Situated within walking distance of RDS (approx 12 mins walk) along a quiet, leaf lined road. Great access to bars and restaurants (Roly's a must). Room was clean, beds soft with a decent bathroomand shower. TV, tea and coffee facilities provided in the room. Superb breakfast in the wee dining room in the morning was just the ticket! Staff were really helpful...kept our bags / coats on checkout so we could go back to RDS for the day unhindered. Booked our taxi back to airport (between 30-50 mins away, depending on traffic). Will definitely book again for RDS Horse Show 2026.
Nothing.

The hotel is located in a nice area within walking distance of the city centre (approx. 40 mins) and with excellent bus connections. There are a couple of food shops and cafés nearby. Overall the accommodation is absolutely fine for the price and and most of the members of staff were friendly and helpful, particulary the member of staff who checked us in and the staff serving breakfast. The beds were extremely comfortable; the continental breakfast was nothing special but the porridge was good and, although we didn't try it ourselves, the Irish breakfast looked delicious.
The hotel could do with some refurbishment (e.g. our window didn't open or close properly and was propped open with a piece of wood!). The rooms are not well sound-proofed but that's to be expected in an old building and did not bother us. Not all members of the reception staff were welcoming which surprised us as people in Ireland are generally very friendly.

Hotel's location is excellent! Nice and quiet area, few hundred yeards from a park and from a little parade of shops and cafes. Depiste being in a quiet spot, the hotel is within a walking distance to the centre. There are also frequently running buses near by. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free parking was a nice bonus. Very nice, spacious bathoom with a very big shower - this was definitely the best part of the room.
The sash window could be opened, but with difficulty. Also, if you get a lower ground floor room, you cannot leave the window opened when going out. Unfortunately for us, we visited during a heat-wave, which made the room really hot. The room was smaller than in pictures, but comfortable. Additional shelf in the bathroom, especially as there is plenty of space, would be most useful.

A very welcoming haven - well located (direct airport bus dropping off 3 minutes walk), cosy and comfortable (including the bed). - Sufficient power plugs. / Tea / coffee in the room always great, and the breakfast was well stocked with a tasty and nourishing selection and decent value. - Cafes etc also just around the corner. - The Bridge Pub about 10 minutes walking was a good choice for dinner.
No concerns - but for anticipation, a few creaky floorboards, bring an eye mask if super sensitive to light, and the shower water pressure is not the strongest (but plenty of hot water and fine).

My room was light, airy and attractively furnished with dual aspect and a view over to the Wicklow mountains. The bed was large and very comfortable and I had everything I needed for a short stay. The location was a little outside the centre but in a very nice area, which felt safe at night. There was a bus stop just opposite the hotel with regular buses for the quick trip into the centre of Dublin. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't try the cooked Irish breakfast but the continental (which included an egg if you wanted) was good, with plenty provided to help yourself to and ample choice.
The only issue I had was that being an old building and, I understand, the Irish equivalent of listed, the windows did not keep the sound out very well and being a light sleeper, I was disturbed a bit by the traffic noise. However my son in a different room without my lovely dual aspect (and not such a light sleeper) didn't have this problem so I wouldn't want to put anyone off staying here.

Lovely staff. A decently proportioned room and wash area. I worried about the breakfast not starting til 8am but the staff were terrific about helping a few early-risers.
The room was (by the nature of the building being on a busy corner) quite noisy and coming from a quite rural area was disturbing. Having the house floodlit (for security) also meant it was impossible to have a darkened room - blackout blinds would have been a (cheap) and useful addition. Otherwise all was well. Breakfast was quite adequate and served by friendly staff. Earlier than advertised - which was something I'd worried about.

The location was beautiful, very quiet and surrounded by beautiful period houses in a lovely area, Herbert park is just a few minutes walk. Bus service from the airport brings you practically to the door and you can get a bus into the city from just across the road. The staff were lovely and welcoming and extremely helpful. I enjoyed my stay as a solo traveller and felt very safe and the property is very secure.
The only drawback was the noise of water pipes throughout the night. Probably when other guests were using their water for showers etc. I understand it's an old building so maybe this is something that cannot be rectified.

The people at the reception are very helpful and supernice, they`ll give you directions to a good pub and ask for your thoughts. The hotel has adaptors in case you haven`t bought one. The room is simple, but comfy. Loved the Full Irish Breakfast, very delicious! Really felt I was cared for! The building itself looks great too!
The bathroom might be a bit small for some. While the breakfast tastes very well, it might feel a tad too simple for people, who want a lot of options for their first meal of the day.

I stayed here before and was completely satisfied, more than impressed. The room was up to my expectation although a little downsized than before, and a bit more expensive. Love the location, the car parking, the size of room and the bathroom was laid out well. Everything that you'd expect - teas, coffee etc. There's extra bed linen if needed and good sized bed. Although on the lower ground floor, there wasn't too much noise. Full set of keys given so you can come and go as needed and a door that leads directly to the carpark which is handy if you need to pop out to get something. The carpark is locked at 10pm and secure and full there is ample parking along the road. Shops are located just 5 minutes walk and bus routes into the city centre just opposite.
I had an issue with the bathroom and the property contacted me regarding this to apologise so this was very much appreciated. They were prompt in doing this and this shows that they take customer care seriously.

This was a fantastic find! Took advice not to drive in the bad weather and booked into this lovely period hotel/stay. It is just on the south side about 15 minutes from Stephen's Green but into the city in a short bus hop, cycle etc. It is in a leafy area with good local food gourmet shop across from it. Wifi was excellent and was upgraded from single to double at no cost when I arrived. The staff were wonderful, extremely pleasant. There is limited car parking with secure gate closing at about 10pm and fee free which I'm a huge advocate for. There is also street parking outside along the road, which is quiet and leafy, but does get busy during the daytime. There is a rear door to access cars also and you get key to go in and out as you please. I was up just 2 flights of stairs which wasn't a problem but could be for some, but this is a period property. The room was a great size and had tea, coffee, great shower, extra covers, very warm on a nasty night which was great! Lights and lamps were all good quality as too the bedding and quality of rest was a highlight. There are quiet hours so no noise problems. The breakfast room is downstairs with hot options served to order and cold, continental available for self-serve. Staff were efficient and ample refreshments to refill. Veggie and vegan options available. While they advertise breakfast price, mine was included in my booking.
Not a problem for me, but no elevator to upper floor might be an issue for those with mobility issues.
