nothing I didnt like as from location to convenience.. it was perfect The staff are an absolute credit to the company and probably the best customer service I've had in years. I will stay there every time I travel

Overall it was a good experience and accommodation was spacious. Reception staff was professional and friendly and willing to assist with a smile

Kitchen was not that clean. There were crumbs and rubbish in the cabinet under the sink in one apartment and rubbish bin half full on arrival in the other. The rubbish under the sink was not that easily accessible but I cleaned it on my knees. Also I have been charged extra $3.55 on my credit card not sure for what as we had not used anything from the mini bar.

The property was very quiet at the time we were there. Right next door to the West Group club & only a short drive to the local Woolies. Bathroom & bed were very nice with bathrobe & slippers to make our stay extra special.

Unable to connect to Netflix was a small let down. The bedside table hadn’t been wiped down so there was a spilt drink all over it, also the carpet wasn’t vacuumed properly. Small lamp or dimmer switch would be a nice addition to the lighting

We chose Gateway Inn for EV charging and over our 3-night stay managed to get a few sessions. Staff were friendly and helpful (thanks Tim!). The location worked for us. The complimentary access to Balance Mayfield gym was great. Bathroom was modern and shower excellent. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet.

The corridors and elevators needed a good vacuum. The bedside lighting had one switch that wasn’t easy to access from bed. Bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan switch and that limited ventilation.

I didn’t have brekkie there as I was working early hours. I did have room service once. Though I must say the salmon was fairly well over cooked and not sure what happened to the tartare sauce it was pretty nasty :( Shower needs some waterproofing on the glass and tiles there was some black mould. I only noticed because I’m a Waterproofing contractor from Canberra and was up for a Waterproofing job in mayfield.

The shower needs a Waterproofing job done on it (rm 3317) Also the shower soap dispensers are ready bad.

The location and being so close to the entertainment centre is great. The staff are friendly.

Having to ask for the heat to be turned on is frustrating. I hate the glass window between bathroom and bedroom especially at night when the light gets turned on and it wakes you up. It’s also not good if it’s 2 friends or mother and child as you can see EVERYTHING when you’re showering. Absolutely no privacy or anything left to the imagination.

Breakfast was delicious 😋 Dinner was absolutely amazing 👏 The staff were super friendly The attention to detail is second to none. My name popped up on the TV, amazing 👏 Oh and the view we got , watching sunrises and sunsets from the window seat to the bathtub absolutely fabulous 👌. Oh and the bathroom was huge!!! The bed was super comfortable ! Honestly can't fault this place 👌👏

Rooms were nice, staff were accommodating and super lovely, the location was great.

Television streaming service was terrible didnt work and when I called the number they tried to fix it then didnt the girl on the phone was finishing her shift so made me hang up the phone to reatart my phone then when I called back they said they would check things their end and call back no one ever called me .

We loved the size of the room and the massive window seat that I sat in with the afternoon sun..King bed was comfortable as were the pillows...And the double shower was so large and the beautiful Ellermise shower products were just lovely.We had dinner at West which was very convenient. And the coffee machine in the reception was well received...Parking was a bonus(no fee for parking).
