I stayed here for 5D4N. I was traveling alone and fell sick one night, and had to reach out to the staff for help. The receptionist on duty (male) and two other hotel staff (females) attended to me very promptly. They even called for an ambulance, which arrived soon after. When I had stabilised, the receptionist helped me to my room and gave me a bottle of water to hydrate (as I was vomiting). Very grateful to have attentive and caring hotel staff, esp when I am alone in a foreign city. I didn’t manage to get the staff’s names. But this happened on 20th Sep night/21 Sep midnight. The hotel receptionist was a young, tall, fair and blonde haired man. Room wise (comfort, cleanliness) was perfect. Location was also perfect (very near Budget Georgia so it is convenient for reporting time; also very near Piatto cafe with ample tables and chairs that’s great for working/reading; a quaint bakery called Fena with sweet cakes; and White Bridge with great views and restaurants— just to name a few!). Even housekeeping was great as the lady was very attentive to my needs and did a great job cleaning my room everyday. Thanks, Grand Opera. And pls help me thank/ reward the staff on duty on 20 Sep night — 21 Sep midnight (and morning), as the episode took place at midnight. Thank you so much once again.

The staff were most attentive. The location is unbeatable, smack in the city centre. The interiors are exceptionally tasteful, a trendy mix of act deco and mid-century modern.

The issues are in the details. Double bed on arrival instead of twin beds (promptly rectified!). Neither the kettle nor the coffee machine in working condition. Rotten cucumbers at breakfast. Instant coffee served. Leaking towel dryer in the bathroom. These are all minor inconveniences but it's a real pity there's not enough attention to detail in such a good-looking, well-positioned hotel.

We have noise from the air conditioner in our room. I told them about it, and they tried to fix it but couldn't so changed the room to another with the upgrade. The upgraded room was excellent. The location is good. There is the city center.

Noise from the air conditioner and in the bathroom (they fixed it). There wasn't milk in the breakfast and coffee wasn't good without milk. But other food was tasty. It is quite difficult to find parking near there but this is pay for a very central location.

There is a very big problem regarding checkin. I also told this to staff members, I shouldnt be required to read and sign checkin form in Russian. Just because hotel program(software) doesnt have English I still dont want to see any Russian text when I enter a hotel in Georgia. This is very sad. I could have written 5 or 3 score review but because its nice place and nice staff I decided not to give such a bad score. Breakfast needs to be improved as well.

In fact, this is the best hotel in Kutaisi. Ideal location, all several streets of Kutaisi are within walking distance. Large and new rooms, stylish and bright, many with balconies. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant is very good. Beautiful rooftop terrace, covered and open. For hotel staff: With the management of the hotel itself, there is a lot of room for improvement: - the shower is leaking (room 302) - the safe is very stylish, but it was closed and impossible to use (room 302) - there is a coffee machine in the room, but there is no capsule for it - no phone lists in the room (receptionist can be called 100) - you have to accept that the choice of tea is very important. for breakfast and in the room ONLY black tea. You need to have the same green and herbal teas.

My first visit to Kutaisi was made particularly memorable whilst staying in the Grand Opera Hotel. The front desk staff provided suggestions for local restaurants in town and were always eager and willing to help even with the most trivial minutia which appear occasionally when travelling alone. Similarly he breakfast and restaurant team were able to help with breakfast requests, augmenting the well apportioned buffet-style offerings. Extra points to the highly professional and warm hearted young women -especially Tekla - of the roof terrace garden lounge. I was immediately made to feel at home in a both professional and genuinely friendly manner. The staff there must be especially congratulated for having made me feel welcomed and informed as to the food and drink available there.

I did find it odd that on the evening prior to checking out (my stay was for 2 nights) that I was rather abruptly asked to immediately pay in full and in cash. Although the hotel states that payment can be made using credit cards on this site, I was informed that the system was down and that the only payment option was cash on the spot and NOW! However to be honest this rather inconvenient inconsistency - when considering my overall impressions and the fact that the hotel has just recently opened - might be be otherwise overlooked. Next time guys a little more advanced notice would be very much appreciated!

Breakfast was awesome; freshly prepared. Christina’s service was excellent. Loved the fennel emulsion. Gio, Vako and Valeri at the reception was very helpful and sorted out our laundry cleaning for us. Room was very clean.

Excellent location, very kind and welcoming staff, specially the manager who accommodated our request to have rooms that are close to each other. Family room is spacious, super clean, bedsheets & pillows white and neat. Restaurant has super delicious food and ambiance, the service was exceptional and the waitresses always smiling. We love everything about this hotel !!

Parking is a challenge but this was resolved by the kind lady at the reception who helped us get a ticket through the app.

The best hotel in Kutaisi. Everything is completely up to western standards, but you'd pay at least twice or three times the price for the same room in Europe. The decor is beautiful and the room very comfortable. The location great. They have a rooftop lounge which a view of Bagrati Cathedral. The staff are very friendly, especially Giga who helped us tremendously with everything, and was very open to talking with us and telling us about the city. Giga as well as all the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and relaxed.

We loved everything about the property! It was so gorgeous, all of the little details were perfect. the place was very clean the whole time. The staff were the real highlight though, especially the manger! They couldn't do enough for you and we felt like we were staying at a home away from home, the location was very central, within very short distance to all city attractions, I highly recommend and if the have more then 10 I will definitely do it ..
