Loved the location and was there for the Bay of Plenty Rugby Awards this was a really great venue food was good and the bar staff on the night were amazing. The parking was also great and a perfect location. I really appreciated the wait staff and their lovely smiles at the conference room and both Breakfast and Dinner were absolutely amazing

The room was quite pricey and for what we paid for it did not quite match the expectation. It was nice and clean except for a small area around the bath plug that possibly was just a result of the shower tap running on after it had been cleaned. The Staff when we arrived were not very helpful I struggled with my bags to our room no assistance offered as to where the room was or that we could use the lift to the right, The door was quite hard to open and possibly could have used some better signage to explain where the kitchen and confrence room were

Firstly the staff at reception were amazing, friendly as, helpful and definitely checking in was a great start. We ended up with a better room than I booked with a fantastic view of the outdoor area, the room was clean, and very comfortable. The pressure on the shower was fantastic too. The heated pool was great for entertaining our little one and tiring him out and the grottos were a great way to end the day relaxing. We started next day off with an amazing buffet breakfast with everything and more. Even though it was very busy the staff kept everything well stocked and tables cleared fast. Honestly the staff there are amazing.

I had an amazing stay at Distinction Hotel, Rotorua! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we felt welcome. The facilities were top-notch, and the kids especially loved spending time in the pool. The included breakfast was outstanding—so much variety and everything was delicious! Our room was quiet, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend Distinction Hotel, Rotorua, and would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast is what did it for me. The spread was so good i went up for 3rds :D There were 2 restaurants and a nice bar. Parking behind monitored gate. Location is away from city central. The room had everything we needed for 1 night stay, bed was warm and comfy and the staff were very nice.

3 of the light bulbs in the main area were not working so the room was dim at night. Not a huge deal except my vision is poor already. The sound on the TV is muffled, i guess it is because it is in a wall cabinet.

Fast becoming my favourite place in Rotorua to stay. The most comfortable beds, a great garden, outdoor spa and pool as well as the grotto and secure parking. The breakfast is excellent too. We have staed here twice now and it always feels like such a treat!! My husband loves the gym in the morning and having the wasing machines there is so convinient. We travel so much as we live rurally and need to be in alot of places so have stayed in alot of places in Rotorua. Oh and the rooms are seriously set at the perfect temprature!

Heated pools and jacuzzi were perfect for our family. Breakfast was A+, delicious with lots of options. Great service from staff, welcoming and kind. Beds were comfortable. Very nice place to stay and happy with our choice to stay here.

These were minor things but the fridge didn't work. Also the heater made a buzzing noise. Water leak from the basin.

Cleanliness, restaurants good food and service, helpful staff.

Lack of lighting in the hallway, another guest probably made a mistake and tried to open our door at midnight, fumbling with the keys making noise at the door. Luckily I locked the door quite firmly, then, I walked to the door, and shouted this is our room 224, this is not your room, the guest then realised he/she is trying the keys on the wrong room and backed off.

Our stay was excellent we loved it staff were beautiful and very lovely always had beautiful smiles at reception very welcoming the buffet breakfast was delicious the pools were nice and warm

The spa pools felt dirty people were using the soaps and conditioners in the spa pools which made the spa water feel yuk there rubbish was left on the ground in the spa area and some rubbish left floating in the water

We loved the heated pool, good size and clean. The staff were great and polite especially the night shift crew.

Rooms are a bit tired already, we didn't realise that the room we booked only had 1 ceiling fan, so It was a bit warm at night. However, staff were quick to provide a desk fan which helped a lot. Carpet corners a bit dusty as vacuums don't seem to reach them, some old candy wrappers under the bed. There are also no place to hang wet clothes in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was a bit limited in choices compared to similarly priced hotels in the area.

The breakfast was phenomenal, the staff always friendly and our room was great for us two adults and 2 kiddies. The pool was a hit with our kids especially because they are heated, we went at night and in the morning! We love staying here and it’s always our first pick when we visit Rotorua!

Perhaps some dehumidifiers in the rooms during winter. The air con didn’t seem to draw out the moisture in the room but not a biggy!
