The staff was exceptional, responsive and attentive. The space itself is well designed to be efficient and well laid out. it was an excellent way to spend 3 days in town. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook including an induction 2 burner stove top, pots, pans, knives, cutting board etc. There is a combination washer/dryer, hangers, ironing board and iron, living room area, fold-away dining table, 2 televisions, privacy partition for the bedroom, and plenty of space for a short or long term stay.
The pull out couch is uncomfortable. However everything else about the space is well done and was to our liking.

The Iris is beautiful. Everything is top notch. The linens, towels, robes, bed. Both a nespresso and a Keurig, a dyson hairdryer. The apartment is gorgeous and they thought of everything. There is even a sound machine on the wall in the bedroom to drown out any noise while you sleep. Yes, there is construction in the area, but it did not affect our sleep. Yes, it is further from the heart of downtown, but that was obvious when we looked on the map to book it. There is no way we could have booked this type of luxury further downtown for this price. We like to walk and it did not impede our stay in any way. Plus, we went to a few restaurants north of us, Tutti pizza and Lewis BBQ so it was a good location, and there are great little places to grab a bite in the morning nearby. We did not have a car so I cannot comment on the parking. The few places we needed a ride to we took a Lyft which was way more reasonable than Uber. I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing. It was perfect for our stay.

The location was perfect. There was a bus stop a block from the property, so getting to City Center was quick and easy. The bathroom was spacious, and the bed was comfy. The welcoming gift of water, wine, and chocolate was very hospitable. They provided just about everything you needed to make the place feel like home. The staff were also very responsive.
The bedroom was more of an "enclave" within the apartment, so there were no windows in the "bedroom ". With the curtains closed, it got a little stuffy in the room. We also rented a unit with a kitchen so that we could prepare meals, but we were a little surprised that there were no steak knives. The unit was beautiful, but we traveled with our two year old, so the sharp corners of the rectangular table gave us nightmares daily. And it was a fight getting him not to play with the exposed washing machine. None of this is the fault of the property. Again, it looked great, and having in-unit laundry is very helpful. But I think the property is best suited for adults or people with older children.

It’s a beautiful apartment and the workers were helpful. Very good location to uber to places downtown for cheap. I liked having easy access to the street from our unit. The parking carousel was neat and easy to use. I appreciated the complimentary gifts and note also.
Either the rug was shedding or a guest had a pet in there previously, but there was white hair that got all over our socks and clothes. It was chilly and the heat took a while to turn up and there was no hot water in the sink in the bathroom. I also felt like people outside could see us through cracks in the shades (I could also see into the apartment across the street through the cracks) so it was hard for us to truly relax and feel comfortable especially when getting dressed. I also wish there was a King Bed but understand space is limited.

My sisters and I loved it at our 2nd floor suite - the decor is bright, lovely, modern, and meticulously clean - comfy bed, great shower, TVs in bedroom and living room, excellent bathroom, great kitchen facilities, including a washer/dryer combo that was handy. We appreciated the elevator! We didn't have a car but were intrigued by the vertical parking facilities - very cool! Location was a short walk to great restaurants on King Street, and close to the charming attractions in the center. Kimberly & Samantha were super kind and helpful to us in making arrangements - they went out of their way to accommodate us on early arrival. Plus, we had a little snafu with our travel arrangements home and they were terrific about extending us for a day in the same room. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Charleston.
A longer stay would have been better!

The accommodation and location were excellent.
The parking could have been great however the price, the process of booking it and the ridiculous complexity of the whole thing was mind boggling - it took 12 emails, downloading apps, an 'instructional video' and several phone calls to get my car parked (and I've worked in IT for 40 years). Staff on site to operate the carousel is clearly an expense the owners have rejected. The wifi is poor and horribly insecure - did a child set the passwords? A system that is geared to the convenience of the guest rather than the owners and staff would seriously improve this otherwise good place to stay.

Perfect location when visiting Charleston. Right outside the busy downtown and yet still within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The Iris is a real hidden gem. Very cozy apartment with everything you need and more. The room is soundproof so you can't hear the outside noise or someone next door when relaxing inside. And the welcome gift is just the cherry on top. The parking is a little pricey (everything in Charleston is a bit expensive to be honest) but I've seen hotels downtown charging +$30 just for few hours, so $25/day is not that bad after all. Ah, and the staff are just awesome. The let us check in early because we arrived in town around noon and it was too hot outside.

The facilities in my unit were great, ideal for a longer stay where you can get your own food and don't need to worry about eating out every night. You can also pack more lightly if you make use of the washer-dryer: pods were provided, as well as dishwasher tablets. As well as an induction stove (2 rings) there's a microwave. Size of the place was just perfect for one or two. I had a zoom meeting while there and it worked perfectly on wifi.
Really *really* minor things, I think thicker curtains would be appreciated, when it's dark and folks can walk right past the window, it feels like you could be seen (although I can't verify that's true!). I loved the location, but it is a slightly longer walk in to town: but there are bikes for hire which is also super convenient if a 20min walk is a bit too much for you.

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the rooms, from the welcome goodie bag to the reusable water bottles to the garbage disposal, we really felt at home and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and easy to reach. We travelled with a pet and found the space to be very pet friendly - it was nice to have more space in this apartment style setup versus a hotel where their likely would have been more noise that my dog could react to. The location was also great, all of the Ubers we called were less than 15 minutes to our destination, and we were walking distance to the main strip on King Street as well as some cute coffee / breakfast spots like Island Provisions and The Daily. The Iris is definitely a hidden gem!
Our stay really was great. I would just note that The Iris does feel more like apartment units, and although the rooms are super cozy and beautifully designed, there is no main lobby / hotel feel. We had dinner at The Emeline and checked out the rooftop at The Ryder Hotel to get our fill of the hotel ambiance, which are all super close to The Iris.

This is a fantastic set of apartments, complete with a secure gate, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the car park due to maintenance work. However, the Iris team suggested parking just a five-minute walk away, and the location is so walkable that we didn’t need to use the car at all. The apartment itself was excellent, with many thoughtful details that are often missing in other rentals—this was not the case here. It featured great amenities (washer/dryer, hair dryer, makeup towels, water bottles, washing up liquid, detergent, shampoo/conditioner, wine, chocolate, coffee) and a well-designed layout. There was also nice outdoor seating where we enjoyed a coffee one morning, and the area has wonderful independent restaurants, coffee shops, and more.
The only small detail that could be improved was that the sofa wasn't the type you could crash on. It was quite uncomfortable, so we took to the bed to watch TV instead. But that’s such a minor issue!
