The most perfect, flawless, exceptional hotel stay I've had in Europe in a long time. Everything was beyond fabulous -- the welcoming staff (charming, helpful, smiling, kind); the room has every mod convenience and attractive feature you could wish for, and is modern and peaceful (we received a gorgeous upgrade). The savoury breakfast (organic and fabulous, with amazing fresh food) and the location itself was quiet yet central, featuring a beautiful garden, and a very easy, 12 minute walk to the old town. Best of all? Waking up to bird song and views of the stunning, courtyard garden. We will return! We must mention several staff that made our stay truly exceptional: Sarah (Italiana); Sara (Espanola); Gary (charming young man in the bar every evening); as well as the hotel director, Ms. Andrea. The gentleman at breakfast was absolutely darling! So happy and accommodating - sadly, we did not get his name. And two other servers, one at breakfast, and another at dinner, were most kind and gracious, bringing us delicious, hot soup and lovely bread late one evening after we returned from a concert, even though kitchen was closed. We used the affordable laundry service to have a few things washed and folded, and they did an exceptional job. Thank you, thank you! I have worked in hotel industry 12 years and I have high standards. I can truly say: this place is MAGNIFICENT! Delighted by this stunning hotel -- feels like 5 stars all the way!

Only one small item: our room did not have a full-length mirror! Given the elegance of Salzburg and the calibre of this 4* hotel itself, we found it surprising a full-length mirror was not in the room. Ah, well. Everything else was perfect!

To start off, had the nicest staff. From check-in, to check-out. Whatever requests we had, they never said no, and they tried their best with and for everything to help us have a comfortable and smooth trip. I’ve never had this kind of experience in any hotel. The spa was the most relaxing and best experience, I had to go everyday. Rooms we clean and spacious. Location was centrally located to where it was close but also not too close to the center. Close enough to walk, far enough to be in a quiet area of the city. One of the most perfect hotels I’ve stayed in out of the 40 countries I visited. Thank you to the staff at the hotel!

Nothing it was great!

Hotel is cozy and quiet, walkable distance to all key attractions. Breakfast food quality and selection was good as well. Bed was very comfy.

There were two main issues that we had. The service during breakfast and dinner was inconsistent. Staff barely speaks english, so it's been a struggle to get the service. One morning it was great, with coffee, cacao for the kid and omletes, and another morning we were not even able to get coffee. Another issue was with the room itself. While a small room is ok, the separation between the sleeping space and bathroom/toilet does not provide sufficient privacy. There is sliding door and the wooden/glass panel, which means that if you go to the toilet at night, the entire room lights up plus there is no sound isolation. Not very convenient with the kid.

The hotel is very good, a beautiful garden area with loungers and chairs to relax, the bar and restaurant beside the garden are very comfortable and calming. The staff were very keen to help us, not just about the hotel but also the surrounding areas and what was good for us to explore. Especially Stefan in the bar, who took the time to explain the local area and found us a wonderful lake 30 minutes from the city, we had a great day there. We also found the bus to take us there was free when staying in the hotel, an added bonus. Salzburg is beautiful and only a 10 minutes comfortable stroll from the hotel.

We eat in the restaurant once for dinner and that was very average and quite expensive. Although the breakfasts were very good, a great selection and variety.

The hotel itself is located in quiet area but a short walk (10-15 minutes) from the old part of Salzburg, and convenient to public transportation. Front desk staff was exceptionally helpful in telling us how to get places, making dinner reservations, etc. The room was very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Breakfast was excellent.

We really liked the entire experience.

This was the best hotel during our vacations in Austria - truly hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcome. Staff is exceptional - we had friendly interactions with Mr Rohi from the reception and Mr Cajetan - both extremely nice and helpful. Credits go also to the staff at the bar and breakfast room -I have no names but they were all super nice and this means a lot - as a guest it makes you feel special. As for the hotel itself, it is a hidden gem in Salzburg - we already plan to visit the city again and stay at Boutique Hotel & Villa AUERSPERG as this trip was far too short. To summarise: 1. Great location - walking distance to Mirabell Palace & Garden and old town. 2. Parking available and easily accessible 3. Room spacious and well equipped with coffee/tea/water facilities plus personal welcome message :-) and sweet Mozart Kugeln 4. Cozy bed and lovely bathroom with all needed amenities 5. Welcome drink 6. Delicious breakfast with a great variety, hot and warm options (including warm ginger drink, avocado etc.) 7. Magical garden with beautiful nature and bee corner - employee of the month ;-) 8. Amazing facilities - working space, couch, pillows etc. The hotel has great Management and there is nothing we would improve. Thank you to the entire Team for warm hospitality. Vielen Dank!

Lovely butique hotel with a cosy homely feeling and details. While the room is a bit on the smaller side it is extremely cosy and has everything you need. Loved the tea/coffee bar and music. Tv has a couple of english channels you just need to switch the audio since Austrians dub everything. The bathroom is also great with everything you need. Breakfast selection was wonderful (deli, cheeses, various cornflakes, pastry, different types of bread, freshly squeezed juices, eggs and coffee/tea to order included.. maybe a suggestion: add hot dogs or bratwurst) and the staff is very kind.

The bed was a bit too soft but overall cosy.

Lovely quieter surroundings with great outdoor garden & patio areas - but only a 15-20 min walk in to heart of old town - and only a 5-10 min walk to some nice bars & restaurants. The best thing about the hotel was the AMAZING breakfast and the decor and furnishings everywhere were lovely

The staff were friendly at breakfast but did not always remember to bring coffee when asked. The bar staff were not as courteous and did not even offer an apology when they gave us the completely wrong bill for 2 drinks

Breakfast was excellent, and surprisingly, there was still some left in the pot ;-) oatmeal with plum compote – absolutely delicious and brought back childhood memories. The selection included all kinds of bread, both savory and sweet, and even several types of gluten-free options. The breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of everything. The best part, however, was the sleeping experience. The mattress was exceptional, and the bedding deserved 110 points, not just ten. We’ve never had such amazing pillows and duvets in any hotel before. In the morning, we immediately asked about the brand, and before leaving, we even visited the manufacturer’s store to buy the same ones for our home – a crazy idea, but we were so satisfied we just had to! ;-) We are very grateful and will definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Salzburg.

The bathroom was a bit small, but that doesn’t change the rating – it was still excellently equipped.

We loved everything about this hotel. From the beautiful bedroom where everything has been well thought out, the lovely breakfast with loads of choices, the serene garden area, to the exceptional staff who make this a very special place.

There was no down side; the only thing I would tweak is more dinner choices in the restaurant in the evening. The hotel is 10 mins from the old town so sometimes good to eat in the hotel and enjoy the bar and outside area.
