Excellent location half-way along the Royal Mile and on the main road from Waverley Train Station. Decent breakfast with fruit, yogurt, cold meats and cheese, 6+ cereals, Pancakes, sausage, bacon and other hot food, toast and pastries. Bed was comfy and room had facilities we needed. Staff very friendly.

We had room 001 conveniently located on entrance floor just near breakfast. Room was warm/stuffy, even at end of March with the window open. Having the window open meant you could hear the students/party-goers throughout the night... but this is the same in many big cities.

Breakfast is amazing. On the reception, gentleman is very kind .location is perfect. The shower is very nice

I booked 2 rooms 1st for my friends for 3 nights for 2 ppl they paid 220 eu altogether. I was 1 night with my son we paid 180 eu .bit dear .check in 3pm is a bit late, tbh and they aren't flexible at all. It would be nice to say to ppl that when you arrive early, maybe you can get in earlier if any room is ready .the window was open when we arrived in the room . The tv remote control is no battery .. we get room on the 3rd floor only you can use 1 elevetar .taking ages. And our room was like around the building like a labyrinth. In the room we had not much selection of tea .would be nice more milk in the room

The location was excellent at the bottom of the royal mile only 15 minutes from the train station all the local attractions restaurants shops etc were minutes away the hotel was lovely we were greeted by friendly staff and were able to have an early check in which was a bonus our room was on the 4th floor but there was two lifts to use our room was quite small but it was clean and tidy the bed was very comfortable the bathroom was also quite small with a shower no bath but we had everything we needed the room was very warm we paid for Breakfast which was a help yourself buffet there was pleanty choice hot and cold items avaliable overall we enjoyed our stay and its was great value for money compared to other hotels in the area the staff were very helpful and friendly would definitely recommend and will use this hotel on our next stay in Edinburgh

The bathroom was very small but it served our needs

The location was perfect, welcomed by backpipe players on the Royal Mile and everything I wanted to see and do was in walking distance (5 to 30 minutes). I couldn't sleep with my window open because of a lot of people yelling and singing at night, but as soon I closed the window it was completely silent, that was a relief. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, sausage, beans, bacon, (chocolate) croissants, baquette and bread to make toast, some cereal and yogurt and fruit. Personnel was very kind, ready to help with a smile on their face. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had everything I needed (bodywash, shampoo, hairdryer). Also a big enough bathroom to freshen up downstairs (once you've checked out and roam the city again) with complimentary tampons and pads (very thoughtful Ibis, nice job) if needed. Would love to stay at this hotel again.

Boiled eggs, fresh juice, ovenbaked buns and some tomatoes and chives would've been a nice addition to the breakfast buffet. Nothing else to add here.

Location was excellent for exploring Royal MIle, Edinburgh Castle and meeting places for tours outside of the city. The staff was very friendly and accomodating in providing fan for the room. The facilities were very clean. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of selections to choose from to eat.

Our first stay was on the Hunter Square side and was very noisy. Our second stay was in an interior room and was quiet. With both stays, however our rooms were warm even though it was only in 60s outside. Rooms don't have airconditioners. Fans helped.

The staff where lovely! The went above and beyond to help us with storing bags, and miscellaneous/preference requests ect: The room was clean, comfortable and felt secure and safe, coffee and tea sachets where a very nice addition.

There was no lock on the bathroom door, as it was just us two, this was no problem, however I can see this as being something that may need rectified. Though coffee sachets where available, there was no water in the kettle provided, and the only way of drinking water was by using the tap in the bathroom.

Great hotel for tourists staying in the Royal Mile area! The location is perfect, with several attractions, souvenir shops, restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is right-sized for tourists staying for a few days The room was nice and comfortable for a single traveller. The hotel staff was super friendly and professional. I would stay here again.

The room temperature was warm and made for uncomfortable nights. The window is only able to be opened a short distance for security reasons and the thermostat is not controllable by the guests.

The location of this property cannot be beat - in the heart of the Royal Mile. the Staff was mostly outstanding and very engaging and helpful

Our Room was very cramped - not that surprising for rooms in Hotels in European Cities everywhere. But lighting in the room was a bit weird and very poorly designed and particularly poor in the Bathroom. Shower Stall was incredibly tight. The first day, the drain n the shower overflowed almost flooded the bathroom floor. Took a look and the drain opening diameter was the size of a bathroom sink drain. Drain was cleared by maintenance. Room HVAC was inadequate. Layout of the room was poor. Breakfast food quality was mediocre.

we loved how central it was, the staff were lovely and the room was very clean. breakfast was nice and early and the dining area was very clean

we would've liked some drawers in the room to keep our things in, not everything can be hung in the wardrobe. although it's not the fault of the hotel it was very noisy outside our window. we hardly slept the whole time we were there. barrels were being rolled and bottles emptied in a bin, people walking right under our window til early hours, it was so loud! maybe other rooms are positioned better, we were room 111

Convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff. Staff accommodated my request for a quieter room.

Stayed at 2 floor - got lift to the floor and had to go up and down a set of stairs to a landing to get to my room. This was an issue for me as I had a very heavy suitcase. Not access to lifts to get up/down the landing. The bed itself was very uncomfortable and hard. A 5cm mattress liner on top of a hard brick mattress. It has to be the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever had staying in a hotel.
