Location was ideal as, just a short walk from the Grindelwald Station and across from the bus station.The hotel serves an excellent breakfast with fresh produce and a choice of continental or hot cooked options.Our room was deluxe with magnificent balcony view across to the Eiger and round to Maanlichen. The hotel is right next door to an excellent ski rental and sales shop and a short walk from other hotels and cafes where lunches and evening meals can be purchased.

Our room was decorated in traditional alpine wood style with excellent facilities however ,the small occasional table and two chairs were a little ‘tired’ and are perhaps due for updating.

I love the location

Not been informed about the bathroom not a waterproof And felt bad about wetting the floor. In future hope you able to advise customers in advance.

Great location right next to the train station. They has the most amazing view of the mountains right in front of the hotel. Great food for breakfast, included. Right next to the bus parking lot to hop on to get around the town and they have a "guest pass" that includes free transportation via buses as well as discounts on various activities around town. Staff was very helpful with recommendations and helping us figure out of transportation on our date of departure to get to the next country we were to visit.

The rooms and bathrooms are small and the bed was not the most comfortable, but we did not spend much time in our rooms, so it was just a place we needed to sleep and freshen up.

The location was perfect as the train station is just 1 minute away and bus station is just across the street. Many shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarket are just steps away. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Very nice balcony at bedroom and breakfast room facing the mountains. Limited but nice selections of breakfast items. 24 hours free coffee/tea at the lounge.

The old fashion room key was not only bulky but also did not auto lock, and the people across from my room left their keys outside their door twice while I was there. The bathroom is very small. I don't understand the weird mini refrigerator in the room. The size is the same like other hotel's mini fridge but the storage space inside is only 10% of other fridge. The room has no AC (very hot summer day/night) but no problem when I opened the windows and no noise at all. I'm glad a portable fan was also provided. The room price is consider on the expensive side.

Hotel Bernerhof is perfectly placed centrally in Grindelwald near to both the station and buses. There is also reasonably priced onsite hotel parking if you arrive by car. Our room, with completely private balcony, overlooked the mountains and was very quiet. It was much larger than anticipated with a good sized (family) bathroom. All the in-room/bathroom amenities you could wish for were provided by the hotel. This hotel was exceptionally clean. Lift straight from the entrance to all floors was very useful. The choice of breakfast items on offer was vast (hot & cold) and the room itself was light and bright with amazing views across the private terrace to the mountains. Staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. Having stayed at other hotels previously in Grindelwald, this hotel is now our favourite choice. Also - free self-serve coffee in the residents lounge was a lovely surprise!

Perfect just as it is.

Such a cute place with beautiful views from the balconies. The staff was super friendly and helpful and even helped us plan our time in Grindlewald to get the most out of it. It’s in a very central location and so easy to get everywhere from there. Breakfast was delicious and everything was so cute, cozy, and welcoming! :)

The room was quite smaller than expected, and very hard to cool down. There was a fan at least which was nice as AC does not seem to be common in Switzerland. I know there’s not much they can do about size of room, but it was just hard to lay out suitcase/ literally had to climb over it to get into bed. They had a closet, but for only staying a few nights it wasn’t worth it to unpack completely.

This hotel is in a great location. It is right in the heart of Grindelwald. The best part was we had a room with a view and it was a super view of the Eiger from the balcony. I could sit out there all day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking was convenient. The rooms were Swiss clean and there was a great free tea bar. It was nice to have a tea on the balcony watching the sunset.

It is Switzerland and so it is expensive. I was there is late October so it was very peaceful. Grindelwald can be overwhelming with tourist in high season.

The view from the room is excellent, the location of the hotel is very convenient as it is so close the train station and the bus stops and the departmental store. The breakfast was good with wide variety of food. The egg dish could be better. Room is the negative point as it is very very small, the tiniest I had seen in my life. There was absolutely no space for opening a suitcase and I had two!!. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The coffee being available during the day was an additional -lus point. The breakfast room is very neat and tidy with great views of the mountains.

The room size

The hotel is immaculate. The location perfect for skiers and snowboarders. Most of all the staff! Wow. Ive stayed in amazing hotels throughout the world. But the staff here could not do enough and were sensational. Absolutely amazing I can't say enough positive things. Everyone who was with me keeps commenting about it and even some visitors we had who were staying elsewhere said how amazing they were. Thankyou so much!

The one and only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the beds in the room. They were extremely comfortable but no double bed. And my wife and I had two single beds but they kept slipping apart. The staff did try their hardest to help but it didn't work. Just needs a double bed option or some way of putting them together better.

They upgraded us from a triple to a family room so we had more space. Staff was exceptional very friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast room and nice selection. Location was perfect!!!! Rental place attached and buses or trains right across the street. Tea and coffee available no charge in the lounge.

Pillows could use a refresh and toilet room with shower was a bit tiny, but i was very happy to have a bathtub. Sink was in the main room. Breakfast room closes at 10am which is a shame as its a lovely place to sit wirh bigger windows and sunshine!
