Very clean, attractive room with most of the usual amenities; comfortable bed This is an older motel that has been redone very nicely. It is one block from a beautiful park overlooking the ocean with beach access. Great location Also close to the main beach. It was very quiet, no street noise or noise from other guests.
No mini refrigerator for our use-it was filled with items for us to buy. Room had items for sale in it such as bags, books, games etc. Seems a bit tacky to try to sell to you while you sleep. Extra fees for everything. Even the tea and coffee in the lobby was part of a "Resort Fee". Parking was another $35 surprise when we arrived. It seems like it would be a more positive experience for all to charge one total fee and then provide some "extra amenities" to make customers feel appreciated. I think the overall cost was too high but still competitive with the area. It would be very helpful to have a towel bar near the sink.

It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great location too.
I wouldn’t stay on the first floor again because it was VERY noisy because of wood floors and people walking in heels and moving furniture around.

-the location was great, right near the central town area of Laguna Beach. There’s also a cliff walk a block away. Amazing! -We loved that you got a free glass of wine and cookies at night. We loved coming back to the cookies. -Sweet little pool area. -the room was decorated with the beach theme and everything was white and really pretty. The room was also pretty spacious for a hotel room. -lots of restaurants and shops nearby and a wonderful beach.
-we didn’t like that we had to pay $45 a night for parking. It’s just a little motel and there is no valet. There’s no reason to pay $45 a night when you’re already paying a decent amount for a room. For that reason I wouldn’t stay there again. -the hotel is a little pricey, although I understand because the location is really great. -there were these little tiny ants, crawling inside the light switch in the bathroom. -The way the shower curtain was situated, it was easy for water to leak out of the shower.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We only stayed for one night on our honeymoon as part of a wider California trip but it was one of the best nights thanks to the amazing staff here. We were upgraded and able to check in 4 hours (!) early. Location for crescent bay and heisler park was perfect. Staff were so helpful and friendly, recommending brilliant taco restaurant Asada across the road. Pool and fire great vibe at night. The waffle white cotton bath robes, all-lemongrass-everything toiletries and moisturiser, cookies and wine hour - so many heavenly touches.
It was not explained to us that a $300+ holding amount would be taken on arrival followed by a “closing up” payment - it may be fair enough to assume most travelers in the States take this to be the case but it did shock me when the second transaction was charged to my account without any explanation. I will say the member of staff who handled my shock did so superbly and I felt completely reassured instantly. I can imagine parking being a squeeze but we didn’t travel with a car.

It’s our favorite Laguna Beach Hotel. We love the location we love the pool hot tub fire pit the rooms and views and the staff and lobby are so perfect we love the wine hour and the chocolate chip cookies at night
They have wood floors and I’ve always stayed on an upper floor This year we had a first floor room and I felt like whoever was above us walked nonstop while we were there. I was so confused. Walking all day, walking all night, sounds of furniture dragging We were in room 107. We thought maybe there was a maintenance room above us. Didn’t complain so we never found out.

We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Laguna Beach. The staff attention was outstanding. We had some problems with the WiFi in our room and the staff were helpful in finding a solution. They even have a happy hour with wine and cookies offered! The pool and jacuzzi facilities were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return!
The only issue we had was the wifi but it did begin working on our second night. Other than that, everything was great!

Gorgeous place overlooking Laguna Beach, with a lovely pool, jacuzzi and fire pit. The room was elegant and spotlessly clean. What really made the place were the people that ran it: so wonderful! They baked cookies and held wine tasting every day. They were friendly and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble; an utterly adorable place to which I’d go straight back!
Nothing.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The location is excellent. We love the fresh coffee every morning and cold water for the rest of the day in the lobby.
The noise from the swimming pool was so loud (kids were screaming and adults were also very loud) that we could hear it from our room, from the afternoon to late evening.

Lovely rooms, nice pool area although not big enough for serious swimming, nice hot tub, plenty of shops & restaurants nearby as well as lovely walks & the beach. Very friendly & helpful staff.
Limited food/drink facilities although they did provide tea/coffee first thing, wine at 5pm & cookies at 6pm

I liked that the hotel had a nice clean lobby and rooms. I also liked that the woman at the front desk was personable and answered any questions easily. I also liked that the parking lot of the hotel had nice sized parking spaces rather than spaces that were so slender that it would have made it difficult to get in and out of your car. I liked that the hotel was just a short walk to the main shopping area and that it was on the ocean side of the street making it easy to see some of the coast and ocean from the balcony. And having stayed on the 4th of July, I loved that we had a front row seat to the Laguna Beach fireworks display. It was awesome. Even other guests that were on the balcony or at the pool that evening enjoyed it immensely.
There was nothing that I found to not like on this first stay of mine.
