Staying at Hospedería San Martín Pinario is like stepping into history while enjoying the comfort of a top-class hotel. The breakfast has room to improve.

The building is lovely and in a great location. Even though the building is old and historic, the facilities are very modern, including an elevator! The breakfast was not exceptional, except for the fact that it takes place in a lovely, 16th-cent vaulted space. The lunch we had there was wonderful, in yet another lovely vaulted room. The lunch was a bargain, too. The staff is gracious and helpful. It was very quiet and comfortable.

It was chilly when we were there in January. They turned off the radiators during the day, and it was cold in the room! They turned them on at about 5:30pm. Once they were on, it was comfortable.

It’s just amazing. The location and the atmosphere inside is incredible and it was so beautiful to finish my Camino here. My room was simple but that’s just what I wanted. Humble and understated accommodation right next to the cathedral. Also, you can get a meal at the hotel for €15 which includes a starter, main and pud. Plus water, bread and wine. It’s not Michelin star but it’s cheap and the restaurant is lovely.

I had a bit of a fight with the pillow. I had one, long pillow which was super hard.

Excellent location in the old town, right across from the Cathedral, and in a unique setting. Room and ensuite were modest, clean and functional. Bed was comfortable. Free wifi was good. Staff were warm and attentive, and helped me change rooms due to noisy neighbours. Breakfast was fine with all the standard fare. No stress with 12pm checkout, and very helpful to be able to store luggage at reception until departure from town. Good value for money.

Minimal soundproofing - just a risk you take in an old building.

Both to walk around; to enjoy sitting in the inner garden near the spring water and listen the watter sounds! Staying un the room, sleep at night in the room, using comfortable bath0room! Breakrasts were var tasty! And I dont need a big veriaty of food! What was there was really enogh for me!!!

Diffical to say! I have enjoyed the beauty of the desighn as old and mordern creations!

Loved the location. Right next to the cathedral. Easy to find after finishing the camino. In the center of the historic area of town, lots of restaurants and bars to walk to. Room is on the smaller side, but perfect for myself. Bed was very comfortable, perfect to unwind in after finishing the camino. Less than 5 min walk to pilgrims office. The building itself was beautiful and felt like I was stepping back in time. It was also very quiet.

A bit on the warmer side (opening the window at night helped), not sure how it would be in the middle of summer time.

A really nice place to stay, staff were lovely, the whole place was very clean throughout. Breakfast was a buffet and was very good value, as was the evening meal, I would stay here again absolutely. The location is literally across the road from the cathedral and within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. No televisions anywhere which was really nice.

No additional blamket available in the room so I doubled the quilt over me which I could do as I was on my own in the room. A small thing really.

Excellent location … Spotless clean.Great service. Place also have a large gift shop when you can buy most wonderful gifts.

Breakfast can be more elaborate… But still satisfying, Large most beautiful dinning room offer fix menu for lunch and dinner ….but meals was not the best. BUT the service in dinning room was bery good and pleasant…made up for not so good dishes.

Such a fantastic hotel in the very heart of Santiago! The staff are very friendly, the place is clean and comfortable and the location is unmatched! I highly recommend it to anyone, especially those just finishing their Camino - to stay very centrally and enjoy everything that Santiago has to offer!

I didn't realize I would have 2 single beds in my room. I would have preferred 1 larger/queen bed instead, but it's not critical. Having slept on bunk beds in albergues all week, this was a clear upgrade :)

Fantastic experience staying in a historical building like this. We walked the Camino and the location could not be better. Room had a perfect view of the side of the cathedral, as well as a view over the roofs to the boundary of the town, and the spectacular sunset.

For the price, and what it offers, we only have good things to say.
