The room was so warm, didn't even need much of the heater to make it warm, the beds are comfy as and the owner was very helpful and accommodating and even addressed the noisy neighbors that were drinking and being very loud

The walls are very thin and the people in the room next to us seemed like they were actually in our room with how thin the walls are. It was raining and it sounded like the rain was dripping in the room at the door, ventilation seems a bit poor with the stormy weather, half the plug sockets didn't work,

The best motel I’ve ever stayed. This is my honest review!This property is very wide, very clean, and all the staffs are really welcoming and very nice. I even end up being friends with all of the staffs cause they’re so kind and respectful. I even force them to take my tips whenever they clean my room but they really don’t want to accept it. They always tell me that as long as I’m comfortable at their motel, they’re happy already. And I’m just very amazed! And apart from that they’re really hands on at everything. So definitely highly recommended for a place to stay here at Rotorua! No joke!

Clean, warm, great atmosphere as you walk into the room etc. Very accomodating Big room

The neighbours partied all night long then early hours decided to fight and argue with each other to the point we were kept up by there screaming and disruptiveness to the point when we finally got to sleep (maybe 1hr) we miss our alarm and were late by 1 hr to work. The queen bed was very hard and uncomfortable but the single beds were awesome

It wasn't exactly a 5 Star Hotel but the Manager was very attentive and accommodating. The room was clean and had all the basics. We weren't there during the day and got back after 7pm bith nights just to sleep. We loved that there was a free laundry and dryer. I would recommend to stay here to others.

The unit upstairs set off the fire alarm both nights. I was surprised how casual the guests were not treating it as an emergency. The smallest TV ever but we were only there to sleep anyway

I found my stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Some reviews commented that there was no AC, however no AC is common for older NZ motels. Summer heat during the day can be a problem, but the hosts went out of their way to keep the room cool by closing the curtains and running two electric fans. It was most appreciated! At night, the room was naturally cool and didn't need the fans. The WIFI was excellent. Parking was fine. I barely heard the noise of the logging trucks next door when they left in the morning. It appeared they went out of their way to keep the noise down. The hosts provided ear plugs but I didn't need it. The room wasn't fancy, but it was very clean and comfortable. Certainly value for money. I would stay there again.

Friendly staff, easy check in, very clean, family friendly! There was a park for a 2 year old to play on across the road and just a little drive to the town center, also its off the main road so there wasnt any road noise!

Had to switch rooms, the first room we had one of the power outlets wasnt working at all and the other one on the other side of the bed was constantly on, we didnt feel safe with a 2 year old but the staff changed our rooms straight away!

Room was clean & comfortable, and the spa bath relaxing. Owner had opened windows and turned on fans in room prior to our arrival. this was appreciated as it was a hot and relatively windless summer's day. Room had a small balcony and outdoor furniture.

Single bed mattress was pretty soft, but this isn't a huge issue. Like most motels in Rotorua, the property is rather old and some bathroom fittings are showing discolouration due to geothermal atmosphere. Having lived in Rotorua we know that this is unavoidable. The room had been updated so not really an issue. room does not have air conditioning, some people may find it difficult to sleep on hot nights. There was a sign warning of flying insects entering room at night, perhaps insect screens might be a useful addition? Also there was a logging truck parking area next door, it wasn't an issue for us as we stayed on a Saturday, but this might be busy on working days.
