It was exceptionally clean. The staff was above and beyond kind and accomodating. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are modern and stunning . The beds are pretty comfortable. We’ve stayed twice … the beds were more comfortable in this room this time. The bathroom was above and beyond beautiful and clean. Great shower. The coffee shop is exceptional! And the air conditioner was nice and cold.

Trying to get to the valet is crazy tight. There were big busses parked across the street which made getting to the front of the hotel almost impossible…. But once you win your spot, they are quick to take the car. I do not like how loud the sheets/bedding is. When you roll over or sit on the bed it sounds like a diaper. The window coverings did not fully cover the windows so it was pretty light in the room all night.

Gorgeous historic hotel to explore. Unbelievably beautiful. Staff were all very friendly. Bathroom design was one of the most luxurious I’ve seen in my travels with new tile work and high quality updates.

The rooms were honestly tough for someone who is claustrophobic. The ceilings seemed a little lower than normal and the dark paint colors made the small space feel even smaller.

we stayed at hotel kansas city last year and we absolutely loved it, we came to watch the superbowl and root the Kansas Coty Chiefs on, so we had to come back and stay here again, the history of the hotel is so intriguing to us, we love the old time feel and the luxury of it all, the hotel lobby bar/food was great and i love the little coffee bar, we will def be back another time

Very classy, historical, very clean, super comfortable bed, great location but quiet.

Staff did not seem very friendly with the exception of the check-in clerk who was fine (though no info on wifi was provided). The waitress at the bar seemed in a bad mood, brought us bar nuts that were clearly from the bottom of a bag given the amount of debris and loose salt. Only two regular coffee capsules in the drawer. The server at the coffee bar was also so-so. A smile and “good morning” is not hard to do.

Amazing architecture and design. Valet were the kindest workers and so helpful and prompt. Ready to assist at a moments notice. The tall, thin gentleman working in the bar was extremely friendly and fast at service.

One elevator was not operating, which caused a bit of congestion for one day. The girl at the check-in could have been a bit more helpful in that she was rushing me in the process, though I was the only one at the counter.

It was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly! It was within walking distance of the event center and Power and Lights!

The room was small. Hard to maneuver 4 people around, but since it's an older remodeled hotel, I'm sure the hotels were made like that back then.

The location is fantastic, conveniently located next to the convention center, restaurants and a wonderful upscale grocery store for anything you need. In addition the staff ( front desk, valets, bar and coffee bar staff and housekeeping)is wonderful and genuinely attentive in a kind and caring way.

Very cool hotel! Great location with walking distance to many restaurants, a grocery store, and the Folly theater (which was hosting an event that we were in town for). Really nice workout room as well!

The beds were NOT comfortable! Almost like laying on plastic- noisy and "odd" feeling anytime you moved.

Great hotel in an excellent location in Downtown KC, right in amongst the power and light district. Hotel building is very cool, the updates and decor are very nice, the staff were all incredibly helpful and nice.

I don’t really want to describe it as a dislike, that’s too strong! The rooms are not huge sprawling rooms, there’s enough space for 2 people to function but not much else. They are very nice though!

Nice, clean, convenient.

Was double charged for our stay. Took almost a week for the second “pre authorization” to “fall off” off our account, and release our funds. Though the staff could have assisted in solving this, the told us we had to simply wait. With the price of this hotel, that is a significant amount of funds.
