Great location. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Bed enormous. Great gym and pool. Mini fridge in room, bottled water provided. Warm, lively atmosphere in bar/restaurant.
No mirror near a socket to help when drying hair - minor issue. Very tiny cups for tea/coffee in the room and no accompanying biscuits - again minor issue.

The staff were super friendly. The facilities are gorgeous from the Decor in the lobby to the bar to the rooms. The rooms were really clean and the bed was very comfortable. Really enjoyed the cocktails in the hotel bar. Tasty & reasonably priced.
I have stayed many times in salthill hotel and was disappointed to see that pay parking has since been implemented particularly when paying to stay over for a substantial amount of money. The heat in our room & corridors was crazy hot. This was partly our fault as we hadn’t thought to look for the thermostat in our room. I feel the menu in the bar was lacking a few ‘usual’ favourites. I distinctly remember it used to have a delicious Thai green curry which I was disappointed to see was no longer available. I feel like the menu could have a lot more choice.

The location is fabulous. The staff in the bar were excellent.
Some of the waiting staff at breakfast and lunch were very poor. We waited ages for someone to take our order on both mornings.

Everything about my stay at Salthill Hotel was exceptional. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a large bathroom. There was an iron provided in the room, which was really handy, and a mini vault for storing valuables safely. The hotel facilities were fantastic — especially the gym and leisure centre. There’s a full Olympic-sized pool, a warm water pool, jacuzzi, and a steam room. Highly recommend checking them out! The facilities are open daily from 6am to 10pm. Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am and costs €15 per day. It was a decent, medium-level breakfast — the same menu each day, so not a lot of variety, but overall acceptable. Not exceptional, but not bad either. A big thank you to Daiane in the restaurant — she was always friendly and welcoming! The location is great — right on the beach with just a street in between. You can easily get to the city centre on bus no. 401, but make sure to buy your ticket using the TFI Go app or bring cash, as card payments aren't accepted on the bus. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!
I found the breakfast a bit expensive considering it was a fairly standard breakfast with the same menu each day. It would have been much better if breakfast was included in the room rate.

The hotel was very nice and staff was great. Location was wonderful as well, we had a room overlooking the ocean which was beautiful. The location was a little far from the town centre but we did not mind because we like to walk and there were taxi's available if needed.
The only down side was the restaurant. It was a beautiful room but unfortunately the service was not very good and they were out of a lot of things. They said the weekend was much busier then expected so that is why they ran out of mussels, beer we wanted and Redbreast 12 whiskey. The manager of the restaurant did go way out of his way to try to make things right so that certainly made up for those issues. We decided not to eat there our second night, they also seemed very short staffed so we wanted a little better experience at our dinner the second night.

Spacious comfortable room overlooking the sea. Within easy reach of a bus stop from which one can take the bus into Galway city, a short busy ride away. Salthill village is close by with a couple of cafe's and a shop. We missed lunch on our journey and had a very good meal in the bar of the hotel after we had checked in. The hotel is also conveniently located if you want to journey on to Connemara.
Nothing to criticise. Just note perhaps that you have to pay to park in the hotel car park. The charge is significantly discounted but you need to have paid at reception before you can leave the car park.

The property was very nice. We had dinner in the bar and it was very good as was breakfast (scones were exceptional). Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. If you bring a car, be sure to have the desk validate rather than using the machine in the lobby (5 euro vs 15---that is a beer and a half!). The location was great...right on the promenade and also a little park across the street to explore. There was an amusement park very close would be great for kids.
Wifi was a little slow but tolerable. Check-in seemed a bit confused but it could be due to the tour bus that arrived right before us.

From the moment we arrived, we were so impressed with the staff - from the lovely lady on reception who was so welcoming, to the staff in the bar and then the lovely ladies who looked after us at breakfast. The location is fabulous - we were so surprised to receive a free upgrade to the beautiful corner suite with a sea view! The breakfast was super with lots of choice. We were delighted to be able to give our positive feedback in person to the lovely receptionist who we met on arrival along with Zoltan at checkout. This was our first time to visit the Salthill Hotel. We look forward to visiting again.
Absolutely nothing.

The food was excellent and the room was gorgeous. The view that was promised in the booking blew us away. The cleaning staff were so lovely and efficient. The location was so close to everywhere we needed to go to. The lobby was really nice to just sit in and read for a while. The staff kindly took our bags after checking out so we could explore Salthill one last time before our evening train home as well!
One of the servers at the Prom restaurant seemed a bit tired which resulted in him being a little bit rude to my partner, which I didn't appreciate.

Room was the largest type, better than expected for size and facilities, wasn’t expecting a room so large with a sofa. A little dated but linen of good quality, large bathroom and shower. Cleaned to expected standard daily. Food was very good in bar, breakfast and Prom restaurant. Service was slow in the bar on more than one occasion asked twice for the bill, twice for the coffee, took 45mins to come. Very slow with drinks but staff were friendly and polite. Pool and spa areas were of a very good standard.
Dirty windows, I know it’s difficult with sea spray but clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Some missing sealant in shower cubicle and grout between floor tiles grubby but am being picky just because I paid a lot of money.
