We chose the Grand Cloudcroft for its proximity to White Sands National Park, and were intrigued by the idea of staying high in the Sacramento Mountains. Although it was a 40 minute drive to the park, we believe it was a much better option than staying in Alamagordo, the nearest town to the park. The hotel was so clean it looked new, and had a very nice pool and hot tub, as well as a nice outdoor patio. They gave us rooms with a view, per our request, of the quaking aspen trees across the road. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and even went to the trouble of looking up a restaurant online for us, when we returned late (8 pm) and almost everything was closed.

Given the price of the rooms, we were disappointed with the hotel's grab and go breakfast, and learned that the hot breakfast was only offered on certain days. The selection of restaurants nearby was very limited, and under the circumstances, it would be nice if the hotel offered guests a list of nearby restaurants and their hours of operation upon arrival.

the place was an excellent mountain retreat and perfectly located in Cloudcroft. the rooms are very nice and beds comfortable.

not much. they are I think still growing the hotel so a few things like the breakfast Tues-Weds which is "grab and go" could be better. there was basically cereal and coffee and milk. the rest of the days are more continental. I think a toast option would even things out. a nice chair in the room in addition to the desk chair would have been good but the rooms were definitely comfortable regardless.

I really liked several things about the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. The location was perfect because I wanted to eat at brewery and pizza bar and it was located right across the highway. There is also a small park to walk your dog. There is a beautiful deck to sit on and have a fire. The breakfast was good. The hotel was very clean.

Parking lot was full. Luckily, we found a spot in the gravel nearby. No water bottles were provided in the room.

This is a wonderful hotel, had indoor and outdoor locations to sit and relax. Staff was very helpful. Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Walking distance to places to eat.

We expected a hot breakfast, however they only offer that on specific days of the week but we were not informed ahead of time. They did have coffee and limited cold offerings.

We have stayed here twice. This is a very nice hotel with everything we needed. Full breakfast is served Thurs-Mon and "grab and go" breakfast is served Tues-Weds. Full service breakfast had good options.

The options for the "grab and go" breakfast on Tues-Weds were pretty limited. I wish they would have had fresh fruit offered with breakfast.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Staff was amazing! We were only booked to stay 1 night and ended up staying 3 nights! They were very accommodating in letting us stay in our same room each additional booking. Very very clean! The only hotel I’ve ever seen with double king beds! Love this cute hotel and we will definitely be back!

Really beautiful location, friendly staff and very clean. Good food/dinner options very close, within walking distance.

Pool and hot tub closed for maintenance. The breakfast food was OK, no fruit though and the hot food was just OK. Also there was a bit of noise of adjacent rooms and room above us.

Bed, shower, pool, jacuzzi, breakfast, decks, gas firepits, and staff. George made great breakfast items.

Little noisy in rooms on first floor by the activity/pool section, namely ping pong table till 10pm. Kids running unattended down hall. But that's not the hotel's fault.

The breakfast time seems like a very short window being from 7 to 9 and it was a basic hot meal breakfast but the amenities were ok just waffle no maker??

I did not like that they have a pool and a jacuzzi in the hotel but neither of them was able to be used at the time of my visit, but you still pay full price? Also, the shower never got hot, at most it was luke warm so you couldn't enjoy a hot shower.
