Modern, clean room with all required utilities such as water bottles, toiletries, towels, pool. Clean bedding. Friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere. Photos posted are of the second room we stayed in, in the newer building.

There are 2 buildings to this hotel, one older than the other. We were placed in the older building first and on the first night there were VERY loud roadworks outside which kept us awake until 2am. The older building is a short walk from reception and we felt a little isolated there. We asked to move rooms because of the roadworks which the staff kindly sorted for us. We ended up in a room in the newer building which was great. We were disturbed a few nights with people closing doors and talking late at night so sound proofing could have been better. We also found cockroaches in the room on our last night.

The hotel has two buildings, one with the reception and one like a minute walk around the corner. We stayed in the second building. Overall the hotel is in a great location, close to all the main areas in the historical center. The room was good, comfortable bed, a little small though. It was clean and the house keeping was great too. The small balcony was useful for drying clothes. The wifi was useable. The staff was friendly and helpful. For the price it was a good choice.

The pool in "our" building wasnt very inviting, it was kinda dark plus there were some stuff which looked like it belong to some local family or something. I dont know if they live there or what the deal is, but it doesnt look professional in a hotel. The pool looked clean though. In the main building the pool area looked a little better (larger and more sunnier). The AC was directly above a bed which isnt very pleasant, plus it wasnt very efficient. There is some noice from the outside (especially loud motorbikes), but thankfully it wasnt very irritating.

I've stayed here multiple times over the past four years. The location is absolutely perfect, and the hotel is well run and comfortable.

It was noisier than I remembered. There were two main sources of noise -- people being loud in the hallway or pool areas -- this was mostly an issue after the bars close, and isn't very prolonged most nights. What is new is the outdoor Muay Thai school just across Ratchapakhinai Rd. from the hotel. Apparently the key to the sport is to be as loud as possible, so anywhere in or near the hotel you can hear hours of an aural sequence consisting of a SHOUT, then a THUD as a punch or kick lands on target, then the loudest GRUNT you've ever heard. The sequence repeats about twice a minute.

Daily cleaning was brilliant from the staff with water topped up daily. Size of the room was great. Lovely location. Nice cat that roams around

There were two separate buildings, one for rooms with balconies, one without. Both had a pool. The pool in the balcony building got more and more filthy throughout the week to the point it looked like a health hazard. When I was in it earlier on in the week, powder came up from the bottom of the pool as I moved. It then just got more and more green, and leaves and debris were there. No cleaning was done in 7 days which I don't understand as the pool in the other building was spotless and clean, which we did end up using but had to run around the main street in our swimming wear to get to it

Stayed at the Lanna Tree for 4 nights, great location in Chiang Mai. Very easy to walk around town, lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and very close to the famed Sunday night market. Rooms were large and clean with everything supplied you would need. 6 outta 6 of the members of our family would recommend staying at the Lanna Tree!

One of our rooms overlooked the main road and was a little noisy, but the girls using that room sleep with a sound machine (I know, kids these days, right?) and said it wasn't a huge issue.

This is a really nice hotel. I liked the layout of my room, the lighting, the pool and everything else about it a lot. The room was really comfortable and had everything I needed. The location is great, on a quiet street but really close to the lively part of the old city. You're close to lots of great cafes, restaurants, markets and massage spas. The staff were very nice. I appreciated the water bottles and daily cleaning. The building is also very secure and you have to swipe through to enter (not that security is generally a concern in Thailand, but nonetheless it's never a bad thing!)

There's very little to dislike. Having to pay a cash deposit on arrival was a little annoying and it was lucky I had cash on me, but that's the only thing I can think of and it wasn't really a problem. You get the deposit back upon checkout.

The hotel is clean and well equipped for all your needs - the pool is cool and refreshing and staff helpful. There is Lanna Square a short distance away which is a nightly food market with entertainment, it’s a very chill and relaxing place to hang out after a long day exploring the city and its surrounds. There is also a little alleyway behind the market with little stalls and street art. There is also some great street food vendors, restaurants & 7eleven stores close by to grab all your essentials.

The pool was slightly green but staff had added chlorine to help, it was very strong smelling and uncomfortable in our eyes when swimming.

The location was excellent, the pool lovely. The street has a charm of its own, there are Friday night markets in the first side street, and an outside eating market also in that street. There is a laundry service across the road (30 bht a kilo) and laundromat around corner. Lots of eating place close by and we were able to walk to all the attractions, about 15 minutes to the river, everything else closer. The hotel was in the zone for free pickups for booked tours. Great shower! Definitely good value for money.

We had asked for a double bed but were given two large singles - which we pushed together - but it made the already small room a bit cramped. Having said that we stayed for a week and felt comfortable. And would stay there again.

This hotel is right in the middle of the action where we wanted to be but just off the main road so quiet at night. The room was small, but very nice. Beds were comfortable, lots of storage, air conditioning worked great. Bathroom and shower were also very nice. The pool area is in the courtyard and a nice place to hang out on the loungers or the couches. Staff were helpful and attentive. Short 3 minute walk to Lanna Square and the main street for nightlife.
