Our stay at Fran & Frankie's B&B was one of the highlights of our five-week tour of the South Island. Perfectly what we had in mind: away from Wanaka, but still close. Peace, greenery and comfort, but above all warm, genuine hospitality. Our three days were a special treat, thanks to Fran and Frankie. Both in terms of the welcome, their breakfast, with the many home-grown ingredients from their beautifully landscaped and maintained garden. Also their tips for restaurants and walking tours, whether locally or around Lake Wanaka or Lake Hawea, were perfectly formulated and invaluable. Both sense the guests perfectly. Being able to demonstrate all this in a cordial, yet discreet and stylish style, pure class.

Just for enough out of the busy tourist centers for our preferences… peace, and quiet and a lovely garden that they tend themselves. Much of the food on our breakfast table was from the garden.

Fran and Frankie were outstanding! They were so helpful and asked our interests and gave us the best advice by providing a map and showing us options on our interests. As for breakfast? You are in for a treat. Failed to disappoint

The breakfast was great, especially the fruit from their own garden. We had good conversation with both Fran and Frankie interesting and informative. Bed and shower were both really nice. All facilities great.

A large modern room with large windows looking out onto a beautifully kept garden. Fran and Frankie are rightly proud of what they offer, with good reason.

The property was spacious, clean and purpose built for guests. We liked the privacy and we loved the beautiful garden views!

The bed was really comfortable. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had a clean, hotel feel to it. The breakfast included homegrown berries. The hosts were very friendly.

Every so often one has an experience that lifts your spirits and is good in many ways , staying here was one of those..from the welcome, to the spacious, comfortable, private and well apportioned room, scrumptious breakfast with fresh berries from the gardens, to the delightful hosts Fran and Frankie, whose genuine love for what they do and their open and warm welcome, made this a most memorable stay...one cannot recommend this B&B enough.

Fran and Frankie were wonderful hosts. They have created and maintained a beautiful space that is beautiful and peaceful. Will definitely stay again.
