Over the years, Ariel House has become my 'Go To' Bed and Breakfast address in Dublin. In fact, if Ariel House is full, I would prefer to change my travel dates than to try to find alternative accommodation. I particularly like that it is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood with a mix of gracious, tree-lined Georgian streets and pretty Victorian terraces. And only a short stroll from the Aviva Stadium and a DART stop and walking distance to the RDS and Dublin City Centre - if a walk appeals on a sunny day. Often being a solo female traveller, I feel very much at ease and safe when I venture out in the early evenings to dine in the nearby restaurants, or meet up with friends in a local pub. I really love the attention to detail and the quality of the interior decoration as well as the views over the garden to the back of the buildings. The dining area is very pleasant with some window tables enjoying views over the gardens and there is an abundance of choice of foods from both the buffet and the menu that offers different courses and vegetarian options. I have always found all the staff to be extremely attentive, welcoming, warm and friendly and they go out of their way to help out in any way they possibly can. Ariel House has become a home from home to me and over the years I have gotten to know some of the lovely staff.
The breakfast staff are extremely attentive and efficient. So I have discovered a technique to slow down the arrival of the different courses ... I gently explain that I have not yet made my 'Menu' choices while I enjoy the my tea and toast as well as some of the cold options from the generous buffet bar. Otherwise, there can sometimes be a bit of a backlog of courses waiting for me on the breakfast table ... :-)

I liked the style of the hotel and even more the atmosphere. The stuff was great. My boyfriend had birthday and they brought us a nice small cake and even a card! The manager of the hotel and one of the receptionist helped us to book activities and guided us every time we needed. Another cute thing was that at the entrance the hotel had from the lobby a room, like a living room, where there was always coffee, pie, lemonade. The hotel is located near the train station, but sometimes we even walked to the center of the city. However, there are enough pubs and restaurants nearby as well. The breakfast was also delicious. We stayed there almost a week and we hope we will stay there again! I definitely recommend this hotel! 😊

Very nice rooms, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.
There is no elevator and numerous stairs must be negotiated both outside and inside the hotel. Finally, the front desk staff apparently are not aware of several taxi services in Dublin that guarantee a child seat when requested. Although we asked for a taxi to be scheduled with a child seat for the three year old traveling with us, we were told by the hotel that they could request such but not guarantee it. This is not true and the taxi showed up without a child seat. Unfortunately we learned of the child-friendly taxi services after the fact. Hotel staff should have known.

Absolutely incredible breakfast. They have a self serve area of pastries, cheese, yogurt, fruit, and juices and then you get to pick an “entree” that the kitchen prepares for you. Breakfast is served in an atrium that looks out over their backyard. The room was beautiful, and ours looked out over the street. Residential area so very quiet and relaxed, little to no street noise. Staff was really nice and accommodating! My favorite part was their drawing room, they have an honor bar and coffee/tea to enjoy while you sit and read. Only about a 30 minute walk to Trinity College.
Bathroom amenities are very minimal.

We stayed as a family with two children and absolutely loved our time at Ariel’s BnB. Our large family room, with two comfortable king-sized beds, was spacious and perfect for us. The whole place has a warm, charming touch that immediately makes you feel at home. There’s a cozy sitting room where you can enjoy coffee and read the newspaper, and in the afternoon we were delighted by complimentary biscuits and little appetizers. The biggest surprise was the breakfast — not only a generous buffet but also an à la carte menu with delicious options. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
nothing to complain

This fine establishment maintains all the charms of a traditional manner house, yet the interiors of the guest rooms are all refurbished, modernized, clean, neat, and beautiful. All the staff members are friendly and helpful. We stayed a total of 4 nights here and enjoyed our stay very much.
The location of the establishment is slightly away from the center of Dublin. We needed to take a train to visit the places of interest which are pretty much concentrated in the city center. Still, I should add that the train station is just steps away. And the nice tranquility of the high-class neighborhood well compensated for the slight remoteness.

I absolutely loved the place. It was very beautiful, the staff was friendly, they had homemade lemonade and cakes when we arrived.
The one and only disappointment was the breakfast. I was very much looking forward to taste this fabulous breakfast I saw on the pictures, but they started to serve it from 7.30. Booking the place I had the knowledge they started at 7.00, but no. So, we had to leave to the airport and they offered us a takeway breakfast. Unfortunately that breakfast didn't meet our expectations. Just a bottle of water, two slices of bread, butter, a teaspoon of jam, a muffin and fruit. It was poor. I really wanted to have this breakfast I saw on the pictures, unfortunately I missed it.

This hotel was fabulous. The check-in clerk treated us so graciously and seeing my Mom walked with a stick changed our booking to a ground floor room and at the same time upgraded us. It was really hot and he very kindly organised us a fan. He couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also great and again the staff were fabulous. The position of the hotel is ideal for quick access to the Aviva Stadium and was very convenient with parking in site. It is set in a lovely street and not at all noisy. I will definitely be back. I can't recommend it enough.
Everything was absolutely fabulous

- Great location - no need for a car as all transport is at your door and the walk to central Dublin is easy. - Fantastic property - lots of Irish period features. - Nice touch with the honesty bar and complimentary afternoon tea with cakes. - superb breakfasts. - Comfortable beds and good quality bedding. - Front desk staff are beyond helpful and friendly.
- Bathroom needs updating - old bath and shower with cracked fittings. - Noisy locks for rooms - key system that you have to keep turning. Especially noisy at night! - Need blinds on front facing rooms as it's a busy road and you feel a bit exposed once the blackout curtains are open. - Not sure how the housekeeping system works but we did have to request clean towels and cups etc during our stay - it was not cleaned during the 3 day stay. - Breakfast staff do need to brush up on their English. It was difficult sometimes to get a breakfast order across! Having said all of the above - when the staff were asked for help they were excellent but there were a few gaps in service.

The property was beautiful and bigger than I had imagined. The breakfast and hospitality was fantastic. The breakfast location, a sunroom, is stunning! They had a great selection of things off the menu like cheeses and pastries in addition to the menu to order from. There is also a lounge area where one can have coffee, tea and treats anytime throughout the day and play games or just chat.
We went during a hot time all around Europe and the rooms felt extremely stuffy and hot. A fan would have been nice. It also was a bit of a walk 30-40 mins to where everything is happening. I honestly didn’t mind but that may be important for some people to know. There also was parking on the premise but just know that this parking spots are tight and few
