It was very close to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. The owners were very nice and welcoming! The beds were so comfortable. The room was spotless! It's an older motel but they are updating it. In fact while we were there they replaced all the locks on every door! We will definitely stay again!

The location was less than five mins away from Busch Gardens, so after a late night at the theme park it felt Amazing to be able to get into the room and settle so quickly. Amazing 2-level suite that was not obvious to the naked eye, but this room was complete and cozy! Fantastic value for the price, and will Definitely book to stay here again!

The decor was a bit dated, looks like something from the late 70s when I was a small kid! Shower needed just a bit of a scrub. Otherwise, looked and smelled pleasant. The suite has a fridge for your cold items, but only a microwave, no stove. The window heating unit set off the smoke detector for about a min when I activated it.

Location, location, location - needed a simple place for one night while we went to Busch Gardens. Merrimac Inn (was formerly Rodeway Inn) was exactly what we needed (two travelers). The location from Busch Gardens, after a long day of riding coasters, was just down the road. The king size bed was comfy, the TV was a nice flat panel and the cable selection was good! The waterflow in the shower was good with plenty of hot water.

This room was exactly what I needed after a long day of theme-parking! I needed a comfy bed, nice shower, and peace & quiet - this Inn and this room delivered! "What didn't I like"??? Well, without nitpicking, the room didn't have a lot of wall pictures. Yeah, not a lot of artwork. An the table/desk was close to the bed. Yeah, too close. Did it matter????? NO!!! We have season passes to Busch Gardens and we'll stay each time we're in Williamsburg.

There was plenty of parking and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. When we needed towels or toilet paper it was easy to ask for more.

There was only a deadbolt on the inside of our door and the remains of a missing chain lock. But we were able to prop a chair against the door for added security. The extra blankets had VERY strong detergent on them so we couldn't use them comfortably when it got colder as they irritated our allergies.

The staff was extremely polite and understanding. I originally booked 2 rooms but had to cancel one due to my husband being stuck on duty one of the days. When I adjusted my booking, I canceled the wrong day! The owners were very kind and allowed me to move my day, and were very understanding the two times my husband and I accidentally locked ourselves out of our room.

The bathtub floor was pretty dirty from age/wear and tear but the rest of the room was really clean.

Not far from my work and grocery store and others not far But I wish they had a waiting area in case you arrive a little early, however they were very pleasant and accommodating.

One one the best showers ever. Great nozzle and had hand bars. Toilet flushed but never sure if it would. Bed very comfy. Towel service every day TV had many stations available Lamp had bulb burned out

Bathroom fan was very loud Mirror glass not cleaned well

The owners are wonderful and promptly responsive when we brought up a couple of minor issues. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at Merrimac Inn and Suites.

The one aspect that detracted just a bit from the overall comfort level of our accommodations was that we were never able to take a really warm shower. We mentioned this to the owner and were told that the boilers were on the opposite side of the property. We realize that this problem might not be easily (cost-effectively) fixable. In the short term, I guess that those guests who are affected just make do until they can get back home or somewhere else for that good, hot shower.

At the price, the place is dated of course. Very good location. Could use improvements, but would stay there again. Clean, and no bugs type thing.

There were a few cleaning issues, but NOT BAD. Ice machine OUT OF ORDER, but used fridge.

Spacious rooms that were clean and comfortable at a great value. The owners were gracious and accommodating. It's a motel and we knew that when we made the reservation. A great find and a little gem in the heart of Williamsburg.

Wasn't anything that stuck out. It's an older property but the owners do a great job with upkeep.
