The location was beautiful, very quiet and surrounded by beautiful period houses in a lovely area, Herbert park is just a few minutes walk. Bus service from the airport brings you practically to the door and you can get a bus into the city from just across the road. The staff were lovely and welcoming and extremely helpful. I enjoyed my stay as a solo traveller and felt very safe and the property is very secure.
The only drawback was the noise of water pipes throughout the night. Probably when other guests were using their water for showers etc. I understand it's an old building so maybe this is something that cannot be rectified.

The people at the reception are very helpful and supernice, they`ll give you directions to a good pub and ask for your thoughts. The hotel has adaptors in case you haven`t bought one. The room is simple, but comfy. Loved the Full Irish Breakfast, very delicious! Really felt I was cared for! The building itself looks great too!
The bathroom might be a bit small for some. While the breakfast tastes very well, it might feel a tad too simple for people, who want a lot of options for their first meal of the day.

The charming architecture, the history behind. The staff was Amazing. Una from Reception was so nice to order cabs on time and recognize us by name. Attention to detail and kindness for us and my toddler from Restaurant Service team Luminita, Florentina and Ezra from Kitchen. Felt like Home away from home. The calm area and the green lush vegetation away from city center was a big plus. Breakfast quality and buffet set up, presentation and plating make it a great choice at convenient rates. We were very happy to have discovered you.
The lack of mini bar in the room and few maintenance works for shower cabin railings.

I stayed here before and was completely satisfied, more than impressed. The room was up to my expectation although a little downsized than before, and a bit more expensive. Love the location, the car parking, the size of room and the bathroom was laid out well. Everything that you'd expect - teas, coffee etc. There's extra bed linen if needed and good sized bed. Although on the lower ground floor, there wasn't too much noise. Full set of keys given so you can come and go as needed and a door that leads directly to the carpark which is handy if you need to pop out to get something. The carpark is locked at 10pm and secure and full there is ample parking along the road. Shops are located just 5 minutes walk and bus routes into the city centre just opposite.
I had an issue with the bathroom and the property contacted me regarding this to apologise so this was very much appreciated. They were prompt in doing this and this shows that they take customer care seriously.

This was a fantastic find! Took advice not to drive in the bad weather and booked into this lovely period hotel/stay. It is just on the south side about 15 minutes from Stephen's Green but into the city in a short bus hop, cycle etc. It is in a leafy area with good local food gourmet shop across from it. Wifi was excellent and was upgraded from single to double at no cost when I arrived. The staff were wonderful, extremely pleasant. There is limited car parking with secure gate closing at about 10pm and fee free which I'm a huge advocate for. There is also street parking outside along the road, which is quiet and leafy, but does get busy during the daytime. There is a rear door to access cars also and you get key to go in and out as you please. I was up just 2 flights of stairs which wasn't a problem but could be for some, but this is a period property. The room was a great size and had tea, coffee, great shower, extra covers, very warm on a nasty night which was great! Lights and lamps were all good quality as too the bedding and quality of rest was a highlight. There are quiet hours so no noise problems. The breakfast room is downstairs with hot options served to order and cold, continental available for self-serve. Staff were efficient and ample refreshments to refill. Veggie and vegan options available. While they advertise breakfast price, mine was included in my booking.
Not a problem for me, but no elevator to upper floor might be an issue for those with mobility issues.

The hotel is located in the heart of Donnybrook, a quiet, well-connected, and peaceful area. The property is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and quick to respond. A special highlight is the bed, which was extremely comfortable, as well as the room cleaning services. Every day, after returning from visiting Dublin's attractions, you'll find the room in perfect condition, with a basket stocked full of tea bags and instant coffee, ready for use. Another thoughtful touch that demonstrates the professionalism and care: upon our arrival, the staff had placed a welcome chocolate in our room, which we truly appreciated.
Keep in mind that the hotel is located in a neighborhood south of the city center. To get to the center, you have two options: either enjoy a pleasant walk (~ 3 Km) or take a bus (~ 30 minutes). The area is well-connected, with bus stops located less than 200 meters away. To be a bit picky, I found the shower pressure not particularly strong, and the provided shower gel and shampoo were only sufficient because we had brought some extra with us. Additionally, I found the location a bit pricey, though it’s difficult to find something similar at a lower cost in this area.

The staff is very kind and always available during daytime, from 7am to 10pm. I had an issue with the water kettle and they replaced it right away. The room is cleaned daily, free toiletry is provided, along with some soluble coffee and tea bags. The position is also good, I needed to reach UCD but also did not want to be far from the centre, so this was a good compromise. There are several buses that pass in a nearby stop, and it is also directly connected to the airport via the Aircoach 700.
The rooms are a bit small for the price, but this is normal for Dublin. Also not very well noise insulated, I could hear footsteps and noises from the surrounding rooms.

Room was great with a good bed; very clean and a nice space. The fluffy comforter was so nice, and I loved having three lamps plus an overhead light as options. Having a little wardrobe in addition to the suitcase rack was helpful, as was the desk with a mirror. The street was fairly quiet but pretty and my window had a nice view of the main street.
The water pressure in the shower was awful! Using it was incredibly inconvenient. There is no elevator, which doesn't bother me but might be a factor for other people. I kept thinking my neighbor was unlocking my door! This isn't necessarily the hotel's fault due to the age of the building, but it was quite alarming when they would enter or exit.

Very nice location half way between downtown and UCD campus, so everything was walkable. Breakfast was excellent, except that the room was very hot. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Heating was regulated so that you could have heat from the radiators only part of the time. If you don't want to have them on max then (and then uncomfortably hot room), it will get a bit chilly. Ventilation was not great either so windows were foggy and had to be kept open. There didn't seem to be any "green policy" in place. The cleaner swapped towels every time even if they were hanging on the rack and not on the floor.
