The view was exceptional from our balcony over the beach. My wife has never been to an ocean or any body of water bigger than the Mississippi River so she was in awe when I opened the curtains of the sliding glass door exposing her to the view. It was part of my birthday gift to her and she was pleased.

The wifi seemed very weak. I had no cellphone connection so I was counting on the wifi to come through. It really didn't help much at all. I was also hoping for a microwave in the room. Because of the nature of my wife's cancer, she can't eat much in the way of solid foods so we bring things she'll be able to swallow like broth, instant potatoes and gravy, etc. Having a microwave in the room would have been really nice.

Room was very comfortable. Kind of at the end of a hall with few other rooms so it was very quiet. Room 333. Staff were very accommodating. Beautiful pool area in less than a mile walk from downtown. Highly recommend.

I was disappointed there was not a microwave in the room but I did see one on the basement level in the hallway. I would have liked yogurt at breakfast and maybe an extra toaster.

The hotel was in a perfect location, minutes from downtown. Accessible to the beach with lounge chairs, towels. The hotel was spotless. The room was very comfortable, plenty of room, I liked the sink outside of the shower and toilet room. The breakfast was wonderful. I liked the sitting areas and many areas for sitting of eating in the hotel. Coffee was available all day. In the breakfast area, the coffee had multiple creamers, sugars, regular and decaf options. Breakfast offered breads, waffles, eggs, sausage, omelettes, juice, fruit, milk, yogurt, cereal- something for everyone. The pool was very clean and enjoyable, as was the hot tub. A fantastic stay!

That I couldn’t stay longer!

The room was immaculate, its furnishings were all comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, the tv was large with plenty of stations, and the view from the beachfront room was amazing. And all of that came with an excellent price, providing a superb value. Even better, the folks there were wonderful. On check-in, the host (whose name I didn’t see) was both friendly and efficient, making the process quick and easy. And the next morning, Savannah at the front desk took plenty of time to share recommendations on things to see and do in the area, actually mapping a path for me to explore, the result of which was an amazing day of sight-seeing. Simply put, she went far beyond the norm for my expectations. The hotel isn’t brand new, so that should be understood for those seeking only the newest. And the breakfast room was a bit tight, but also kept clean and well-stocked. Overall, though, it’s aging quite well, with a staff that makes it even more impressive.

Out of their control, the city is doing road work throughout the downtown corridor, and this definitely impacted traffic. But that’s the case for all of downtown. It was totally manageable. In-town travel just took longer than normal.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room ( we got an upgrade at no charge) was very nice. The pool was as clean as any pool I've ever seen. The hot tub was hot and had very good jets.The breakfast turned out to be very good. It right on the beach, what more could you ask for?

Very very minor. The shower had no place to set soap or shampoo down . The fan in the bathroom must have been broken

This is my favorite hotel in Traverse City. We always stay here. I was a little disappointed by the staff during this visit. They were not as kind and friendly as normal. I called at noon and asked for an early check in and they told me that they would call me if my room opened up for which they never did. I arrived at 2:30pm and was able to check in. They just didn’t call I was sitting in the parking lot waiting to go in. I do love the property and location and cleanliness.

Breakfast was subpar. I would like to see higher quality products. my husband and I could not even go to the pool because there were too many children running around. One of the reasons we stay here is for the hot tub and when I walked in the door, there was one adult and nine children in your hot tub. My husband and I looked at each other and said “nope, no way”.

Room was great. Paid for roadside view, but got the beach view, which was nice. Room was clean, breakfast was good. I would stay there again.

TV was awkward and I just wanted the local channels. Furniture isn't top notch, which might bother some, but I didn't care. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan.

We had a beach view room with a balcony. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was quite good. I like their pool and hot tub area, too. The beach was kept well with lounge chairs and towels. It's a perfect spot for sunset or star gazing.

The only complaint I had for the rooms was the pillows. So many of them but none to my firm/softness liking.

The breakfast at Bayshore was nice. They had many grab and go items as well as hot items such as waffles, scrambled eggs, omelets and sausage. The breakfast area is large and very clean. We always stay at Bayshore every time we go to Traverse City. It is a nice hotel and we always have a good experience.

The hotel currently has road construction right in front of their parking lot. We could only turn one way out of there. This is only a temporary situation until the construction is done.

The hotel was much bigger and more beautiful than we expected. It was easy to find and the parking was very accessible to the hotel entrance. Check-in was at 4 pm but our room was ready early. The hotel was very clean and spacious. Our room was easy to locate and was bigger and nicer than we had thought it would be. The room was well worth the rate we paid.

We were surprised to be given a room on the "beach level". Our room was right next to the hotel entrance to the beach, so when we sat on our balcony, there were people a few feet away and people coming and going to the beach. Being on the beach level was very nice, but maybe in a different location besides the main entrance to the beach.
