The location was excellent in Karlaplan which is quiet area to live and enjoy the atmosphere. 5 minutes walk from metro station and just near to shopping mall, where the restaurants, cafes and supermarkets are located, nice places to eat. If you enjoy walking, just 20-30 minutes walk to downtown, to Strandvagen and even, we easily walked to Gamla Stan. 20 minutes walk to Djurgarden, where Vasa Museum, The Viking Museum, ABBA the Museum, Junibacken and Grona Lund are located. The breakfast offered the diverse choice and the staff was super friendly and always supportive. Hospitality tray lobby makes you feel welcome. The hotel has a garden where you can sit and enjoy your time talking or having dinner. The size of the room was suitable for 4 people and the quality of everyday cleaning was of high standard. Internet connection was without any problems.

Difficult to remember something which was not satisfactory. It would be more convenient to store clothes on shelves in the room rather than on hangers.

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfasts were excellent ! The rooms were clean, beds comfy and reasonably quiet. We also thought that the complementary hot drinks and snacks in the reception area which also had a lovely beauquet of flowers were a homely touch and made the space a welcoming place to meet. The location suited us perfectly, lots of places to eat locally, a short walk to the station or a longer and beautiful walk to the Djurgarden, or into town. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Stokholm! Thank you everyone at Karlaplan. 🙂

Only that the Economy Room did not have anywhere to store clothes. It was very small . Maybe ok for an overnight stop, but not great for a longer stay. The Standard was fine though, and we id appreciate that the hotel was fully booked when we were there. I wouldn't book one again.

I stayed at this hotel with my child for two days — and we had a wonderful experience! We booked a standard room, which was small but very clean and cozy. Everything we needed was provided: a kettle with tea, coffee, and sugar, as well as all the necessary toiletries — shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toilet paper — which was very convenient. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area, just a 5–7 minute walk from the metro, a bus stop, ICA supermarket, cafés, and even a McDonald’s. The location is really convenient: you can walk to the Old Town, the Central Station, or Gröna Lund amusement park in about 30 minutes, or take just a couple of stops by public transport. The staff were especially lovely — always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. It was also very helpful that we could leave our luggage before check-in. In the lobby, tea, coffee, cookies, and muffins are available 24/7 — a nice touch after a long day exploring the city. And the breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Very diverse, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. You can really tell that the staff put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome. I had read some reviews about breakfast being crowded, but I didn’t experience that at all — everything was well organized. There’s also a charming outdoor terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast in warm weather. This hotel is a perfect choice for both families and solo travelers. Comfortable, clean, well-located, and with excellent service. I would definitely stay here again!

I liked everything.

It's in the old centre, close to everything and yet is a quiet place where you can relax and sleep very well. The bedding is extra (€6) but the facilities are great, specially the kitchen which I loved! I've never seen such fully stocked up kitchen anywhere else! The plates, bowls, knifes, cutlery, mugs, pots, pans etc, not only beautiful with gorgeous colours but of high quality. Wooden chopping boards, 3 fridges, large french press, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee maker etc etc. You can basically prepare any type of meal there. The showers and toilets are clean, the communal are is so warm and cosy, the beds and pillows simply GREAT. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and recommend this lovely, cosy, very clean place to anyone! Thanks to Petra for giving me so much of her time to explain several things.

I was travelling for a meeting and the location of the hotel was perfect for me. There is not a lot to do around the area but there are a few dining options in a shopping mall nearby. The hotel was absolutely fine and clean. The staff were helpful and let me check in early. Breakfast was good and there was coffee and cookies 24/7 at the lobby.

The only thing that could be improved was the radiator in the room. It was a bit hot for my taste although it was super cold outside, and the temperature couldn't be adjusted. So I had to leave the window slightly open during the night to sleep well.

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Hotel Karlaplan - the staff were very friendly, the breakfast superb and the location is brilliant (a quiet street and a pleasant 20min walk into the centre of Stockholm.). There is also the added bonus of the lovely outdoor seating area at the back of the property, we loved having our breakfast there (it was very warm when we were there). We have been to Stockholm a few times - this is the best hotel we have stayed in and highly recommend it!

Check-in went very smooth. Rooms are super clean and they are changing all towels every day. Room is small, but modern, bed is comfortable. We had the best breakfast so far in this hotel, it's just amazing, it exceed our expectations. Also, all the day it's possible to have a coffee or a tea in hotel lobby. We enjoyed seating in hotel lobby, it was very cozy atmosphere for New Year.

The windows are pretty old, the room's temperature would be even higher in winter if there are proper windows in the room.

The breakfast was brilliant, so much choice. Coffee and cakes available during the afternoon was a lovely touch. Great location, maybe a five minute walk from the metro station and from there only two stops to the city's Central Station. Also walkable from the hotel to the city and also the museum district too where you'll find Vasa, Abba and much more.

Little storage in the room - no drawers or cupboards to hide anything away but didn't really bother us as we're only staying for two nights so travelling light!

We greatly enjoyed the breakfast, tasty and helped a lot in taking care of it for us. The location is in quite a nice neighbourhood although a ways walk to the city centre, about half an hour, or less than ten minutes to the nearest metro station. The room was excellent for what we needed.

It is a bit of a long walk to any of the city sites, or two stops on the metro to the city centre. However the walk is peaceful and in a nice area.

The hotel was brilliant, very clean and staff were brilliant. Loved the breakfast and how convenient the hotel is to all tourist attractions. Busses and train were both walking distance and it was super safe. I left my room open by mistake and staff made sure to close it and let me know, it is definitely a safe place. The hotel had this evening nibbles one of the days, I found that so sweet. I haven't seen that anywhere and will always remember that :)

Pillows were a bit painful for me. Bed was super comfy but pillows were a bit of a struggle.
