Young gave us the best service ever! He was super attentive and helpful, giving us all the info we needed for our Rotorua trip. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. A great location steps from the CBD, the unit they offered us was very spacious and had everything we needed to spend a few days relaxing . Highly recommend!😀

What I didn’t like was that the toilet tended to clog when using tissue, and for a few days, the shower tap was broken and difficult to adjust between hot and cold water. Also, the kitchen utensils were not complete. However, these were manageable and didn’t greatly affect our overall stay.

We originally booked the Manhattan Motel, but we were moved to the other motel, the Kohwai Motel, which I think is the same owner. It was cozy enough, with complete cooking stuff in the kitchen. They even have a spa pool in our unit, but we weren't able to use it because we were mostly tired when we came back from daytrip. Personally as a woman I would just suggest a big mirror as they have a small mirror in the bathroom and if you're small petite like me, you will barely see your face 😁 but apart from that, overall it was a comfortable accommodation, near to everything and the staff are helpful enough. Highly recommended it.

Nice motel, with very friendly staff. The Room or Suite we had provided lots of space for a family of 4. I think it would be a squeeze with 8 though. The beds were nice and comfortable, the linen was nice and clean, and the towels were changed every day. The Motel is an easy walk to the shopping centre, and about 15 minute walk to the spa. It was easy to find, and the owner was very flexible about us increasing the length of our stay.

As with other people's comments the bathroom and kitchen have seen better days and could do with updating.

This is a older motel but don't be put off, it's absolutely spotless with lots of room and has everything that you need. Great location easy parking and the owner is so polite and friendly. Definitely recommend and is the best value for money that I have ever experienced in a motel. Thermal heating also a big bonus.

Nothing to not like.

Value for money. Although a little outdated, it had all the necessities that I needed and a decent cooking area. Central location. Roomy and cosy. Comfy beds. I'll definitely rebook.

Little more emphasis on cleaniness - supply a decent dishwashing cloth. The accomm only had one fan for two rooms - airconditioning please? Toilet was fixed on the second day we were there.

The location is great. We had a unit with 2 bedrooms, which was much better than we expected. The geothermal pool was lovely and hot. The price was extremely reasonable for 4 people. Although on the older side the motel was value for money. It was good to have a kitchen.

What stood out the most to me was the Business Manager named Yung who went way and beyond to help me by offering transport, being very kind and welcoming. He even offered for me to enjoy the property's free small geothermic spa which is located right behind the room I stayed in!

We actually stayed at Kowhai motel as there was some issue with the Manhattan. The owners were super friendly and the motel they offered was amazing. It had an outdoor pool and a hot thermal spa pool. The linen and towels were crispy white. Great location as well!

The motel is not new but looks well maintained

Young was great and made us feel welcome. Place was great for our family of 2 adults and 4 kids plus a baby. Close to town and down a quiet street. Great value and we will be back in the future.

Nothing major just needs a little bit of tlc with the old power points and light switches and oven to be upgraded.
