It’s a quintessential Swiss chalet amidst green meadows and a sleep little village not too far from the nearest train station - between interlaken and Grindelwald. So location, Swiss beauty, small restaurants - it’s a lovable area

The property is nice, breakfast is good, the staff was kind and helpful but the property is a sparsely done inside. It’s a beautiful looking chalet from the outside though. Nothing was terrible but it wasn’t wow from inside either

The location is fabulous. It's the best thing about this hotel. The mountain landscapes are beautiful. Bus station is pretty close to the hotel and the bus timetable is reliable. The buses take you to Interlaken city centre very fast. The village of Wilderswil is very beautiful and safe. The locals are also kind and some even say hello when you walk past them. The morning breakfast was better than most hotels. It was very convenient and complete. The personnel of the hotel is really professional and friendly. The receptionist who checked me in was very kind and informative about the best areas to visit. The cleaning staff always say hello with a smile and cleaned the room very well. Job well done. Thank you to everyone there. Perfect stay! 10/10.

Nothing negative to say, frankly. Maybe walking up the small hill (to reach the hotel) can be difficult for people who walk with heavy bags or luggage, but it should be okay for most people. The mountain is worth it! If you love hiking, you will love this location.

The hotel is situated on a hill, not many buildings around, so in the morning I could listen the birds singing, are Wes so quiet. As it's position on the slope, the view from the room and from the breakfast area was a big plus. Nice quiet village, with beautiful views, not too far from Interlaken, also I received a ticket valid for transport from the village to Interlaken, so save the hassle for the travel. The lady at the reception was really nice, as I arrived late, she look for me for the timetable for train and bus to Interlaken, also upgraded my room for a bigger, with a view. Well worth the money .

Hotel with one of the ultimate views of the Alps and great positioning for visiting so many sites in the region. Staff on reception and at breakfast are really helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is plentiful and sets you up for the day. We have stayed in the Berghof before and always felt welcome on our return.

Rooms and general decor does require a refresh, although everything is clean. Some minor maintenance required and i am sure the hotel would benefit on providing evening meals or a kitchenette facility.

The location is perfect, especially if you're traveling by car, as parking is easily available. When we arrived, the reception staff kindly allowed us to check the views from the available rooms before choosing one. This gesture was truly valuable to us, as it showed their respect for the guests and their commitment to providing the best possible stay. We chose a room on the second floor with views on two sides — it was both peaceful and beautiful. If you're looking for a hotel that combines calmness with natural beauty, I definitely recommend Hotel Berghof Amaranth

Very cozy, family and dog friendly hotel in a beautiful location above Interlaken, with gorgeous view of Jungfrau. Perfectly located to discover Berner Oberland gems: Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Wengen, etc. Very nice, helpful and easy going staff. Clean. Good breakfast. Great downstairs area to chill out. Decent bar.

It’s dog friendly, so there will be some dogs around. It’s very clean, but probably has not been redecorated since its inception in 1983, so interior may feel a bit dated. We didn’t mind at all: it’s typical in German speaking Alps. Oddly (place seemed full when we stayed) there was no evening dining option at all, but staff helped readily with reservations at local restaurants within walking distance.

Everything was absolutely perfect! Especially, The receptionist -young girl forgot her name, but she came from Portugal … at the check-in was very kind, smart, helpful and attentive to all the details. Thanks to her, ❤️🙏😻because of her there was a special love for this hotel. She was caring towards all the hotel guests. She told us everything on the map, which places are worth visiting, and at what time. Employees like her deserve special rewards. 🙏✔️📌It's a pity that we didn't have any cash. We would have been very happy to tip her for the incredible service and human attitude. I always ready to come back to this hotel, best in town with service.

We stayed in rooms 12B (corner) and 14, located on second floor. Rooms are old, but taken care of. We found them comfortable. Not fully sound proof, you sometimes hear steps from upper floor or next door but did not hear voices. Beautiful balcony facing mountains, and the corner also with look towards Interlaken. We loved the view from the balcony. Rooms with the basics, plus a kettle and a safe, and soap for washing and bathing. The breakfast room is really nice with beautiful views outside, and breakfast was also good with variety of things, and even scrambled eggs and bacon. The staff was incredibly nice. Forgot Spanish lady's name, but she was patient, gracious and great in explaining useful things to us. Currently their dining restaurant is closed, but they offered a good option for a nearby restaurant thhat was so good that we went back the following day. Probably one of the best resturants we have tried in Jungrau region at decent price. I was concerned of the hotel being far from everything, and really it is and it is not at the same time. There is a bus to interlaken every 30 minutes that passes about 300mts from the hotel, and then you are in Interlaken in a few minutes. You can also walk to the train station in 10-15 minutes and then the entire region opens up to you. And then, you wake up to a beautiful peaceful view as we did have. So we enjoyed the convenience but also remoteness that this hotel offered at the same time. Only thing is that the hotel is a bit on the hill, so last hundred or so meters you have to go up, and that needs to be considered. Overall, we were so pleasantly surprised by the hotel pricewise, it was really good value for money. Happy to go back.

Hotel is on the older side, and looking dated, but we expected that. So really not much to complain.

The breakfast is amazing, the location of the hotel as well as the staff were pretty good. The location was what made us booked the hotel. Just a little outside of Wilderswil - if you dont have a car you can walk towards the station that will bring you to major destinations like Grindelwald or Interlaken Ost.

The hotel is pretty much just a room, with no toiletries ie shampoo, toothbrush or toothpaste. No water bottle as well, I guess one can drink the tap water. The floor a bit crackity so can be a little load if you stomp the floor while walking

very friendly staff, breakfast can be takwn to the room for late risers, location is amidst of nature,

a hike of 600m to reach the hotel. it is suggested that if the hotel can provide, pick up from interlaken ost station it will be very helpful to those who travel alone
