My daughter had an incredible time with everything the resort has to offer — from the kids’ activities and water park to mini golf, jumping pillows, and go-karts. The team went above and beyond to make her birthday special, ensuring we had everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves throughout our stay. The BIG4 really understands what it’s like to travel with young children. We were so impressed by the thoughtful touches, including complimentary use of a cot and stroller — a huge help for parents! We’ve already decided to make this an annual family tradition. We absolutely loved our stay and created memories we’ll treasure forever. The convenience of a bus arriving every 30 minutes made trips into town quick and easy, and the staff were consistently warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for families!

We had a fantastic stay at BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort and would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the entire team. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were welcoming, helpful, and professional, making check-in smooth and pleasant. The Christmas in July event was beautifully organised – a big thank you to everyone involved in creating such a magical experience for all guests! A special thank you goes to Jana, the cleaner who prepared our room. Everything was spotless, and we truly appreciated the care taken to ensure our accommodation was perfectly clean and comfortable. Kids loved the waterslides and pool, facilities were good , had everything we needed. Fast food close by, good location. Staff friendly and loved the upgrade of room on our last night of stay.

Admin closes early so no ability to get change for washer, no auto money changer for $1 coins needed for washer, would be good to offer coin change machine or offer to swap money at check in so prepared. Ant problem in cabin , were ants in daughters bunk bed with no spray in cabin. Bathrooms in studio cabins need an upgrade. Would be good to have on-site cafe (permanent) rather than temporary mobile cafe that has random days/hours of being open for food.

The kids facilities are amazing! Our 4YO and 1YO had an absolute blast. Not only was the water slides and water area a hit, they loved the animal park and the equipment you can hire, including the go karts. The bouncing pillow was quite new and in great condition and the playground was huge. There are activities every day and night, even though we went not in the school holidays. They have food trucks on site, every night and ice cream/dessert trucks too.

Not specifically the property, but beware there are a lot of midges, so bring repellent.

I absolutely loved everything about our stay but the most thing that I really loved was the Riley’s room for kids with additional needs. I am a mum to a child who has autism and believe me I was in awe of this , I was taken back when we were given the key to this room and upon entering we immediately felt heard and that my son was accepted. He absolutely loved it and we had the most amazing time being able to use the facilities. The bed was also so comfy and I had the best sleep ever!! The staff were also very amazing and accomodating

Where to start and what to write. Brilliantly designed for a family stay. Everything that you want for stay was in the unit. AC, Main Bed and Bunks for Kids. Iron/ board + Cutlery/ Utensils + Electric Cooktop. But leave all of this aside and the overall experience of living in the resort is simply out of the world. I stayed in resort when there was rain all day ( 120mm Day1, 132mm Day2 and it was flooded everywhere even Bruce highway was closed) and was not able to do alot of activities outside but the activities in resort made it worthwhile paying for it.

Mattrice for main bed could be better. One literally sinks in the bed once lying down.

I first came to the park in Dec ‘96, all the way from NZ. I have seen many wonderful improvements in my time. Nowa-days, it close to my home town. It’s spacious, well planned out. Our cabin, #66, was extraordinary. It has an animal farm with a gorgeous turkey for the kids to feed. The pool is amazing and the adventure water park is so cool. My grand daughter had so much fun. Airlie is just up the road with easy access with public transport and the islands .

I’m unable to buy a cabin and live there long term. 🤭

Pancakes by the pool were our most favourite part of our stay, we just wish they had them on more than once a week. Pools were wonderful, we loved that the splash bucket was located at the end on the pool end away from everything else, as our daughter is terrified of splash buckets. The park and jumping pillows were a lot of fun, so much to do, We didn’t have to leave. Loved the different food vans and the coffee van lady was lovely. We stayed in a small cabin, perfect for just our little family, next time we would book with a 2nd room not just a curtain dividing the rooms.

The beds, more the pillows were extremely uncomfortable, we both woke up each morning with sore necks and didn’t sleep the best, but that was the only thing we could fault. We loved our stay.

Accommodation was clean and had everything we needed, except for a mop. Floors can get dirty very quickly especially when you have children there.

Pizza from on-site van was awful. Need a few more activities for the under 4's. The little kids part of the pool was freezing, much colder than the rest. Waiting at reception to pay for an icecream that I'd nearly melted by the time you get served is not good. Has to be a better way to be able to purchase things like that as the checking in process seems to take quite a long time. Need a mop in the cabin

I want to mention STEPHANIE and ASH, from reception, never have I met such people orientated, caring staff who go above and beyond! Customer service can make or break your business, to me it's the most important thing! You can have wonderful facilities, but means nothing without the experience of amazing staff at the centre of it all, or you wouldn't return. All other staff were lovely I came across too.
