Relaxing Getaway in Palm Springs We had a wonderful time at the Desert Vacation Villa! The property was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and private—perfect for unwinding. The villa was beautifully maintained, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor area with the pool and stunning mountain views. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was also great—just a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, restaurants, and shops. Communication with the hosts was smooth and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We’d definitely love to come back for another stay!

Travelling with mom and sister; we needed a place with three beds. The price was right and we were happy with the size of our unit and how well-appointed it was. We were on the ground floor the first night and the windows in the room rattled whenever anyone walked around upstairs, and it sounded like someone was breaking into the room. I notified Vivian the next morning and she immediately resolved the problem by moving us to an upstairs unit. The pool and outdoor area is great; lots of room to chill out. The rooms are dated but clean. The hotel is in a good location walking distance to the main strip in PS. Staff are sweet and helpful; Vivian was wonderful—accommodating and helpful. I would 100% stay here again.

The decor is dated, and if the air conditioner is off there is a lingering smell of old cigarette smoke. The front desk has limited hours.

As we have used this property for many of our trips to the Tennis Tournaments over the years, we enjoy the 2-bedroom, 2-bath units for the four of us. It suits our needs perfectly. The unit was clean and comfortable. We used the refrigerator but did not do any cooking in the unit.

There were a few changes that I was not aware of. The first was a $100 deposit on the first day of our stay that was new this year. I was told the information about this deposit was on the booking.com app but I did not notice it. There was also a change in the TV programming that did not appear to include the tennis channel anymore. The checkin brochure still contained the old TV channel lineup information. Also, I would have appreciated, at least 2 pieces of soap per bathroom. Thank you for the service all these many years.

I like the hope spacious the place is. Enjoyed the late night hours in the pool.

The only thing I didn’t like was not enough shower towels in the rooms. When asked for more they said we were givin plenty in our rooms. Didn’t think it would be a problem to get a couple more. I have 2 daughters and myself and we use 2 towels when we shower. I for our hair and the other for our body.

I was travelling with my mom (42 and 70 yrs old) and we liked everything about our stay. The room was quiet, kitchen was well setup with all required accessories and dishware, beds were comfy and pool area was great for soaking in the sun or warming up on cooler evenings. The facilities are a bit retro but everything was functional and clean. We checked-in late but the procedure had been communicated to us and went smoothly. Great location for accessing all areas of Palm Springs and walking the ritzy neighbourhoods out the door.

Fantastic location not far from Downtown so nice & quiet, yet handy for getting around as well as getting out if visiting other areas. Apartment came with necessities like dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid etc which took the hassle out of the maintenance element of being self catering. Friendly staff, amicable parking, convenient facilities!

Would love a small table for the balcony, but really can’t complain.

Desert Villas is located in a fabulous area of Palm Springs. The place needs to be updated but the rooms are enormous and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The pool is great with a mountain view. Place grows on you .Would definitely return.

The second bathroom is small and shower is hard to navigate. The gym is off site.

Spacious villa, the two bathrooms and well stocked kitchen were great. Very accommodating for our early arrival and allowed us to swim in the pool while we waited. Great staff!

Only a minor thing, the pool pump was near our bedroom balcony and was quite noisy, it was constant so didn’t keep us awake.

For us it was perfect - we had everything we needed in the room and it was big enough, and we enjoyed the swimming pool and had it for ourselves most of the time. Location is great too. Being able to do laundry was a plus during our trip.

As some other comments mentioned it is a bit dated so we can understand how some people may like hotels with more modern designs - but it did not really bother us as the villa was clean (and it can be part of the charm!)

The suite was very comfortable and well laid out, with a well-appointed kitchen. Having 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms plus living room, kitchen and dining room was perfect for our needs. The pool was very nice. Great location!

It was too hot in Palm Springs to be able to do all the things we wanted to do. The office hours are limited, which could complicate arrival and check in, in case anything goes wrong with travel plans.
