Located in a serene area of Randwick, perfect for having a well rested leisure, but still very accessible with public transport. 5-10 minutes to Cogee beach! Property is clean, amenities is complete, kitchenette’s have everything we need, the staff is very helpful.
Our room is cold, the wall is not insulated, its colder in our room rather than outside, our issues is fixed when we left the window open. We understand spring already, thus heater isnt used anymore, but in our first week staying, Sydney still around 10 degree which quite cold for us. Schedule for kitchenette confusing us sometime, we cannot always utilize the utensils on the kitchen cabinet

It really is a lovely hotel, perched in a quiet block near the top of a hill, with well maintained gardens adding to its peaceful ambience. The interior decoration has a black-and-white palm tree theme which seemed a perfect match for the stately building. Access was easy even with an after-hours check in, while the front desk is open for very generous hours given the relatively small size of the hotel. The on-street parking was surprisingly plentiful.
Our room looked onto the laundry shed, whose large industrial grey metal door was left open even when no-one was working. It would be nice to paint the door in the property's palm-tree theme and close it when the laundry wasn't operating. Also, the entrance door to our room didn't fit well so at night the bright hall light shone round its edges. I'm not very light sensitive, but it was still annoying enough to make me lie a towel down to at least block the light coming from underneath the door.

Beautiful building. Great staff. They were very responsive. Great for family. Uber deliveries for groceries and food were very very quick. Premium handwash in the bathroom. Amenities such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were nice.
The room I was in must have been adjacent to some kind of a motor. I couldn't leave the window open for fresh air (room was a bit stuffy) because the motor kept turning on and waking me up. Condiments were lacking in quantity e.g. three coffee sachet and my son and I drink strong black coffee in the morning. Amenities such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were nice but not sure if there would be enough for a family of three, as per room configuration.

Excellent location for local restaurants, Randwick shopping centre with supermarkets and delis and direct access into Sydney on L1 red light rail or various buses to Bondi etc. Quiet residential location; excellent breakfast cafes within walking distance and easy walk to Coogee beach. Perfect! Nice green frontage and small rear courtyard to sit. Some rooms have front veranda and seats. We used the laundry room with washer and separate drier. Housekeeping every other day. Room was clean. Room 304 was at rear in a quiet courtyard which suited us and had a large bathroom area. Air conditioning was quiet. Small table outside for sitting or eating. Complimentary mints in room and nuts and water at reception. Helpful reception staff, welcoming. WiFi strong. Small kitchenette on upper floor with coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster etc.
Nothing. Even better if: bed was large double but we presume this was our room type Light in bathroom could be switched on separately to extractor fan Room size slightly tight for a 5 night stay with 2 large suitcases but we would return. No lift if you book an upper floor room be prepared to haul luggage upstairs

The staff were amazing very friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do more.
When we booked through booking.com the reservation included a taxi transfer. This was booked by booking.com before leaving the U.K. When we arrived in Australia after a 24 hour flight there was no taxi waiting for us. This then cost 95 dollars to get to St Marks hotel. When we arrived at the hostel we explained the situation and we were told this wasn’t the first time this has happened. I’ve attempted to complain to booking.com and I’ve had no response. There is also no official email to complain too only their message service.

St Marks is a gorgeous building in a great location. It's on a residential street just off the main road of Randwick. It's a 15 min walk to the nightlife hub which includes the Ritz cinema and a great variety of restaurants and bars. The Building and grounds are kept beautifully. Our queen deluxe room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette even had some big bowls and cutlery which came in handy when we got pho delivered for dinner that didn't come with any eating utensils. The bed was really comfy and had clean, crisp linen and the bathroom was clean and had really nice complimentary toiletries (Mr Smith ❤️). The only slight complaint I have is that the bathroom could do with more ventilation but otherwise it was perfect for our needs. I would definitely consider staying again in the future. Free on street parking was a plus too!

Just as it looks in the photos! Simple, stylish modern decor. Our twin room at the back of the hotel was quiet although there did not seem to be many quests when we stayed so that probably helped.
The bedding was lovely however both single mattresses were sagging in the middle and the pillows were very firm. As others have pointed out, the bathroom is tiny (very narrow) which we coped with but could be tricky for some. The street parking is 2 hour time limited 8AM-8PM Monday-Sunday. We were using our car during the day so this was not a problem.

This is a cute little accommodation (NOT a hotel - as it has no restaurants, pool, concierge, or other traditional hotel features), great room size although bathroom is a bit pokey and not functional (can't open the shower door without getting everything wet, not enough room to put all toiletries, not enough hooks and those which are available are placed quite high).
Wish that there was a longer guest services operating time.....the freezer in the bar fridge in our room was leaking, and we only noticed it in the evening....there was noone to report this to until the next morning as the Reception desk manned hours are 8AM to 6PM

Very clean and well equipped heritage building with tall ceilings, comfortable firm beds, adequate pillows. Great shower with good water pressure. Special touches like coffee machine in the communal kitchenette, and seed and nut snack bag at reception.
Air conditioning not functioning. It appeared like someone had been sitting on the bed, when we first arrived and there was a plastic bag sitting in the middle of the room. The room was otherwise spotless and clean. The weekend we were there it was torrentially raining. Unfortunately this meant that we had to run from the main house to our courtyard room through the rain.

The room and hotel design feels very nice, everything was clean. I like that there are coffee machines, microwaves, cutlery and fridge for simple meals. Also laundry add additional cost.
The room are not perfectly sound proof, so you can hear people walking around upstairs if you are on the ground floor. No lifts as well so you will have to drag your luggage if you have lots that might be something to consider. I also saw ants coming out of the drains from my room - told the receptionist and they had disinfected the room but no room change was possible so still felt a bit uncomfortable to be honest.
