I stayed at Butlers Townhouse during a short trip to Dublin and was very pleased. The hotel is located in the prestigious area of Ballsbridge, directly opposite the Aviva stadium, which provided easy access to the main attractions of the city. The nearest DART station is Lansdowne Road, just 5 minutes walk away. The room was cozy and decorated in a Victorian style, with quality furniture and linens. The staff were friendly and helpful. The self-check-in process was simple and convenient, and the instructions were clear. The hotel also provides free parking, which is rare for the city center. Overall, Butlers Townhouse is a great choice for those looking for comfortable and stylish accommodation in the center of Dublin. Recommended for tourists and business travelers.

The only slight negative was the lack of breakfast in the standard room rate, but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants near the hotel where you can have breakfast.

Butler's Townhouse was very clean and the location was perfect for what I needed.

The check in process was strange, largely because of confused communication. I got an email asking that I ring a number to pay the accommodation cost as well as a €150 deposit. The email said there was no reception at the property. I rang and was told that there was a reception and I didn't need to pay one the phone. I then got another email with a code for the front door and the bedroom door. I let myself in when I got to the property and there was no reception. Very confusing. Also, the rooms are single glazed - probably as its a period property but the street noise was significant.

Beautiful townhouse. Clean. Close to the embassies, bus stop and Dart train station. If you want to be a bit farther from the noisy center and be close to the well groomed embassies area. Big comfortable bed, beautiful living room / common area. A little cold in the bedroom even with the snall electric heater provided. There is no or not enough central heating. Paying cash was not possible even though there us 24/7 reception. Not convenient. Check in instructions / door codes sent last min by phone. May not be convenient for international guests with roaming charges. They need to send it in advance to accommodate travelers coming out of EU.

Loved EVERYTHING!!! Not only was the room super comfortable and clean, the location was amazing! About 30 minutes walk from Dublin city centre, so close enough to go out and far away enough to explore other parts of the city. Down the road from the townhouse you'll find Aviva Stadium, home of Irish Rugby, down another road you'll find fantastic restaurants and walks and a park with an excellent food market on Sunday's and down a side road you'll find the filming location for Kin. This is a great find and totally worth the cost.

That I didn't get to meet any staff. Would be nice to meet someone to have a personal touch to the visit; especially as a solo traveller.

The house is an old mansion, very comfortable. The rooms are huge. Although they are not modern, they are very cozy. The bathroom, although not new, is spacious and clean. The bed is excellent, and the cleanliness is good. There is no reception service, but they provide all the necessary information for a self-check-in. The location is about 20 minutes from the city center, but the area is very quiet, which is great for those who want a peaceful night's sleep.

The electrical outlets are not the European system, so you need to buy an adapter to charge your phone.

Decor and facilities all very nice, I particularly liked the lounge area.

Check in process was a little tense as we did not receive the codes until a couple of hours before check in. I had to help another guest who was experiencing problems as she was not able to access the codes on her phone. The free parking is very welcome but it would be good if some sort of booking process could be used to make sure of it, rather than offering it on first come first served basis - I paid 55 Euros for a nearby carpark and would have been willing to pay similar to park outside the hotel if I could have been sure of getting a space.

Big beautiful.reception room wirh local info of Dubin, and a practical fridge and chess board. I would recommend moving reception office currently downstairs with ony artificial lighting and small space into a small portion of the reception room in to right of entrance as a welcoming and practical focal point, its so big to accomodate the guests staying, and it would provide a well lit spacious workplace for staff.

All good. Really practical iron and board in bedroom area, lots of chairs and super comfy bed. Breakfast option, even simple communal continental type portion in that reception room would be lovely as a homely relaxed part of starting the day and connecting with guests. Great cafes locally though

Both rooms were almost identical. Only one had a four poster bed. Mattresses was amazing for comfortable sleep. Both rooms had Georgian period and well-maintained spacious furniture, high windows and a well-supplied coffee/tea corner and a modern flat TV screen. The sitting room / drawing room was welcoming with a nicely decorated Christmas tree and many books were available for reading including the Bible.

Beautiful aromatic toiletries in the bathroom. Water faucets were a bit different to use. Front door was fine with digital code, but accessing our rooms with digital code took few tries - we had to follow patiently booking.com's instructions. Phone line was available for staff's assistance. Nothing to complain otherwise.

We really appreciated the fact we could keep our luggage at the reception because we arrived early in the morning. The receptionist, Ashley, was very nice and helpful! My mum (who I was travelling with) thought that the room was way too small butI was satisfied 😄 The fact that we were able to check-out ourselves was great since we had to leave at 3AM for the airport. The hotel was very close to a train station which was amazing. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely repeat it sometime in the future!

Booking.com sent us 3 codes to gain access to the house and to digitally open the two rooms we had booked and paid for; the price was excellent for the night! The Georgian manor house is located in a very pleasant and affluent area of Dublin, namely Landsdowne Road which is very peaceful and almost idyllic.

The bathrooms was meticulously set up with everything of very good quality. The only problem my son had was to fiddle with the not so modern water faucets of the shower unit to keep the hot water flowing constantly whilst having a shower.
