This is my second time staying at the Clayton hotel in sandyford after the fantastic experience I had before and i love it. Great location: it is located in a quiet area, yet with every ametiest available at doorstep. very well connected with the airport (shuttle stop is at the door) and with city center, in less than 30 minutes you are in the heart of the city with public transport, taxi stop out of the door. The rooms are spacious, bright and welcoming, very comfy, with everything you need, a home far from home. The hotels offer all comfort, from gym, bar, restaurant, club, vending machine at every floor. The staff is welcoming and helpful, they've been very supportive organizing my stay

N/A, I love this place 💗

The hotel has a nice lobby where you can meet people for a coffee. Nice clean bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast was good. The meal we had in the bar restaurant in the evening was good, and the staff (young women) were exceptionally friendly, polite and pleasant. They even brought out a special dessert (free) for my husband because it was his birthday, even though we hadn’t requested it. We were delighted with that touch. My only regret was that, while I included a tip when I paid the bill by card, I didn’t also give a cash tip to the two lovely ladies who brought out the dessert and sang Happy Birthday to my husband. I will do that next time ladies!

The room was unbearably hot during the night. The weather was very warm but no fan or air conditioning in the room, meant we had an uncomfortable night. (I do realise that the weather in Ireland is not usually that warm so air conditioning is seldom needed!)

Staff were very good, very helpful, we brought a Google TV device so we could watch Netflix, but the plugs are to far away from the TV but the bar staff got an extension plug and sorted that problem . Thank you. Location is great, it is only value when it's during the week when there is no near by events on. Time are quality , decent TV, so clean.

The price of breakfast, €39 for 2 people is outrageous. Breakfast was ok but think nearly €20pp is insane. The rooms have no air con, however a little fan is provided. Reception staff would not try help with an extension plug but the bar staff did. The pillows were a bit lumpy. We had a room at the back of the building so the window view was poor but the noise was annoying at night and we couldn't shut the window because it was too warm.

The staff were great... professional & friendly. Parking on site for €10 per day which is a bonus. The rooms are good size and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and nice but just a few little things missing like small pastries, Nutella and alternative to butter, e.g. flora. Good gluten free section though. We were going to a concert in Marlay park and you can get a shuttle bus to & from the hotel which was fantastic. We didn’t try the leisure facilities so can’t comment on that.

No air conditioning in the bedrooms so they were very warm. There was a plug in fan in one of our rooms but not the 2nd one. The hair dryer was terrible. No fridges in the rooms. Just a note - The shower is in the bath with a shower curtain and is quite high … more petite/older people might have an issue.

The hotel facilities were excellent. The staff, particularly at the reception was exceptional. A special shout out goes to a young woman at the front reception on Saturday 31st May with long brown curly hair and glasses who was very helpful to show me the way by public transport into town, to inform me of the different meal options and deals available at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the public areas were really great. Transport connection by tram (every 15 minutes) to Dublin city was also convenient. We had a great stay. Thank you.

Its a bit out of the centre but the connection by tram was convenient so in the end it didn't bother us. Perhaps the group of young people who work in the bar/Roasterie need proper training. They were not so attentive and for a four star hotel, didn't really display high level of professionalism as the reception staff. Bar staff didn't really know what they have on tap (which ciders are dry or not) etcetera, the waiting staff didn't really know what is and what is not included in the meal packages and we had to wait quite long to get service even early afternoon when there were not that many people. Anyway this is just a detail for improvement but we had an excellent stay there.

We had a great stay! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very clean and had a nice bathtub, which we appreciated. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, making for a restful night. Online check-in and check-out were quick and smooth, which saved us time. Overall, it was excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again. Water bottleas were available in the room.

The hotel is quite far from the city center, although still easy to reach by public transport. The carpet in the room wasn’t very clean, which seems to be a common issue mentioned by other guests. We had a room on the 6th floor with a beautiful view and sunset, but unfortunately the window was dirty and couldn’t be opened, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the moment. Also there was no kettle in the room, or tea bags..

The parking tickets are a bit of an issue. I go in and out of the car park so to have the machine take the ticket when I go out and then I have to get a new ticket on entry and get it validated, is a problem. Also, on Wednesday evening there was a long queue of people checking in on two desks. A colleague appeared to help with the parking tickets and there were 2 people in front of me. I was 3rd in line. The 2 gentlemen in front of me had their tickets validated and then your colleague walked away. I was clearly in the queue. So I called him back and asked him to validate the ticket. It was like I was invisible. I was not impressed.

Room and facilities in general are quite good, the staff was ready to answer queries, the self-check in and key creation kiosk was an unexpected but quite welcome addition. The parking arrangement (allowing guest to pay a flat tariff and still be able to go in and out of the hotel was also a great feature).

The restaurant staff in the evening was not on point, although the food was good, we had to constantly get up to ask for napkins, cutlery, etc. During breakfast, some of the hot buffet items ran out quite quickly and it took a long time to refill them, but otherwise a good variety and attention from the staff.

Comfortable, secure and with new system easy check in and out.

Two small waters on the first night only. I stayed 3 nights and no more water came to the room, beyond frugal considering rate. Perhaps you are only supposed to stay one night to enjoy the luxury of free water and tea/coffee facilities. Tv channels are advertised as having sky channels, native channels are available which always includes sky news. None of the other channels come in properly. Parking is obnoxious as the layout is nonsensical and it’s actually dangerous to drive through and paying €10 on top for the privilege per day is just insulting.

The hotel is well located near several access routes. My impression is that it is a very clean hotel, throughout, with nice, friendly, helpful staff. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed, nice decor. I enjoyed an informal evening meal in the bar, of really excellent fish and chips and I thought the menu was very reasonably priced. A good experience overall and I would definitely stay there again.

No deal breakers but I made a few negative observations:-the underground carpark was not very well configured and not well finished or signed, either externally or internally. I could not find a thermostat to regulate the room temp, it was a little warm for me. The back panel kept falling off the tv remote. The bar service was a bit slow.
