The Spa was great, clean, and of a good size. The room had enough space, was warm, and had everything we needed. The two people's room was awesome!

The bathroom, spa, and toilet area kept getting messy due to water spills. The tile got slippery, and only 1 bathroom mat was provided, which was not sufficient. The TV in the family room didn't have a signal, however, the lovely receptionist was able to fix it. Still on TV, we couldn't use all the channels, and only documentaries were working, which was boring for the kids. This is for the family room only.

Helen was very polite and professional, making us feel welcome. The location was excellent - just a short distance from the Redwoods, supermarkets, and a good coffee shop. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of a manual for using the TV. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Overall, my experience was great. A couple of things to consider: It would be nice to have some dim lighting options, as the regular lights were a bit too strong for me. Also, ensuring there’s no dust in harder-to-reach places would be a good idea. :)

I extended our stay an additional night we received complimentary cookies and milk. Loved that cleaners did daily cleanings of the rooms. The private spa was the star of the room huge and spacious loved the fold out and beds our own fanily suite, overall so comfortable. I loved our kitchenette and the deck out door table was super cute. I will be back again soon with my family I just wish I booked the massage and body wraps but my family felt so comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

It looks new with big front full glass. Very spacious with spa. Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is very good 5 min drive to town center and close to places of interests.

The ceiling feels just low and just pressuring above head. The light switches in each room and the spa switches are placed very oddly and hard to find where they are. No curtain or blinds between the spa and the toilet, inconvenient for multiple occupants. The HOBs switch looks like a socket switch placed on a socket. We couldn't even find it and had to ask reception.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was a decent size with electric blankets for the bed and a heat pump for the room and sky movies to watch. The kitchen setup was good with enough dishes and cutlery including pots and a toaster and kettle and ample tea and coffee as well as a small bottle of milk and two small packets of biscuits. The room was very clean so thank you housekeeping.

The shower over the spa pool was not particularly good as first you had to climb up and into the pool to take a shower, a separate shower would have been better. The bathroom was cold and the fan heater on the wall wasn't working as there was no switch to turn it on.

Spacious snd clean. Effective air-conditioner. Everything needed was there!

Small refrigerator. Upon arrival I was requested to supply my credit card even though everything was paid prior to arrival through Bookings.com. It made me uncomfortable, seeing that I had to hand over my card and information was captured on their system. I should have declined the request but was caught off guard.

Loved the room! Perfect fit for my family with 3 young kids. Cleanliness was A++. Everything was very satisfactory! This was our 2nd visit to the Silver Fern motel. It was the same for our last visit. The Silver Fern stands out for us the most, Because of the friendly staff. Always greeted with a smile. They go above and beyond to make sure that your requests are met! Thank you Silver Fern team, For giving my whanau a home away from home. Kia ora!!!

We had a spacious airy corner room upstairs with a balcony looking onto trees, number 12. It had a perfect kitchenette and large bathroom with a spa which made our 4 night stay relaxed and happy. Helen and Anthony were so accommodating and made us feel welcome. There wasn't any sulphur smell as Silver Fern is away from the lake. Nice and quiet.

We didn't have a car so it's a bit of a walk from the cbd and the Polynesian spa.

When we asked for ice, Antony went and bought some. He also upgraded us to the 1 bedroom, and it was very roomy. The tub was huge. Great water pressure. All the staff was super friendly. We had read mixed reviews online, but we took a chance because our Auckland Marriott hotel had turned out to be a bitter disappointment, forcing us to change plans. Silver Fern was so much better that we were very glad we stayed. The whole area of Rotorua has a sulfur smell, but it wasn't overwhelming, like at the geysers and hot springs nearby. We also didn't see the mosquitoes some other people talk about in reviews.

The toilet seat looked worn and aged. The bed was harder than we would have liked, however overall we really appreciated our stay.

Loved the room it was clean & private with it's own spa. I enjoyed the large shower with powerful water pressure & my wife loved the coffee. The perfect little getaway while visiting friends in Rotorua.

For a room that had a shower and a spa, there were only 2 towels. We requested more so that we could enjoy a spa after check in and a shower in the morning. Staff were more than happy to give more towels. From the moment we checked in to check out, staff were friendly, welcoming & accommodating, the best service I've come across for a long time.
