We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property, just a stone’s throw from the beach. From the moment we arrived, the hosts Kyla and Martin made us feel completely at home — their warmth and friendliness truly stood out and made all the difference. The property is very well maintained, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and served quickly — a perfect start to the day! It genuinely felt like a home away from home, and we’re already looking forward to coming back and enjoy heated swimming pool . Highly recommended!

Unfortunately we missed the swimming pool which is opening in may 😔😭

Devon Court is just the right distance from Torquay's sea: 15 mins there, 18 mins back [partly uphill]. We loved the spring flowers visible from the breakfast room. The whole property was subtly decorated and easy to use. I liked the electric shower so much that i hope to have one the same. [Alas, we forgot to take a photo of the underside of the unit where the info is!] March is a great time to stay, especially if the weather is fine.. and there is less demand for onsite parking, too. Martin turns out a splendid Eggs Florentine.. and i was grateful Kyla suggested having it served on gluten-free crumpets, as i find muffins too 'cluggy'. Typically perfect suggestion.

The hosts were lovely, always on hand if needed,very entertaining - especially ' 'Sybil' 😄 - informative on surrounding areas, accommodation was as expected 👌 breakfast was amazing, lots of choice buffet and cooked excellent added bonus of lunch time snacks and afternoon tea, the swimming pool which was much needed during exceptional weather throughout our stay. Hope to return later in the year. We had a lovely 5 days.☺️

.Kyla and Martin were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.The room was spacious and such a comfortable bed.had a great sleep. The shower was excellent.The breakfast was absolutely amazing best breakfast we have ever had at a b and b and we have had a few swimming pool was clean and so inviting. And plenty of loungers. Ideal location as was 5 minutes drive from the hotel to the town and beach. We have already looked at returning as we have family in Torquay and it is a no brainer

This is not, criticism.But I think breakfast could be a bit later. This is only on a personal perspective as my wife gets up later than most as she is on medication.But I know it's because of the logistics. So this is not a complaint the breakfast is worth getting up early for

Immaculate throughout. The bed was sooo comfy. The swimming pool is an added bonus. Everything was clean and it felt very warm and welcoming as soon as we entered. Kyla and Martin were great hosts. Nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious. Please try the waffle. Great location. Close to the beach and in walking distance to the shops and harbour. Very quiet, no unwelcoming noises heard throughout our stay.

An exceptional break at the Devon Court. We had a lovely time and everything we needed was catered for. After our first breakfast, we downsized to a small portion but it was still substantial. Do not forget to pack your bathers; the pool is lovely and just the place to relax after a hot day out and about. Thank you for looking after us so well!

The attention to detail was exceptional, the hosts were on hand to answer any questions and meet any requests, the breakfast was the best I have had in a British hotel, all cooked to order, loads of choice (the waffle with clotted cream , honey and berries was devine! ) eggs cooked to perfection and drinks and toast replenished constantly with a smile Quaint heated pool with towels provided, games available to play in the beautifully decorated well stocked bar Parking available for each room Close to harbour

The breakfast was truly amazing with so much choice the owners are just wonderful people so welcoming and friendly nothing is too much trouble the room was superb everything you need with additional extras everything is spotless.The outside area was amazing with the added bonus of a great pool would highly recommend.

Martin & Kyla were amazing, really friendly, and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast excellent quality local ingredient and plenty of choice. Bed very comfortable and well decorated. Will definitely return. Pool an added bonus. Excellent location to Torquay town.

The only little thing that needs attention is the outdoor seating area. Furniture could do with a coat of varish or replacing and new cushions, but that's only me being picky.

My husband and I enjoyed 4 superb nights at Devon Court recently. Being full time carers we wanted a place where we could relax , enjoy some nice outdoor space and not have to use the car to get out and about in the evenings. Devon Court , run by Kyla, Martin and Sammy delivered all that and more. Luxurious accommodation throughout. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a delight… especially the fruit platter!… and so much to choose from , we wanted to try it all! It is in a great location, very quiet and only a 10 minute walk to the main promenade. The pool was fabulous, heated to 28 degrees, and a gorgeous place to soak up the sun and relax on the comfortable sun loungers. Towels are provided along with a bar service with drinks served to you around the pool. We have stayed in hundreds of B&B’s and this is by far the best one ever. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.
