It is a really nice hotel, and excellent value for money. The staff are nice and the room clean and safe.

it was a little out of town (about 20 mins) it was fine but something to consider

The property was quiet, The staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was good. The room had everything we needed and was clean.

The little things that needed attention. Dinning room windows needed cleaning, we were put on a window seat which was nic but the windows were smeary. In our room the lights had usb charging plug but they did not work. The soap holder in our shower was broken. The freezer in the fridge was all iced up and no ice tray (however staff happily give me ice each day). At breakfast all 3 mornings no salt and pepper on tables.

Beautiful hotel, stunning location. Staff very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is in dire need of a full refurbishment. Parts of the room and rest of the hotel appeared grubby. Needed a good lick of paint and some repairs. There was mould on the runners of the windows in the dining room, the carpets were almost threadbare and in our room (which was a superb room overlooking the lake) had hundreds of dead trout flies in the runners of the patio doors. This could be a stunning venue if an overhaul was carried out. That said, we enjoyed our stay but could see that they are potentially missing out on huge opportunities - hotel needs upgrading and minor repairs carried out with a full redecoration.

The rooms were very spacious and clean. I especially appreciated the bed, which was very soft. Check-in was fairly easy and there is plenty of parking. I really liked the location! Since it was on the other side of the lake from Rotorua, it was fairly quiet and not too crowded. However, if you want to be able to get to city center quickly, it might not be the best location for you. The maintenance staff were all very friendly and clearly keep the building extremely clean.

The laundry room was convenient, but many of the machines were broken, so just be aware. The front desk staff was also very busy, and there was often a line. They were great once you got to the front of the line! I just think they might want to have more than one staff member at the front at times.

There was a bit of a damp smell in the reception area but didn’t seem to flow into the corridors or rooms. The decor is a bit tired but overall did not retract from our stay which was very comfortable.

Full cooked and continental breakfast with hot and cold drinks Spas, sauna and pool (loved that the pool felt like a cold plunge) Lake front views were stunning Good value for money Staff were helpful and approachable Couldn’t hear neighbours in the room and the resort was fully booked and we could hear them when walking down the hallway so sound proofing was good Due to time we didn’t use laundry or gym but were available Last minute booking was available - booked at about 8:15pm and checked in at about 9:15pm and was still able to use the spa, pool and sauna or have a late dinner at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. (We chose to soak in the spa, pool and sauna and relax lakeside.) So grateful to have this option as we were exhausted and needed a place to rest instead of continuing a long drive / driving fatigued. Easy to find and good signage out front

Trout flies were excessive but there was ample warning about these flies, our light to the outside needed replacing so we couldn’t lure the flies out that way The shower was a bit cramped No pool showers A bit dated but was fairly maintained

The location just a little outside the main town was great! All round a lovely stay. I would definitely stay at this place again! 👍

20 Aug - eggs were cold and we were the first guests to arrive for breakfast at 7am. Also, it was cold inside the restaurant on arrival, guessing the heater must have just been turned on. Would have been nice to have the background instrunental music playing through the speakers like it was the day before when we dined for breakfast. No issues on the 19 Aug. 😊

Lovely resort, my husband and my second time staying there and we had a lovely time. Wish we could have been there longer. The room was beautiful and so comfortable. We loved our stay. The spa bath was lovely, the heated floors in the bathroom were so nice.

The only thing I didn't like was that there were no plates or knives and forks in our room. And the hot water ran out on our last night so we had a Luke warm shower. And if we used the double shower the bathroom would flood a bit.

I loved the location, away from the city but not too far. Venue was very aesthetic, warm and clean.

I didn't like that there was no inside curtain. The beautiful view but didn't want the curtains opened as there were no Inside curtains. there was no microwave also which was so weird. Couldn't heat up food we brought in even in the restaurant as you weren't allowed, found that weird as well. Also not much walking up to level one but if your heavily pregnant it may be an issue as there is no lift

Great location with lake on doorstep.. chess game was great.. friendly staff..good price... Had a nice bath in your room which was great on a cold night.. beds were the best so comfy...

Hot tub wasn't hot.. didn't have bowls so wouldn't be good for a long stay as you would always need to eat out... Had only tiny cups so you couldn't have a decent sized tea or coffee in your room.... Shower needs renovation .. looked like mouldy rubber seals.. . Definitely needs more lighting in Bathroom and room.. as lighting is near bed.. no lights on the table or near tv.. but overall enjoyed our stay.. would go back in summer would lovely with the lake
