The room was clean. There was an issue with the bathroom door getting stuck but management handled it with great customer service. Overall customer service was great! Very scenic being close to the waterfront and very historic too. There is some construction going on to build up the overall area but I would not let it discourage you from booking with Origin Kanas City. We plan to book with them again when we visit KC in the near future. (We stay the weekend or May 17th 2025)

The restaurant (The Show Pony) the booth seats were not clean when we came down for breakfast and we were the only two ppl (me and my wife) there at the time. In the evening, we had drinks at the bar and that experience was much better.

This was my fourth stay at this hotel and each time has only gotten better! The location of this hotel is close to the highway and yet, very quiet and relaxing. It is just a short drive to get anywhere in downtown KC, too. The rooms are clean and the beds are SO comfortable! Each room I've been in has had a great view of the city, too. I love the spacious bathrooms and the great lighting offered. The rooms also have Nespresso machines! The restaurant and bar have great food and great drinks so we were able to have a fun time just staying on property. Now, the thing that has truly made this hotel shine is their STAFF!! I have yet to meet someone working there that doesn't greet you with an instant smile and kindness. The staff have remembered me upon my return visits and that is something special. JJ, in particular, is one of the most friendly and lively people I have encountered. For this specific trip, we were in KC for my birthday and had originally booked an AirBnb for the night. Upon arriving to the location, we quickly realized that the property was nothing like the pictures and we made the choice to cancel our reservation. With it being later in the day, we were concerned about finding a new place to stay but decided to give Origin a call as I had just stayed here a couple of days prior. JJ answered the phone and you could just hear the smile in his voice. I asked him if it would be possible for us to get two rooms and ones that were close to each other so my friends and I weren't far apart. Although the hotel was very full for the evening, JJ was able to work out the perfect rooms for us! We headed to the hotel and when we arrived, JJ and the girl working the front desk with him (I believe her initials are JD) both remembered me from previous trips and greeted me and my friends with so much happiness. Also, once they heard it was my birthday, JJ insisted on making sure we had the best time and that we did!!

Absolutely nothing! Everything was perfect!

This was my second time staying at this property and I loved it just as much as the first time! The staff are so extremely friendly and the property is just beautiful. I absolutely love the location, too. It is just on the outskirts of busy KC but was such quick access to everywhere we needed to go. The rooms are the perfect size and the bed is so, so comfy. Parking was close and simple. We visited Show Pony on this visit twice just because we enjoyed it so much. Great cocktails, great food, and excellent service. We will definitely be staying again!

The staff was great and the cleanliness was up to snub

The hotel is new so they are still l working out some flaws. The rooms for a king were overbooked so we got downgraded to a queen. The staff did try to smooth the situation by extending our checkout by an hour, but we had already needed to leave before that extension. The hotel itself is fine, nothing super fancy about it, the location eventually will be ideal, but for now it is so so. The price point to me was a little expensive for the area since you would have to have a short drive anywhere and can't really walk.

Riverwalk was wonderful for a sunset walk, the staff was amazing. The beds were super comfortable.

Had trouble parking when we came back from town, had to drive around 5 minutes until someone left. People using hotel parking lot for the bar across the street. However the manager at the front desk told me if I had that problem again to come to the desk and she would find me a spot. I'm guessing the construction going on has affected the bar parking.

The location was marvelous. the view of the river was sensational. Great location for walking by the river and even better location to the downtown spots. Everything we visited was under a 20 minute car ride away.

The only thing that I wish was complete was the riverside cafes and other construction sites. I'm sure once the construction is complete the Origins will be the spot to be !

The property is fairly new, and quite whimsical with carousel horses out front, a nice billiards table, board games and lounge area off the main lobby. The staff was fantastic, the room was excellent, the restaurant was very, very good with an eclectic menu, comfy atmosphere and a great bar. Plenty of parking on site with easy access to the lobby and elevators from there.

Not one negative item.

The room was nice with a modern feel and nice soft lighting. Location was not too far from downtown. Facilities all worked, and had a nice trail nearby. Got the job done and then some more.

If you don’t have a car it might be a little hard to get downtown given that the light rail/train is still under construction.

Very modern and large room, with nice architectural details. Nice hotel restaurant. Easy parking. Good value.

The location is very remote. KC is small so it was only a 10 minute drive into downtown - but the hotel itself is on the outskirts of the city. The restaurant hours are limited, and no nearby places to eat.

Easy check in.... close to alot of things... the staff was excellent about places to go locally to eat and very informative... the staff should really be in a busier town they are super talented..... no cameras in the back lot for security...... weird for a new hotel
