We stayed just one night, but it felt like a little dream! The place has such a unique and authentic atmosphere — full of charm and character. Everything was sparkling clean, and we felt so welcomed from the very first moment. A huge thank you to the lovely ladies from the staff, especially Jessica at the reception — she was incredibly kind and helpful! Our room had everything we needed, and the shared kitchen downstairs was a great bonus — perfect if you want to prepare something for yourself. If you’re looking for a cozy and soulful place to stay in Malta — this is it. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Breakfast was fabulous. The staff there were so friendly. The room was clean. I could ask to change towels easily (because I stayed there a week). Laundry service was available (7 euros extra) which was cheaper than coin laundry. I could just ask and leave my clothes to the reception, my clean clothes were waiting for me in my room. I found it very helpful. Good for a long stay.

The window wasn't shut properly and it was ajar. It was winter but mosquitos were still active and I've got several bites. Probably because of the window... I could hear the noises from the other room (but not too loud).

The Maltese Sun is for us Nr 1) during our stay in Malta! Everything was just perfect. The staff was very nice and professional, always smiling and helpful ( the top level! ). The breakfast served on the roof terrace in a beautiful scenery with local cheese, fresh fruits, eggs..and what You wish.. was delicious. We have also the amazing room with patio, in an atmosphere and style of the old maltese house, with many flowers outside and nice stylish furniture. It was clean every day. The location of the Apartment is optimal, in the centre, nearby the sea, but not across the street, so it was nice quiet. We highly recommend the Maltese Sun Apartment and we are going to visit it next year!

Everything was great!

I have traveled for many years, but first time in Europe I experienced such high level hospitality and fantastic and friendly staff.🥰 I've spent ten amazing days in The Maltese Sun, Sliema. That was best choice, what I noticed just after opening main door. I saw fabulous interior of renovated house. I felt like I went back in time... Smilled Jessica checked me in, explained everything, gave a lot of tips regarding the stay on the island, traveling, sightseeing etc. I was extremely tired, so my short nap extended... Next day I at delicious breakfast at sunny terrace, served as open buffet and scrambled eggs prepared by always smilled Linda 🥰. In case you fell cold, blankets were available and stoves were on. It was lovely time woth Linda, and the other girl, while Linda had off. Everyday I could count on Jessica and the other receptionist help and support 😊 The last I had a huge pleasure to meet rhe owner of this magical house Christoph and Ruth, charming lady. Room was very tidy and comfortable, with excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the beach, restaurants, promenade and bus stop. All above gave me 100% conviction, that The Maltese Sun is best place to stay in Sliema, Malta. Ewa.

This place was a steal when I booked it. Prime location and soon as I walked in it was like home. Very warm and friendly staff. I particularly loved the room I got. Very comfortable bed and pillows. (Forgot to ask where they’re from I need them). The whole stay was really good, the self service kitchen area was a good touch. The breakfast on the roof terrace was a big hit. And Linda’s scrambled eggs were 10/10. I usually judge a place by how issues get resolved the way Nicholai of Nicholas (pardon the wrong spelling) handled the door issue I had was outstanding. I honestly cannot wait to go back to this place for another stay, prime location in Sliema few mins walk and youre in the middle of it all. Beaches, shops, buses all very near. I’ll be back here.

The fact that I had to leave after 3 days. 🥲

I had room 21 this time, which is the bijou single room, upstairs. It grew on me, actually, despite its small size, and I couldn't help noticing the 4 pictures on the wall, and the large wardrobe. I think they were trying to tell me something, though, such as: "You'd be a lot happier if you got yourself a Supermodel," or something like that. Linda still does a fantastic job on breakfasts, though, and she set me up nicely for the day ahead. I'll be back, very soon, and this time, since I've got the message now, it might be a 'we.' I still enjoy a pint of Cisk in the Plough & Anchor, which is a 5 minute walk away, and Peppi's is just across the road from there. Dr Paul Harris

Nice building with history. Basic rooms but if you plan to be out and about all day you don't really need more. What makes this place special is definitely its staff. We arrived much earlier than check-in time and even though we hadn't been promised room availabilty beforehand, the room was waiting for us. It was a really nice gesture. The breakfast was varied and tasty, especially scrambled eggs prepared to order by happy and smiling staff - nice start to a day. Rooms cleaned every day. Great location. We had a really pleasant stay.

The staff is amazing and very helpful. They helped us a lot with renting scooters and organizing our days around Malta. The room was super clean and spacious. AC was working well and they also have international plugs in case you forgot yours. The location is amazing, close to everything. Would definitely return

The building was a bit badly maintained. There was a bucket on the floor for a leak and it was a bit smelly on the stairs. Corridors are very dark with not many lights. Nothing too bad. Just it could be better. The building is still gorgeous.

It has a very nice, friendly, and caring staff. Jessica is so kind and helpful. The breakfast area on the rooftop is refreshing and cool—I truly enjoyed every morning eating and sharing my fresh salads and fruits with the birds, alongside the delicious fried eggs or omelets made by Linda. I also want to thank Nohom, the perfect housekeeper, who kept everything clean and comfortable throughout my stay.
