The Inn is a delightful and attractive building as you leave town headed toward Mt. Rushmore. It is convenient for access and easy walking distance to shopping and dining opportunities. The lady at the front desk when we checked in gave us helpful suggestions on access to Mt. Rushmore, told us about their evening presentation (which we were unaware of) and gave us the best advice on where to park. She was very helpful and it was greatly appreciated. Always nice to start the day with breakfast and this one has a little something for everyone. I like sweet rolls, my wife likes yogurt so we were covered. The Inn is quiet and the rooms are clean, spacious, and the bed was comfy. For the price you can't ask for much more.

Can't think of a thing with the Inn. Some of the local dining places were a little sketchy, but overall a fun time and a nice little community.

Loved the location: in town, close to an outdoor activity center, walkable to dining and activities. Breakfast was decent, especially given the size of the establishment. It’s a small property, but well attended to; the staff were locals and knowledgeable about the area. I loved the Teddy Roosevelt themes throughout. We booked one of the loft rooms, which had 4 Beds (2 singles in the loft) which was great for our family of 4. They also have a pool (no spa 😢) and an arcade room with pool table and ping pong table - super family friendly!

The ONLY complaint was the AC unit struggled to condition the loft well. We ran the upstairs fan the first night but the second night the kids turned it off during the day (oops) and it got too warm to sleep and the parents beds’ were invaded 🤣.

I really liked the location. It was 2 miles from Mount Rushmore and in the middle of the Keystone Boardwalk. There was mini golf and adventure park across the street. I enjoyed going to the shops and restraunts that were along the boardwalk. There was a small pool and game room in the hotel as well. The breakfast was good with real eggs...not powdered hotel eggs. Although I didn't speak with many staff other than at check-in, she was very friendly. I would stay there again.

It is not a brand new hotel, but it has been renovated. Watch your step as you come off the stairs. Our TV had some internet connection issues, so when we came in for the night we couldn't watch it.

Very charming, our room was recently remodeled. Very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable. The jetted tub was wonderful after our long drive. Breakfast had both hot and cold selections with variety everyday. Coffee and breakfast was served with real dishware. No paper products here. Takes you back in time with the Roosevelt decor. Rocking chairs in the fireplace room to set and drink your coffee and relax. Outdoor tables and chairs on the patio with rockers. The second floor has a game room, pool table and indoor pool. Also a guest laundry. The lady at the front desk gave us some suggestions of where to eat and the food was delicious. Nice location, only a few miles from Mount Rushmore. We would stay here again if in the area. Highly recommend.

There was nothing that we didn't like

It's a nice hotel with friendly staff and within minutes to Mt Rushmore. Breakfast was good, we enjoyed the pancake maker. Parking was decent but could get pretty tight if the hotel was fully booked especially because it goes up the ramp that only fits one car at a time. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay and the staff was always helpful with every encounter we had.

You can tell the hotel is outdated (hallways, bathroom) but they do their best to maintain the hotel. The bathroom didn't have a fan/vent and instead had this knob/timer that turns on a yellow light that I guess dries the bathroom.

Breakfast was the same as other hotels. I would have liked a more traditional breakfast, such as eggs served to order, or omlets served toorder. The facility can handle it, and it would not be much to just have small, ham onions, green peppers, or whatever is in season, and just have a person to cook it in front of the person. It would make the experience more like the times of Roosevelt? Maybe? But the staff was very nice and helpful.

Great View, Good Parking, Comfortable room, location was good near activities like the Tramway Adventures. Breakfast was excellent.

We paid extra for a balcony room - imagining sitting out enjoying the fresh mountain air - but EVERYTIME we went out on our balcony there were "neighbors" smoking so there was only smoke filled air - nothing fresh about it. I know with smoking rooms that can't be helped, but still irritating. The drain in our sink and tub were nearly plugged, they drained SUPER SLOW. We were only there 1 night, so we didn't bother calling to have it addressed, we just told them on our way out.

The Family Suite was our largest room of the trip. The balcony was great, and the beds were comfortable. The room TVs were the only smart TVs we encountered on our road trip. The ability to login to my YouTube TV account and/or other apps is way undervalued. This should become the standard in all hotels. The Rushmore Tramway Adventures park is directly across the street, and Mt. Rushmore is only minutes a way. Free on-site parking is always welcome, too. The free breakfast is one of the better ones we've had, and the only one with non-plastic/foam dishes and cutlery. The staff was very gracious and helpful.

While the parking is free, it is limited. Especially if you have a larger than average vehicle like we did. The TV in the bedroom area was undersized. The bathroom was on the smaller side as well.

Very comfortable room and bed, the balcony was a nice bonus, and the location was great, as close as possible to Mt Rushmore but a lively town with lots of restaurants.

Despite tea and coffee making appliances being advertised as amenities in the room, these have apparently been discontinued in favour of a single tea/coffee machine in the lobby, but this was out of order after only two months of being installed, so no hot drinks were available.

The receptionist was the nicest person ever! The room was perfectly cleaned and we had tons of of towels available! We had the best breakfast ever, everything was available and you can find tons of of different options: eggs, oat meals, muffins, cinnamon buns, yogurts, sausages, potatoes, pancakes and a lot of other stuff! The location is perfect if you are visiting Mount Rushmore. You can walk to different restaurants and local gift shops!! I 100% recommend to stay by this place because the employees gave us their best!!! Thanks!
