The location of the property was great. Lovely staff and facilities. The room was clean to a high standard and very presentable. I loved the theme of the room which was a lovely touch.
I don’t know what it is down to, but when I booked I was under the impression from the advert that I was getting a Mountain View, a bath and a coffee machine. There was a kettle and decent instant available so wasn’t too bothered by that but there was no bath and the view outside the window was of the opposite side of the building.

This was a stop over place on our way back from Scotland. It was not far from the M6 and was an ideal place to stay. The staff were pleasant and the restaurant was fine serving pub menu dishes which were nice and hot. The place was well sited in the edge of the main tourist areas and has a number of heritage properties nearby.
I have no complaints about the property. It is not a high end hotel but the room was well decorated and the bathroom facilities were excellent.

The staff were super friendly and made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. We were shown around the facilities and then went to our room. The room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom had a good shower in it, some locally sourced soaps, and was lovely and clean. The food was delicious, reasonably priced. in the restaurant and served quickly. All in all, we were very pleased with the Gilpin Bridge Inn.
There was nothing that we didn't like!

Warm and comfy room, walls were paper thin so beware lol. Staff were lovely and the host was really friendly
Breakfast. Almost felt guilty helping yourself to things as they were hidden away. Didn't realise it was continental (or that it would be pre-packaged pastries), and the cooked meal was £12 + on top. It wasn't great, 1 egg, 1 bacon, 1 black pudding, a few beans. Seems we missed out on sausages, but hey ho

Booked this very last minute and when we arrived, staff were very sweet and welcoming. Room was nice - compact, but comfy, clean, and had everything you'd need for an overnight. I understand they are doing some renovations bit by bit to the hotel which is great, and it's a really nice old building. Breakfast was limited and only a very small window if you wanted cooked breakfast. Not an issue for us, but something to keep in mind.

We made a late booking after a terrible experience at another establishment and arrived about 30 minutes later. We received a lovely welcome. Our room was very comfortable. The food was good. The Inn is very dog friendly which made our stay even more enjoyable. Would recommend.
There was a bit of a problem with the shower screen in the bathroom it didn't fit so the bathroom floor became very wet. Limited choice for breakfast but what we had was fine.

Clean and comfortable
The breakfast is poor, not worth the value of the hotel with breakfast. The table in the room is tiny with one chair only. No wardrobe just few nails in the wall to hang coats. The window looks towards a small accommodation and noticed they closed their curtain.

Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Food was basic pub grub but well cooked and presented at a reasonable price. Would recommend to others as a great base for the Lake District. Good parking.
Shower was over the bath. Would have preferred a separate shower

Good location, good parking, simple but good continental breakfast (included), good price, scrupulously clean room and bathroom, hot shower.
The walls aren't soundproof, so we could hear conversations and snoring from the room next door.

The breakfast room was clean and well laid out, used dishes were removed quickly by staff. The continental breakfast very good with lots of choice of cereals, croissants, toast and fruit. There was a fridge with fresh milk, fruit juices and varieties of yogurts.
The atmosphere between the guests in the breakfast room was quiet and may have been better with some background music.
