Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, gardens well kept. Our chalet had a private parking space out front, private hot tub and small garden, but Nos: 25 (where our son stayed) had a much bigger private garden so ask for this one! The pool area was clean and well kept, the water was warm as promised, barbecue clean and easy to use - tools at reception. Staff friendly, plenty of towels for both shower and pool use and everything else you needed to be very comfortable. One issue is that the room needs net curtains for privacy, also no security safe and WiFi was a bit hit and miss, but soaking in the warm pool made up for these small omissions.

Facility wise great! There was a mishap being advised could check in an hour early with a $20 extra charge however while talking to reception, another staff member (seemingly senior/ cleaning team perhaps) rudely interrupted and said our room wasn’t ready (without knowing what room we were in - there was also another customer there and this was at 2pm) so told us to wait until 3 and that early check in wasn’t a thing (which is weird if there was a suggested price addition for it initially). With children, this wasn’t ideal (would rather have been advised no early check in instead). Reception was clearly embarrassed also and tried best to apologise for mishap (which i don’t see her being the issue anyway).

The woman who greeted us at check in was lovely, the smoothest check in we've had. The room was great, perfect for our family of 5, parents with 2 teens and a toddler. The private spa was great, we don't usually use spas because they're too hot for us but there was a hose provided to connect to the cold tap to lower the temp, which was perfect. Basic cooking facilities were perfect for our short stay. The pool was also really nice, naturally heated but a nice temperature to chill out. We appreciated the staff changing towels daily and washing up dishes. The extra blankets are such good quality too! Oh and the entertainment is so good! So impressed that they have smart TVs and have SKY. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great during our stay, I'd say the only thing that was missing was a chopping board. But obviously not a deal breaker.

The beds were so comfortable, and the units are quite roomy and big. The private spas are amazing and the heated public pool was fantastic. Loved the toddler bay next to/with the main pool my little one loved it. It was also nice and quiet. They also provided so many towels!

It would of been better had there been 2 chairs placed near the private spa, when it gets to hot it would be nice to sit there before jumping back in. The stairs in the unit were a bit dangerous for my toddler but it isn't necessary for them to go upstairs anyway. The extractor fan in the shower was quite dusty and dirty and off putting because it's right in your face when you shower. The bathroom door could also do with a clean as there's dirty fingerprints on it. The price was a bit expensive as its a little outdated, but overall, the stay was really comfortable.

We stayed over the Christmas period with myself, husband and 3 year old. The room was great and had everything we needed. A separate bed in the mezzanine where our son could sleep whilst we stayed downstairs and able to entertain ourselves separately in the main living room (with TV). The rooms were quiet (although I hope we werent the noisy ones with a child up early). There is a swing set and pool which was great for extra entertaining. We utilised the private spa a couple of times after a long day. The temp was a bit hot but there was a hose to add cold water for your liking. What a bonus! The kitchen has everything you need as well so a great all round stay

We were a family of 5 travelling from Australia. Whilst we were out sightseeing the majority of the day - the motor lodge was a great base to come back to each afternoon. Cleaning staff on site, very accommodating when we asked to have the sofa-bed made up. They serviced the room each day with clean towels and clean bins. We felt this was in a safe area in Rotorua to stay. I would recommend to other families and travelers.

Really great place to stay with families. The staff were friendly and super accomodating, we asked if we could check in early at 12 and it wasn't a problem and sorted for us. Room was great for us, quite spacious nice modern kitchen and bathroom. Pool was nice and heated which meant kids could swim for ages!

No extra/spare pillows or blankets in. Not a big deal but would have been nice, I didn't notice until we went to bed late on the evening so couldn't call reception.I am sure they would've brought some over I feel the cold more than most.

My room was stunning. Clean, fresh, had everything you could need. Lovely comfortable beds, great choices of channels on the TV, a wonderful warm relaxing spa. A great private weekend. The catch up I had with my nudist friend who I hadn't seen in about 5 years was excellent. No worries about offending anyone. Definitely going back

The only very very small negative was the hose connection didn't fit on the tap so I couldn't put cold water into the spa to cool it down a bit. When I told the receptionist when I left he promised to rectify the problem

We loved that there was a spa at the back of our lodge! It was the big determining factor for us booking this accommodation. It was nice and clean, and temperature was really hot - perfect to soak in before bed. Room was nice and tidy, and it came with plenty of spare towels and toilet paper, as well as facilities and utensils for stove top cooking. The heater does a great job at keeping the room warm - perfect for winter days! Unfortunately, I got my period on my last night there, so had to disclose that the sheets had a bit of blood. Was a bit nervous, but the duty manager was so forgiving and patient with me! I felt super reassured, and am thankful that he made a potentially embarrassing situation feel like water off a ducks back.

Bathroom had a bit of a strange smell, but wasn’t sure if it was due tri the geo-thermal water or something that was dirty. First thing I noticed as well is that there’s no aircon, and the only fan is right above the loft bed. Didn’t matter to us because we’re in the middle of winter, but if I was staying here in warmer months I wouldn’t enjoy not having aircon.

We had a great stay. We loved the outdoor pool and our own private spa pool. The rooms have had some nice renovations done on them and the beds were really comfortable .

The pull out sofa bed was super uncomfortable for our 8 year old - the matress was very thin and she could feel the springs - would be good if there was a thick matress cover provided to make it more comfortable. Unfortunately I had to re-wash most of the dishes in the cupboard because they were greasy and had some food on them.
