Loved the size of this room, it had a proper couch, which was very comfortable, a decent sized bed, a little dining table with a proper kitchen, less the oven of course. Bathroom was big too, had both a lovely shower and spa bath. Bed was very comfortable and although my unit was near the road it actually was not that noisy. Easy to find and walking distance to a few takeaways. The price for the room was exceptional value, I would definitely stay here again. The host too was so lovely, informative and friendly. TV was easy to work, heat pump very efficient.

Things need a little updating in a few areas, however everything else makes up for this, so all good. Oh and just one other little thing, there was no face cloth, which was a bit weird. No big deal for one night, if I had of been staying longer I would have asked for one.

Really friendly staff, well located, and the value for money is really good. I've travelled a fair bit in New Zealand, and I've grown accustomed to paying a lot, for not a lot. While Brylin motel is modest accommodation, you pay a fraction of the cost you would elsewhere. Finally it's also very quiet, despite being on the main road.

The two bedroom apartment we stayed in is long overdue for a refurbishment. Again, I'm trying not to be too critical, as it's realistically a very good value for money option. However, every facet of our apartment could do with a replacement. In particular, the freezer tray in the fridge/freezer was leaking, so we came back to a puddle of water on the first night. The walls are covered with stains/bump marks, and neither last, nor least, the kitchen elements are extremely scuffed. Relatively speaking, the bedroom/bathroom were ok. Living room sofas could do with less cheap look covers.

We were a little worried when we arrived as it was an older room and facing a main road. However it was very spacious, clean, comfortable and everything worked reasonably well plus there was no traffic noise! So it was a case of "not judging the book by its cover". You also had a choice whether you wanted housekeeping, which was unusual but convenient. We were there for four nights and it suited us very well.

There was no socket in the bathroom and no ironing facilities. The kitchen area could do with some attention especially the toaster, which was not very efficient.

The 4 apartments that we booked at Brylin Motel during winter school holiday are exceptional. I have not seen a very clean and home-like accommodation in Rotorua, none like Brylin Motel. The rooms and toilets are very spacious too. Amber is friendly and amazing. She has been very helpful and accommodating to my groups' needs. She has been very kind and understanding with the hectic activities and noises of having a big group like us. Thank you Brylin Motel!!! 100% highly recommended.

I had a great two-night stay at this motel. It was really wonderful, especially the spa with a large hot tub, and the TV with YouTube and Netflix. The staff was very kind and friendly. She introduced me to the nearby attractions, and since I was alone and didn’t rent a car, she even exchanged some small changes for me to take the bus. I participated in activities at the Maori Cultural Village, and they picked me up directly from the motel. It was a wonderful holiday, and I had a great two-night stay.

I liked how easy checking in(arrived at 11:30pm)and out was. We managed to park our car right in front of out door. Room was clean and we got fresh towels everytime we put the housekeeping sign up.

I didn't like that during our stay we didn't get a bedsheets change for the 5 nights we spent there. I guess it is a motel so maybe it's just not part of the service. The apartment and the bedding was clean tho.

she was amazing, attentive and accommodating. The room is ample, has plenty of out door spaces within the room. Ours had two large balconies and one terrace. There were fans, nice kitchen, parking and a 3 minute drive from restaurants, government gardens and the Maori town "waka" (can't remember the full name) all great places to see and visit. The room is no frills so no pool, or facilities. But that's not important. In reality waking up and having breakfast outside listening to the birds. And the peace and quiet overnight was well worth it. If you are desperate for some entertainment, there is a large screen with netflix, local TV , YouTube. Well worth it. Recommended.

The whole town sometimes smells like sulfur due to the proximity to the volcano but that is just nature. Nothing can be done about it. The place is great but bear in mind the smell so you are prepared.

Myself and family enjoyed our stay here for two nights. Its close to everything. Beds are sooo comfy, nice and spacious two story apartment. Staff are AWESOME!! Thanks for having us 😀

I have no doubt the cleaners do a good job however I think they could do better. More attention to detail is whats needed. Really tight parking spaces but the staff are aware and have worked with what they have. I would not let that put anyone off coming here though.

Excellent few days stay which is well within budget. Rooms were clean, cozy and quiet. We were upgraded for free to a 2-storey 2 bedroom apartment which had everything we needed. The spa was a bonus, and the staff accommodated our every needs. Location was right in the heart of the Polynesian spa, Skyline, Lake Tarawera and many food options. Sivilay Massage is right next door 1 min walk where I had an amazing deep tissue massage, and the best sleep. I will be back again and highly recommend to all.

Location to city centre was good, easy 10min walk. The unit was nice & clean, beds were comfy & warm. Host allowed us to use a spare carpark for my daughters vehicle as there is no off street parking outside Brylin.

The driveway down to units is very steep & car parks are very tight, more suited to smaller type cars_not 4WD. Unable to reverse vehicle around when carpark is full. The outside deck seats were small & uncomfortable to sit on.
