An incredible stay. You can tell the hotel was renovated. I'm not sure of the previous looks but from the very beginning we were treated to a great place. Friendly staff, answered all my questions. Even though you are in a very touristy area the hotel was quiet and calm, on a side street so was nice. Room was spacious for us 4, instead of carpet there was wooden floor which we appreciated and style of the room was great with enough tables and empty fridge to store our snacks. I parked on street but noticed that the hotel has it's own underground parking. It was a great experience and looking forward to come back again on our next trip.

Nothing to dislike, very good stay.

We had a lovely stay at Carlton Hotel Buda Castle. Although we had some issues with rooms, they were solved graciously and we left satisfied with the solution and communication. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable. There was coffee machine, all the amenities and everything was clean and in order. Staff was amazing - very kind and attentive, trying to solve any issues with care and patience. The breakfast was great - good selection of hot dishes, cold dishes, fruits and veggies. We loved it! Location is perfect as it's very close to some landmarks and the chain bridge is very close. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything was ok.

They hotel staff were super kind. We had to leave two nights early due to very grave personal emergency, they were extremely kind and they even reimbursed us part of the money. Really nice people. They helped us a lot. I come to Budapest fairly often and for sure I will be back here. The hotel itself is very nice! The building is not brand new but it is very well maintained. Really nothing bad to say about it. Very professional and kind staff. Fairly big rooms, nice breakfast. The position is amazing just next to the Buda Castle.

The staff was nice and friendly, the room was very clean and the bed was wide and comfortable. The location is fantastic as it's right below the castle hill and 2 min walk to the Margit híd. It's also extremely quiet, some may even find it too quiet at night!

We were satisfied, however, I can imagine a more demanding guest may expect more from a 4-star, eg. the furniture was a bit dated, the mini-bar was empty, more equipment would be nice - iron, shampoo, etc. But then again, these are not necessities, just little details that create the luxury atmosphere.

Super clean, very well maintained, classy hotel for a very reasonable price. If you wan to stay in the Buda side of Budapest, this is a nice hotel to consider. 15 mins walking distance (slightly uphill though) to Fisherman Bastion and a very short walk to the Buda funicular and the start up to Buda castle. If you order to reach Buda Castle and Fisherman bastion without climbing stairs or going uphill, then go to the Buda Funnicular ( about 10 minutes flat walk from hotel).

Everything is very good except the Breakfast seemed little expensive and I didn’t take the breakfast for that reason. Depending on which road you take to go to hotel you might end up the steep stair aide. Avoid that side if you have heavy luggage

The location is superb, within an easy walk of the bridge over the river, and a lovely restaurant near by. The breakfast was outstanding, a great selection was available and plenty of choices of fruit, cereals, breads and hot food. The room was spacious, a little hot for us but we were able to open the large window and door ( which led out to a little balcony which was nice )

I could not improve on anything

This is my second time staying at Carlton Hotel Buda Castle! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless, spacious, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, close to all the main attractions. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options. A special thank you to the entire team for their excellent service and hospitality!

- I thought the room would have a bath but it only had a shower ( this was a balcony room, more expensive than standard, but standard has a bath! ) + Decor a bit dark but this is reflected in photos

The location was excellent for getting around the city using public transport. Also walking distance from the castle district. Small bar area with electronic games table which was nice to use when returning at night. Breakfast was as expected with plenty of choice.

The soap/shower gel dispenser required squeezing hard to obtain any which was no good for anyone with a weak wrist. Press down type more suitable for all. No new toilet roll put in room when very little left so ran out.

I have stayed in this hotel several years ago and recently and now it is a truly great property. The location is top-top, everything is within walking distance and the price-value ratio is also superb. It has been nicely decorated recently, the whole hotel is immaculately clean, the staff is exceptionally friendly, the breakfast was superb and much better than the usual 4 star quality.
