We loved staying here, Angela at the front desk was very helpful, polite, and answered all our questions. It's down the road from the 3 sisters, next door to Katoomba RSL and Katoomba shops are nearby. The cleaners are very happy and greet you every morning. Everyone here is happy. We checked out recently after a 2 night stay. The breakfast was great, 10 different types of cereal, coffee/tea, fruits, yoghurts, allsorts of bread for toast, including crumpets and muffins. We will be coming back for sure.

Nothing really, we were happy.

The room was good sized and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and had good space for two people and the little trolley was a great storage space for us to put our toiletries, etc. The AC was easy to program and use. The fridge was good as we could store some of the things that we had bought in there as we travelled around during the day. Breakfast was pleasant and it was nice to start the day off with something hot and filling.

We had unclean glasses in the fridge, but we used the clean mugs as cups and things when we needed them. We could hear people in the rooms on the next floor down but it wasn't too loud and we could tune them out easily. The parking lot could be bigger (but we know you can't expand it and we were able to find parking along the street).

The hotel's location is fantastic, with easy access to the Three Sisters lookout and other local attractions. The charm of the historic building added a unique and cozy feel to the stay, and the beds were very comfortable, making for a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary continental breakfast was a nice touch to start the day. Parking was easy and hassle-free during our stay.

Some areas of the hotel could use a bit of an update, as they feel a little dated. While the breakfast was nice, the selection could be expanded for a bit more variety.

We had the new family room, room 88. It was quite cold in there and would be perfect during summer, however in winter it needs heating. Perhaps install air-conditioning? Also needs more hanging space so tyour guests don't have to live out of suitcases. And, not a real issue, but it didn't have a sink so we could wash our coffee cups. We had to do that in the bathroom. Otherwise the room was just great!

Breakfast was very good only the time it starts would be more convenient at 7.45 am. Our room was comfortable. Would have liked a second chair to sit on. The hot water was excellent! The bed was comfortable & plenty of rugs & dunas for the colder nights. Very convenient location near the RSL Club for meals.

The room was a little bit pokey. It was recommended not to use the air conditioner for cooling because it drips. The fan we were given was great for the hot night.

My husband and I liked everything about the accommodation. We were there in August, 2022. The young man on reception was excellent - he also doubled up in the bar. Nothing was a bother for him. The breakfast room and breakfast were excellent. All the staples were available eg cereal (6 choices), yogurt, tea, coffee, toast (3 choices of bread), bacon, scrambled eggs. (Note: the breakfast is included in the tariff). The young girls who were replenishing the food were also excellent. We had a ground floor room which was close to the "red" door which led directly onto the car park, which was incredibly convenient for getting luggage in and out. Our room had a walk-in shower with taps which were clearly marked "hot" and "cold". The location was fantastic - close to the shops and restaurants. The modern RSL is just across the road. (wise to book) We loved the feel of the hotel - in its day, it would have been amazing, but you can still appreciate the original features even today. We had traveled from the Novetel in Darling Harbour (which we liked), but we also liked the coziness and laid-back feel of Hotel Blue. We'll be back!

The Rooms at Hotel Blue were spacious, warm and comfortable. the bathroom was clean, and the water hot. Continental Breakfast is offered with accommodation, comprising of cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. This is more than adequate. The common rooms are furnished in an older style, but are very comfortable and welcoming. There are some games to play if the weather is too wet to encourage outside activities. This is a nice hotel to stay at. There is also parking available and if you are a good walker there are lots of things to see within walking distance.

I don't think I can find anything to fault. It is an older style Hotel and what you would expect of this type of accommodation.

The interiors of the property are lovely with antique furniture and beautiful lead light windows. It was a quiet location and there was off street parking which gave easy access thru a back door. Our room was a very large family room with a modern shower room (with adjacent separate toilet and hand basin) The large bed was really comfortable. It had a huge tv for a bit of Olympic viewing. There was a basic continental breakfast served in the morning but we were keen for a cafe so didn’t eat there but it was served in a nice dining area and the staff were lovely. I’d definitely stay there again.

Comfy bed, good AC and close to the blue mountain walks etc. Fire alarm works. Most of the staff were super helpful. The shower was clean and liked having shampoo, conditioner and body wash in easy access pumps on the wall. Large common area/sitting/dinning space.

It’s a bit tattered and water pressure in the shower was low. Took a while to rinse shampoo out. NOTE: This town rolls up early get your dinner by 7-ish. Tried to get dinner at 8pm on Thursday and barely got take away food.

It’s interesting. Lovely lounge room and breakfast room with leadlight windows and decorated plaster and cornices The rooms and bedding were clean. The showers hot The Continental Breakfast was good. They had Gluten Free bread and cereals too. Plenty of breads, muffins etc to choose from. There was a choice of milks including Soy, Oat and Almond .

The corridors and stairs needed a vacuum there was white plaster or paint pieces around. It’s needing a bit of an upgrade to carpets and painting. I don’t think the bar was opened at all
