We stayed for two nights in this fabulous hotel to attend our Granddaughters wedding ,not only does it sit in a lovely location the attention to detail inside with the décor adds to the pleasure of your stay. We must give credit to all the staff from the minute you arrive nothing was to much trouble, thank you to the member of kitchen staff who help us find our room when we accidentally walked into kitchen ,all the waiting staff work so hard always with a smile they defiantly deserve a mention. Our room was spotless, we were on the first floor, the room overlooked the lake and came with a Juliette balcony ,lovely bath and large walk in shower, we had plenty of hot water a safe, fridge, coffee machine selection of beverages also a very comfortable bed. The breakfast menu was very impressive all freshly cooked ,the eggs benedict is amazing as are the pancakes. We have been trying to find a negative but in all honesty the only one was the weather, which is obviously no fault of the hotel ,but it would have been lovely to sit outside on the very impressive balcony unfortunally not on this occasion.

Beautiful property in lovely countryside. The staff were outstanding -so friendly and so helpful. They could not be faulted . The way this hotel keeps weddings separate from hotel guests is amazing. There was a wedding and we hardly knew it was happening . The food in the restaurant was excellent too and all the waiting and bar staff were lovely and so well trained. Reception staff too were so welcoming and friendly and so helpful- thanks to them!! The standards of cleanliness in the rooms were exceptional and cleaning staff should be thanked fir their hard work

Everything was perfect

Not only was The Peak Edge located in the most beautiful spot, it was also an exceptional place to stay. We were upgraded from the Ashover to the Chatsworth Suite upon arriving, and the suite was absolutely stunning. Pros: - Great location - we went on one of the recommended woodland walks for 3 miles and it was gorgeous - Comfortable room and stay overall - Private garden space with comfy furniture was incredible, gave us the most of the weather! - Bathroom was incredible - Staff were so helpful, couldn't do enough for us - WiFi was free and worked perfectly, which helped as there was zero phone signal! - HIGHLAND COWS. That is all. - Food was phenomenal in the Red Lion restaurant attached to the hotel - breakfast was mega and the dinner we bought the night of was spectacular as well.

Not much to say here, but... Cons: - Water pressure in the shower could have been a little stronger. But this didn't really bother us. - ...That's really it.

Breakfast-good-continentual limited. The room was very warm but cosy. When we sat outside on the first day, beetles were everywhere, including in my drink. The glass around the external seating area needed cleaning, and the milk left in my fridge was going off. The bed was comfortable, and the location was fabulous. The staff was professional, and they looked great in uniform.

The coffee machine didn't work; it had a red light, and the water chamber was filled. TV channels are limited. I could not update the BBC i-Player, Netflix or Prime APP on the smart TV, so I could not watch any decent TV or films, so it's not great! If you had a shower, the bathroom floor would become very wet. The VENT extractor was not robust, so it became very steamy, especially if my wife was having a bath at the same time as the shower I was using.

We only stayed for one night and wish we'd stayed longer! We received a really warm welcome on arrival, both at reception and in the restaurant, and staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room was stylish, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. These standards were matched throughout the bar, restaurant and reception areas too. As it was New Year's Eve, the restaurant was serving a special 8 course tasting menu, which was absolutely delicious (including good vegetarian options). We booked our stay to break up a long journey home after visiting family, so that we could relax and enjoy NYE instead of spending most of the evening driving, and it ended up being such a perfect way to both celebrate and get a good night's rest. I really hope we'll return in the future!

Not a big issue at all, but if I stayed again I'd check the radio alarm clock before bed to make sure an alarm hadn't been set by a previous guest, as this unexpectedly woke us up at 6am 😂

The staff is fantastic. We booked expecting a simple stay and instead experience some of the most caring and well trained in our tour of London, Peak, Cotswold, and Cornwall. They were personable and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was very well prepared and they managed special requests without attitude or hesitation. We would recommend and stay again. The room was comfortable, clean and well presented. The reception was on point. It seemed to be popular with locals and we understand why.

No shelves in bathroom for wash bags/toiletries. Food in Red Lion was great. However a wonderful breakfast was spoilt on both mornings over toast. The first morning we asked for 2 brown and 1 white toast as there was 3 of us. The white toast never arrived. I asked for the toast the lady scowled then came bag with 1 slice of brown. The second morning I just wanted bacon and toast so I asked for 2 slices of brown and bacon and my son again ordered white. My bacon arrived on 1 slice of brown and the white never arrived. So I asked for the toast. 1 slice was brought for my son so I had to ask again for my 2nd piece so I could make a sandwich. What a pity as other than that the food was great.

This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed, clean and quiet and the attention to detail throughout the hotel is fabulous. My wife and I spent 2 nights here to celebrate our anniversary and the staff even took the time to write us a congratulations card and leave it in our room for when we arrived. We loved everything about our all too brief time here.

I genuinely cannot find fault. Everything was perfect and for that I would like to offer our sincere thanks to all of the staff.

Our room was fabulous, we were particularly glad of the air-con! Nice to have a small balcony. Outside views were very restful. Thank goodness for the super king bed! Restaurant setting very attractive.

For dinner, we were seated directly looking at the disabled toilet door! That could have been better given the views outside. Menu prices more Ritz than Derbyshire! Breakfast was a bit weird. We had to ask for, second drinks, butter, toast, marmalade, side plates. All a bit chaotic!

Young staff with no life experience behind the bar telling people they have had to much to drink, telling a fully grown adult male thats celebrating someones wedding to “go and have 10 mins and have some water” when in fact i didn’t arrive till 1930 to be told at 2230 that i was far to drunk and they wont serve me anymore and my wife has to now buy her own drinks, to be dragged outside by the manager for all to see to argue with me in the corridor for them to accuse me of taking photos of the bar staff even went through the photos on my phone, in the end it was proven i was fine and there was no photos to be allowed back in, so pointless really but spoilt mine and my wife night.
