Crash Palace is an excellent accommodation! It's location is walking distance from the Polynesian Spa, Goverment Gardens, Pak N Save, etc. The staff were all friendly and easily accessible as most, if not all the staff, live there. The facilities were all maintained properly. The room was simple but big enough for 2 people. The bed was comfortable. The showers and toilets were clean. The courtyard was clean and nicely and colourfully decorated.

Access to the courtyard was limited to 10 pm even on Fridays and Saturdays. It would have been nice to stay at the courtyard after 10 pm on weekends because it was a nice place to chill and meet other people staying at the accommodation.

Comfortable and super fun facilities Very clean and accommodating to late check out and check in Free use of the spa was especially wonderful after a full day of hiking Hostel cat Blake was super sweet and loving as well

Security due to location unfortunately there is lots of theft in area and someone broke into my car in the night They have since added more cameras and were super helpful with the emotional aspect of that experience and gave video footage of break in / car theft attempt from a friend of an employee who happened to drive by as it was happening to try and get licence of getaway car and making sure my stuff was secure while I cleaned out the broken glass and packed up rental to return and swap

This place was in a great location, everything in town is walkable which is so handy when you don't have a car. Our private room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. We LOVED the hot tub, it was a perfect temperature and so relaxing after a long day! Didn't use the kitchen but everything looked very organised and clean.

The bed was on wheels and constantly rolled away from the wall which was a little annoying. The women's room had two showers; one was perfect (second from the door), the other was a mess and was a tiny trickle of water which was either blastingly hot or freezing cold, nothing in between. Staff were pleasent but a little unenthusiastic. We would stay here again though, for the price it's a great deal.

A great hostel in a great location. The staff are very helpful, and the people I met in the hostel were fantastic (both staff and other backpackers). Rotorua is a lovely place, and I extended my stay here for a total of two weeks because I was very comfortable sleeping here while searching for work. The room had lockers, and a desk that we all used on occasion. The shared space downstairs was comfortable, and the hostel even has a small library section, which I made good use of. The "owner" of the hostel is small, friendly and meows very loudly when he smells food. Pet him when you see him - it's the law.

The towels are a little expensive compared to other hostels, but it is what it is. I figure that the value of the accommodation more than outweighs that $5 charge.

The accommodation is very well located, next to the Polinesian Spa and 7 minutes from the intercity bus stop. Bastián was very kind in showing me around the hostel. The kitchen has everything you need, and when there aren't people in the jacuzzi, it's quite peaceful.

I didn't get to say goodbye to Bastián when I left because my bus was leaving early in the morning. I also didn't get a chance to enjoy the jacuzzi, but I did enjoy a warm foot bath in Kuirau Park.

The place was amazing. The room was warm and bed super comfy. The hot water was super hot (watch your toes in the shower). The spa was prefect after a busy day of exploring Rotorua. Plus there's a very friendly and cute as cat. The staff were so lovely. It's a great location and a hidden gem in Rotorua. Definitely worth the money and I'll definitely stay here again.

Only issue was the extractor fan in our bathroom didn't work.

The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable and clean. The room was also centrally heated which made it very cozy, as it was 2 degrees outside at times. My views were lovely and the hotel was situated just across the road from the event I was attending. I parked my car right outside,,so I could see it from my window. The hoast are lovely and friendly, and professional dealing with other inconsiderate guests. Highly recommend this place. The spa was lovely too.

My room was adjacent to the upstairs kitchen and dining room, which made it noisy at times. Might be helpful if the owners restricted the cooking times for the upstairs kitchen no later than 9pm. And no noise after 9.3pm for upstairs. . other than this. Loved my stay.

The stay was really amazing, the hosts were always very willing to assist with directions and other things which was good for someone like me who was coming for the first time. You get a very clean kitchen too to make your meals.

Everything was great, nothing to complain about, really nice and welcoming people. This made easy to get settled in the city. They also offer suggestions for tour areas if you are new in the city which is amazing.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, they gave us a short tour around the place (bar, kitchen, hot tub, etc.) and explained how everything works plus gave us useful tips about things to do in Rotorua, where to eat and similar. The room is quite nice too, has everything you need, much better than what we expected. Location of the Crash palace is excellent, would definitely come back if I find myself in Rotorua again!
