What a fabulous B&B!! The rooms and attached bathrooms are very large and super comfy, beautiful decor in a big house w classic wood floors and newly upgraded bathrooms and other details. The bed.... felt like I was a princess. Loved the terrace off the room. View was spectacular. I travel a lot for work and leisure and know the details that make a stay more comfortable and enjoyable for me. Literally every detail I care about, was well done (place to sit, work space in room, plugs and adapters in the right place, electric kettle/assortment of coffee, tea, etc, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, good shower w great water pressure and water that gets both hot enough and cold enough, easy to find, easy offstreet parking,... the list goes on). And then there are the hosts. Dave and Shami are wonderful. Easy, interesting, a wealth of information, recommendations, (and history!) if you want it.... Breakfast was fantastic. I was the only guest, but they put out a spread for a full house. Freshly baked foccacia was some of the best I've had. It's a "mediterranean" breakfast: Fruit, yogurt, muesli, breads, meat and cheese board, and the homemade marmalade and jams.... really good. Finally, the location is really special - sitting up on the rim of the ancient volcano, overlooking the geyser, super close to Whakateratera. I'll be back.

Honestly, what I didn't like was not being able to stay longer. No negative points to review.

This was a great accommodation choice for me, as I had a car that I could use to get to where I needed to go. Up high above Rotorua, it had a great view, and the room I was in was very spacious, comfortable and clean. There were many extras included in the kitchen and bathroom that were appreciated (including the resident cats: optional in your room, of course!). As host, Dave was very helpful and friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The continental breakfast was very good. I would certainly recommend this accommodation to others.

If you do not have your own transport, this area may be a little far from the centre of town (although I am sure the hosts would be able to give you advice on how to get around).

The property is in a quiet residential location on the edge of Rotorua, ideally located for exploring all the geothermal parks in the area, which ranged from 10 mins to 30 mins away by car. We stayed for 4 nights and found the accommodation very comfortable, although some of the furnishings in our room were starting to feel a little tired and dated, albeit the bathroom had just been upgraded and was excellent. Our hosts, Dave and Sharmi were very friendly and helpful and provided an excellent communal breakfast each morning.

There is a shared kitchen, which was fine for making a drink or heating up some food in the evening, but lacked a lot of basic facilities if you were intending to cook something a little more substantial. Some of the fixtures/fittings in our room needed a little maintenance, but it didn't spoil our stay.

Property was in a fantastic location near all of the major Rotorua tourist spots. It had a fantastic view of the geysers in Te Puia. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with en suites. The breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cold meats and cheeses and fresh toast / breads. Dave and Shami were excellent hosts. They gave great advice as to where to go / what to do. They made us a lovely cup of tea / coffee in the morning. They were so welcoming upon arrival and wished us safe travels on our departure. We wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you for having us! :)

The hospitality of the owners was amazing. I enjoyed the discussions I had with them and the various tips they gave me. We also arranged a dinner with them at the premises which was also very tasty! Overall I enjoyed my stay there a lot and I would stay again.

The only thing that I did not like was the processing of the payment. Instead of a machine where I could just tap my card it had to be done through an online system which notifies my bank and sends an sms that I have to approve. This could have been fine but I was on a local SIM card so had to reactivate my regular sim card to be able to have the payment processed.

Shami & Dave have been the most delightful hosts I've had the pleasure of knowing. Their home is clean, comfortable, and has a beautiful view over Rotorua. My room was spacious, well-provisioned, and very comfortable. It also had its own private deck with views toward the city center. Shaming and Dave made me feel quite at home and I enjoyed getting to know them during my stay. In the morning they provided a delicious and diverse spread of a Mediterranean breakfast including homemade breads and jams.

My only complaint was that I didn't book a couple more nights as I was enjoying my stay here!

Amazing stay in Rotorua in a perfect location. Hosts friendly and accommodating, and the room was perfect. The recommendation to take a tour of the Maori village nearby was excellent and much appreciated. This is absolutely a must-do in Rotorua and complimented the evening plans we already had for Te Puia (which is practically walking distance from the B&B). The provided morning breakfast was also excellent, filling and just what we needed for our plans for hiking that day. We will definitely choose to stay here again next time we are in the area!

Nothing - stay was perfect.

Hosts were very hospitable, Free on-site parking, beautiful view and nice big room. Warm shower, comfortable bed, reliable Wi-Fi, and a really delicious breakfast which included cheeses, cold meats, fruit and more. The hosts have put in lots of nice extra touches including double USB charging ports, tourist brochures, a fun ball maze, tissues, chocolates at check-in, and more. Definitely would recommend.

You can hear the upstairs folks through the ceiling/walls, probably not an issue unless you are a light sleeper like me.

The stay was enjoyable and the host was very friendly. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was a lovely continental breakfast. My husband doesn't drink coffee and the second day at breakfast he was presented with a teapot for his tea. Across from our room was a fully equipped kitchen where we could make our own tea and coffee and could of made lunch and dinner. There was a garden that we could use as well. You can see they geyser from the back garden. The accommodation was ideal for exploring Rotorua.

This was by far the best accommodation on our trip so far (hotels, apartments, B & Bs). The home is five minutes outside of central Rotorua, so you need your car, but that is the case everywhere in Rotorua. There is parking on the property the room was very comfortable, the beds were the bed was excellent, the bathroom very light and spacious. The best thing was it was so clean I felt like I was in my own home. In the morning we had breakfast in the dining room, finely presented and very good espresso. Our hosts were friendly.
