Just spent a wonderful long weekend at The Phoenix Guest House and I can't say enough good things about my experience! Paul and David are exceptional hosts who truly go above and beyond to make your stay special. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room (I had an upgrade, lucky me) was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby! Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to ensure guests have everything they need. Breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning - all freshly prepared with quality ingredients and plenty of options to choose from.

One of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed in! Paul and David clearly take pride in their guest house and both lovely gentleman. My room was clean, quiet, warm and felt super cosy. This was my first solo trip and I felt very safe. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast facilities but it did smell delicious! Great location, only a 15 minute easy walk from the train station and there’s a local cafe, restaurant and shop nearby. I’m looking forward to being able to book here again. Thank you for having me!

The only niggle I can think of is that check in was not available when I initially wanted (after 7.30pm after travelling after work) though this was confirmed very quickly after I booked, leaving me plenty of time to cancel if I wanted to and I’m very glad I didn’t ☺️

Paul and David where perfect hosts, couldnt do enough for you. Really warm and friendly people. The Phoenix Guest house was lovely. Spacious rooms, always kept clean and tidy with everything you could need. Breakfast was made fresh each morning and was super tasty. Guest house is located either a short work away from attractions or a bus that would take you to attractions. My stay was everything I was looking for, comfy quiet and stress free. I'd definately stay at the Phoenix again if I go back to scarborough and with be telling everyone I know about this wonderfull place.

The room was scrupulously clean, the owners were very friendly and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The blueberry pancakes are to die for! They even took the trouble to call us by name, rather than "Mr & Mrs....." which was a nice, friendly touch, and made you feel that they value your visit.

Parking was a bit of an issue through the entire town and outside the guesthouse, but this is a problem with Scarborough Council as a whole, and NOT the Phoenix owners, as they can't control this. There were 5 or 6 places we wanted to visit, but couldn't as my mobility is limited and there is no parking either free or pay & display- it is entirely permit based, especially by the seafront.

David and Paul were really warm and welcoming. We found both hosts accommodating with good quality breakfast, perfectly poached eggs and delicious blueberry pancakes! Everything was clean. We enjoyed our conversations with Paul and David. The free parking was a pleasant surprise to us. The property was perfectly placed near to a local bar and an amazing fish and chips. Plus only a short walk to Peasholm park, and a lovely walk to the centre or the coast!

Our room was a tad on the small side, but this can’t be helped. We did hear the next door’s tv and conversation from the breakfast room.

The Hosts are just amazing David and Paul cannot do enough for you. They are the most loveliest people I have ever met. The rooms are so clean, I dont think I have ever seen a guest house with such clean high standards. the hosts are amazing, the breakfast was delicous. We had a lovely sleep. The parking you are given a zone disc and its just so easy. The litle touches as in the honesty box for the snacks out side the rooms is a great little touch. The stay was so lovely I bought them a thankyou card to give them before I checked out. Thanks guys we will be back.

There is literally nothing not to like.

Greatl location just a short distance from Peasholme Park and North Shore beach. David and Paul were really friendly and welcoming and did everything to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The guest house itself was immaculately kept ,with a spotless ensuite and fluffy towels.! (Gotta love a fluffy towel). Handwash and shower gel are provided plus hairdryer. The breakfast was spot on and there was plenty of choice with a full English, continental, cereal and fresh fruit.. We only had a 2 night stay but can say without hesitation WE'LL BE BACK. Thanks for having us guys. x

The only thing I didn't like was the fact we couldn't stay longer than our 2 nights booked.

Nice Hotel, Room was clean and tidy. En-suite was a little small and cramped but the shower was good. The bed mattress wasn’t to our liking but that’s always down to a personal opinion and not a critique of the Hotel. The guys running the hotel were absolutely lovely. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but it smelt nice as we passed the breakfast room. We ate in two nearby cafe’s one each morning and they were great value for money.

The hosts, Paul and David were fantastic. Nothing too much trouble for them, breakfast was delicious. We even asked about their butcher supplier and on the day we left went and bought sausages and other various meats. The premises are spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend the Phoenix Guest House to anybody. My wife and myself had a great weekend made even better by Paul and David.

Nothing to dislike.

Perfect stay. Paul and David went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. Lovely, comfortable room with a king bed, spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing with local good quality ingredients cooked to perfection by Paul. Once they knew how we liked our tea and coffee from the first morning, everything was remembered for the next morning, adding that personal touch. Next time we are in Scarborough we'll definitely be back.
