Location
Price. The rooms are old well maintained but it feels too expensive when they have not invested in the property in decades

The room was large and comfortable attique style with several ceiling windows looking out to lovely views of Santiago. We enjoyed our stay here. While not inside the walls of the pedestrian city, the hotel is just across the street and very close. Location was excellent, walking distance and very near the Cathedrale de Santiago de Compostelle. The inner garden for breakfast and taking a rest is a haven of green and freshness which we liked alot. Appreciate that the hotel was able to arrange parking for our car.
As we were on the attique floor, the elevators could only bring us so far, and had to walk one flight of stairs to room. But fortunately we did not have too much luggage, this was fine.

Room was large and comfortable and clean. The main building and bar area were very nice. Breakfast was good. There is a lovely garden area which the bar and breakfast area open into. A nice spot to sit outside for a drink. The staff were exceptional with excellent restaurant recommendations, they knew which ones were open on what days, which was great. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday so some were closed. There was paid parking conveniently a few meters behind the hotel. Location is great, cross the street and climb a few steps and you are at the old market. From there only a few minutes walk to all of the main sites such as the cathedral and old town. Would definitely stay there again.

Such a charming hotel- despite being in the heart of the city, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time and are out in the country. There are birds in the garden, hearty soup served in the bar area and incredibly kind reception staff (that provided us an escort to our room as the layout of the property can be a little tricky on first glance). The bed was by far one of the most comfortable during our stay. The lovely covered balcony outside our room with ample seating was a special touch. Nearby public parking was ample and affordable (by US standards- I think it was 8 EUR/24 hours!
The window to our room faced a pathway to public parking and was across from a school. It made for a lot of noise inside our room. This isn’t really a complaint- as we could easily find areas of solitude elsewhere within the property. Parking was tricky to locate and required a trek up a steep hill. Again- not a complaint as the entire town is built within hillside. A strong fragranced cleaner is used- so if you are sensitive to smells- this might be a concern.

I really did like this fantastic hotel right at the old city wall, staff were great, food was great, garden with its bird aviary is a lovely place to relax.. Safe off street parking is shared with a sister hotel to the rear , access via side lane to hotel.
Not much not to like really, just one pet hate of mine is cutlery noise, one of the restaurant cleaning staff insisted on launching all the used cups & plates into plastic containers so they could be removed for cleaning, another staff member doing the exact same job was much more delicate and very quiet. This really intruded on the enjoyment of breakfast making conversations difficult.

We arrived very tired from walking all day and close to midnight due to unfortunate circumstances and were so happy for the 24 hour staffed reception, where we were greeted by such a friendly and helpful receptionist who really saved the day for us. The building and room were beautifully appointed and clean. Bed was very comfortable. There were many lovely communal places to sit and the back yard was like an oasis in the city with a fountain and small aviary. The breakfast buffet had so many food options, all delicious. Location was very close to the old town and the train station.

The room was very comfortable with a lot of lovely touches to make the stay more comfortable like free toiletries and tea & coffee making facilities. The room was spotlessly clean and the little terrace outside the room with a table and chairs was a real bonus. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a beautiful little library and places where you can sit in comfort, as well as a bar and a breakfast room The breakfast was very good and plentiful.
Nothing.

I loved everything about this hotel from the moment we arrived (after midnight due to a delayed flight) to find the exquisite door locked as the person on reception had nipped away (loo?) The ambiance is wonderful. The woodwork exceptional. The decor charming. The location perfect for old town and the newer city. Staff were mostly fantastic ( don't think one of the breakfast chaps liked me but can't blame him). The food was fresh. Not sure vegetarians are catered for as eggs on hot tray with bacon for breakfast and evening snack facility included 'vegetable' sandwiches (as labelled) but they contained tuna, 'vegetable salad' also with tuna and to cap it off 'vegetable soup' with chorizo! I'm not outraged, just extremely amused and slightly less overweight. The wine is great! Beds were comfortable enough (why no duvet covers???). The room was unique and beautiful and completely to my taste. The bathroom had a bath (not full sized but still welcome) with a powerful shower over. The fan in the bathroom didn't work (should I care?) The tea tray was adequate. The cleaning service was amazing. The view was unique and exceptional. Social rooms were characterful and peaceful. Did I mention the exquisite woodwork!!! The vibe / atmosphere was safe, kind and welcoming.
This hotel is not perfect, but it was perfect for me. Thank you.

The garden space with the bird cage, fountain, and views of Seminario Menor is very relaxing. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The proximity to the bus stop for the airport bus couldn't be better. Proximity to the City Centre is excellent too. We appreciated having coffee and tea making facilities in the bedroom.
The cafe bar was not available in the afternoon which is the time we most needed it as this is the time we returned to the Hotel to escape the afternoon heat. The bar closing time of 11pm was a bit early, maybe 12pm would give us a bit more time to relax with a drink.

Beautiful, old hotel, wonderfully restored - Great location, just a short walk (5-8min) from the cathedral; but far enough away to lose the crowds. Immaculate, manicured grounds, large buffet breakfast. Helpful, courteous and supportive staff; they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I would stay here again!
Limited food options other that breakfast; sometime we were too tired to out out to eat or battle the crowds; it would have bee lovely to have more food options in the hotel.
