The 2 bedroom unit we stayed was really a place like a second home. The bed was comfy, you’ve got your own lounge, shower and comfort room. The kitchen facility with your all needed kitchen utensils are ready. There’s a big fridge too. We really enjoyed our stay. The nights were peaceful and of course the thermal baths were amazing. The kids really enjoyed it too. We even saw the Rotorua drone show over the lake. We’re going to come back for sure! Our friends wanted to stay and experience the same thing and we highly recommend your place.

The wifi connection is the only downside. We have our own data but for those who won’t, you hardly can connect,

Price was great. Unit was clean and had everything. Loved the open air hot pool to soak in at the end of the day (liked that it was open until 9pm).

A comfortable couch would be nice, instead of the bench seat. Roading and paths could do with some maintenance/leveling. And perhaps don't promote the lake dig for hot water, was very dirty/messy with broken bench seat, not very appealing to dig and sit in.

Cosy Cottage Thermal Holiday Park was a great choice for my overnight stay. Check-in was easy and met with such warmth and enthusiasm that it immediately set a positive tone. The property felt safe, well organised, and offered excellent value for money—especially as a solo traveller with a cabin that could easily accommodate a family. The location was convenient, close to shops and the water, and the unexpected bonus of private hot pools was amazing. The bathrooms were tidy, and overall the stay felt comfortable and welcoming.

The only thing that could have improved the experience would be the addition of shower soap dispensers or perhaps a vending machine for basic hygiene products, which would make things even more convenient for travellers. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

We stayed in the basic cabin with the toilet, it was a a really nice simple room clean and very warm with the natural heater. We were located right next to the hot tubs. Great location, the grounds were tidy, and even though we didnt get to use the hangi steamer its such a cool option. However the hot tubs are a bit of a let down this was the main reason i booked this accom they are very small, we had a dip in the morning and it wasnt fully heated up like the previous day we had used it so i was guttered we didnt get to enjoy a hot soak before we left. The access to the beach had deep puddles so it was very unpleasent, i wanted to get my moneys worth lol so i still walked through it even with my son almost in tears having to go through it. I actually thought the beach was hot but it wasnt lol it would have been lovely if there was a platform or something so we could still walk there without going through the puddles. With a few tweaks it could have been a 10/10 but its still a nice spot.

I would just say there needs to be a blind in the kitchen where we stayed as people can see in when they walk up the stairs.

Loved our cute cabin and the cooking facilities in our little room. Handy having fridge, microwave and cooking utensils without having to go to use communal kitchen. We especially loved the thermal pools and the option to make your own puia hangi, very cool. Easy late check-in and lovely receptionist at the other end of the phone when we had to make last minute booking. Beds were comfy and our room heater was on when we arrived at night, thank-you!

If I'm being honest, would be nice to have tea and coffee sachets in room.

Beautiful customer service straight away on arrival, prompt check-in..friendly staff and our room and all facilities were lovely and clean!!! Signs were well displayed, so I didn't have to ask any questions in regards to when the swimming pool, hot pools, and laundry facilities were open as everything had clear signs. Needed extra towels, which wasn't a hassle at all, as it has been an issue in other places for us to get extra towels. Amazing staff, just so helpful and again it was so clean!!! Definitely revisiting!!! Oh, and I forgot to mention the steam hangi oven!!! The staff were very informative and gave awesome tips that led us to making one of the best succulent, flavoursome hangis we have ever tasted!!! Oh and FYI, they supply the cooking pans and utensils with a deposit, which you get back when you return them. Everything was made so easy!!!

The only thing was the hot pools weren't open all day!! But in saying that, it was for a good reason..... they were being cleaned!!!! 😊🤗🤗🤷‍♀️

Very nice location in Rotorua - you'll have to walk a bit to get there but once you figured out the little-streets-system, you'll be able to walk near historical sites to get to the city center. So it is situated near the lake and thats why it is so quiet at night and good air surrounding you. You'll have a kitchen annex at the small cabin, 4 people capacity, and outside the lawn and trees behind the camping. On spot are up to 4 pools, just for sitting, one for swimming, rather small but with actual healing water for free. Check out the aquatic center nearby (for real lap swimming) or the big spas in the main city park an of course the surroundings with geothermal activity (the Lady Knox Geysir btw is chemically induced with soap but the Champagne pool is amazing) !

The on-site hotpools were very charming and 3 different temperatures, my 3 year old even loved soaking in them. The hangi pit was fun to use, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was close to everything without feeling super busy and the little beach with warm sand that you can access via the campgrounds was fun and felt quite private. We would love to visit again 😊

Unfortunately the room we were given had a very bright outdoor light right outside our door & window, it lit our room up very brightly and made it difficult to sleep, will be sure to ask for a different room next time!

Booked a room for the night for me, my partner and little sister we thoroughly enjoyed our stay our room had a double bed, bunk and a toilet (which was really small and such a tight space) however our beds were comfy, rooms were clean. Spa pools were a bonus, which we really enjoyed a nice soak early in the morning, wish they stayed open later at night as they close at 9PM. Public amenities were really clean, could do with a little upgrade around the place but overall worth our money and would come back again but probably book a cabin rather than a room just for more comfort.

The toilet in our room was so small, and the floor in the room was really creaky

The hot spas of varying temperatures were beautiful. I could bring my dog and didn’t need to worry about a dog sitter. Able to cook meals, and it was a decent basic accommodation with everything you need, affordable and in a good location close to the luge, ziplines, paradise valley.

Neighbouring rooms were clearly heard. With one side getting up real early for a sports tournament and the other side getting in late, both making lots of noise, there was no chance of a sleep in or early to bed. That was just the weekend, the weekdays were much better
