If you are coming to visit the Interlaken region in specific Grindelwald First, Jungfraujoch and other near by attractions you need to stay in the mountain region, do not stay in Interlaken, it is a city too much overloaded with tourists. If you stay in Interlaken you are going to have to wake up earlier, get a very overloaded train to reach the atttractions. Now, in the mountain region, I find Wengen is the best pick, because you can go with gondola or train anywhere you wish, the view is amazing, the city is small and safe and yet you have all you need there. Braunbar hotel has an amazing view, the decoration is very wellcoming, the room is comfortable and has a great bathroom with a bathtub, it is in front of the gondola station and very near the train station, has restaurants and supermarket very near by, and has a big swimming pool with warmed water which was amazing for my 10 years old daughter. The breakfast was the best one of 4 hotels I stayed in Switzerland. If you stay in the mountain region you get earlier to the parks as all the tourists that stay in Interlaken and your day is more productive, you get more rest and time to take advantage of the hotel pool and amazing view after a full day in the attractions. If you stay in the region you get a voucher for mini-golf, tennis, village swimming pool, it is simply amazing, with only 15 min you reach many other villages and can visit them all including Lauterbrunnen, Mannlichen, among others. While Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are also crowdy with tourists, even though less than Interlaken, Wengen has a real mountain village environment. I enjoyed my stay very much.

In the last day the pancake machine did not work on breakfast.

- The staff are particularly friendly and helpful. Full marks to the reception team. Their guidance was valuable in planning our itinerary. Wengen was our base for our day trips to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and Jungfraujoch. - The Spa Area is excellent, especially the Sauna. - Being vegetarians the breakfast is one of the best we had in Switzerland with a good spread/ variety. - The Bar has a good feel to it. After long tiring days, good to have drinks there in the evening. - The rooms are of decent size, spacious, fitted with modern amenities and cleaned throughly everyday. - Wengen is a small town. The hotel is literally in the centre and close to everything.

Strongly recommended stay in Braunbar, located in Wengen village. Wengen is a good place, silence and crowdless Braunbar is a relaxing place for you to enjoy Switzerland weather, regardless of sunny day or rainy day, the hotel make you relax. Good sauna, good pool with locker, in the room, with a big balcony view of mountains, with bath tub, nice bathroom, and with post card for guests, sweets. Very good breakfast, varieties of food, in well cooked, or english style, plenty of choices. One way to improve, coffee machine in the room is only with 2 capsules available, the unlimited one have to take from common area in lobby

Rooms are nicely updated, location is excellent (close to train station and shops), breakfast is excellent (lots of choice), pool is very large for a hotel with indoor and covered outdoor loungers, large dry sauna and steam room

I wish they either monitored the spa pool more or put the ‘no jumping’ on a bigger sign. It’s a spa not a super 8 kids pool. One day there were families completely ignoring the no jumping and another day there were kids following the rules and speaking quietly, like you should be doing in a spa environment. Would be nice if they added a hot tub for those achy apres ski or hiking muscles

We loved the Braunbar! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the location was excellent, and our room (we had a duplex) was perfect for us. We were a family of 4 with teenagers and the balcony was a great addition to chill out on. The pool and sauna added to the luxury feel of the hotel. Breakfast was good and we spent some time each night in the bar chatting with other travellers, listening to music and enjoying some down time. I personally loved the water taps, tea & coffee in reception and the complementary pastries - such a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again.

The only negative was that it was quite warm in the room at night. There was 1 fan but it didn't really cool the 4 of us. We left the door to the balcony open to let some fresh air into the room but it was still pretty warm (late June).

There are Spectacular views of mountains from nearly every window. Lovely clean pool and spa areas. Massage therapists were very considerate and talented. Breakfast was beyond excellent. My daughter has a gluten allergy and found a wide variety of safe choices. Front desk staff was enthusiastic and friendly as well as knowledgeable about hikes and activities.

No air conditioning! We were there at end of June and rented the duplex family room. It was very uncomfortable sleeping even leaving door to porch open. I actually preferred sleeping on couch downstairs near open door.

Beautifully decorated throughout and a great lounge/bar space. Really loved the outdoor seating with bar service as well. Spa area is lovely and breakfast was good and varied. Great coffee! Our room was small, but totally worked for us with lots of shelves and hooks. Comfy beds and balcony with a view. Close to train station. Wengen is a very charming, walkable town. I had my eyes on a few other hotels in the surrounding towns and really happy that I chose to stay here.

The property is very newly decorated, everything is nice/modern. The location is 2 mins walk from wengen station and close to the other restaurants/bars. Easy to get to the cable car - also a 2 min walk. The pool area is nice but can be noisy with kids - not “spa” like. The view from the balcony was amazing, beds were comfy.

The pool doesn’t open until 10am, can be busy with kids. Breakfast is CHF 28 - better to go to the bakery near the station and grab some crossaints for CHF 2!

Everything. I travelled with my mum and we both absolutely loved it here. We shared a twin room and it was spacious, comfortable, clean, and modern. The hotel has good food, great facilities - bar, spa etc and the location is fantastic (really central) and the staff were wonderful. We really hope we can visit again. It also helps that Wengen itself is a really magical and charming place and just so beautiful. Having not visited Switzerland before we feel we were very fortunate finding this hotel and staying in this area.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. However being Vegan I would probably just request/ suggest a couple of minor things. Breakfast was lovely with the choice of baked beans and veggies such as mushrooms, tomatoes and hash browns. There was milk alternatives also. But it would be great if there was a vegan butter alternative to use for toast. And if there were maybe some vegan yogurts available.
