We recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The room was perfect for our small family as it was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed to make everyone feel comfortable. There was plenty of room for our toddler to move around, and the layout gave us enough space to relax without feeling cramped. The outdoor spa area was another standout feature. It was well maintained, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. However, the highlight of our stay was definitely having Izumi restaurant right on the property. The food selection was impressive, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from, but the sushi really stood out being fresh, high quality, and beautifully prepared. It was such a treat to have such an excellent dining option just steps away from our room. Another bonus was the location—being right across the road from a gas station made it super easy to pop over for snacks or drinks when we needed something quickly, especially with a little one in tow. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling with family or looking for a relaxing, well rounded experience.

The only downside to our stay was the thin walls in the room. We could clearly hear the TV and conversations from the neighboring room, which made it a bit challenging to get our child to sleep at night. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it was something we had to work around.

From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and professional. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable – with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were super comfy, and the space was peaceful and quiet, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The attention to cleanliness and detail was top-notch. We also loved the location – close to all the main attractions in Rotorua but tucked away enough to offer peace and privacy. On-site parking was convenient, and everything was well maintained. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations in every way. We would 100% recommend Asure Rotorua International Motor Inn to anyone visiting Rotorua. We’ll definitely be back!

Great spacious, clean, modern large rooms with fridge and small cooker and microwave

It was quite a bit away from the centre of town but plenty of amenities nearby which was useful We personally didn’t like the lack of privacy with other guests constantly up and down the stairs outside our room meaning we had to keep the curtains closed … but I would hasten to add this is a personal preference

The room was very clean and tidy. The reception staff was very welcoming and accommodative. Good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Breakfast had limited options but still very sufficient and good for us and didn't need more what was offered.

The shower in the bathroom has bathtub cum shower. The screen on top of the bathtub is too short and a lot of water spilled on the tiled floor from the showerhead. This made tiles extremely slippery. I suggest to either extend the shower screen to greater length on the tub or change the tiles to a non-slippery surfaced one. Otherwise, there could be a chance of an incident.

Beautiful newly refurbished rooms. Bed was so comfortable, elegant decor, spacious, super clean bathroom and the private outdoor spa under a shadesail a amazing. Super awesome knowing the spa water was fresh because we filled it ourselves, and pulled the plug out afterwards. Thanks for an amazing restful night.

There was nothing to not like here. I could suggest a note on the back door with instructions to open both latches at once... It took us about 5 mins to figure it out, then I jammed my finger trying to hold then both to close it, ☹️, then realized i didn't need to...

Location was good as it was near attractions and never really smelled like sulfer at least not strong enough to bother you. We were away from downtown though so if you want some night life then you will need to take a short car ride or taxi. Rooms were pretty good. Big enough for sure. Had free parking also had a jacuzzi in the back though we didn’t use it. All in all good value for money and staff were friendly though not really 24 hours but think you can call them at night though we never did. They have laundry service but it closes at 8 when staff go home and opens again at 8:30. Restaurant there is decent japanese food. Its a sushi train but it does have other japanese food.

Breakfast isnt amazing i would skip it and have breakfast elsewhere.

The room was clean and big enough for our needs (enough space inside for our 2 bikes). Parking right next to the room. Check-in was easy and quick. The hot tub was also a nice addition, but we didn't use it too much because we were out most evenings and you can't use it after 10 pm) and also because you need to fill it up for every use which takes a lot of time.

We had breakfast, but we didn't get any water/juice with it and only an instant coffee in a paper cup. That surprised us since it was served in a restaurant, where you would expect a decent coffee machine.

We returned to this motel after five years for our second stay, driven by my child's fond memories of the jacuzzi. The overall facilities are well-maintained, and we were relieved to find that the sofa bed was quite comfortable, despite our initial concerns.

There were a few hiccups this time around. The host no longer provides bubbles for the jacuzzi, which was a bit of a letdown. The pricing was also on the higher side, likely due to our stay during the Christmas season. Most notably, we encountered an issue with the hot water running out after filling only half the jacuzzi tub, something we didn't experience during our previous visit.

Conveniently located. Room is comfortable though the table and chairs were a little bit sticky. Kitchenette is upgraded towards a kitchen with available two-burner cooktop. Wonderful included breakfast - option of Japanese ramen or western breakfast (toast, eggs, bacon). We chose the Japanese ramen at the attached Japanese restaurant and it was great! This is a pretty family friendly property - lots of kids staying enjoying the pool and other amenities. If you’re looking for quiet without kids running around, this may not be for you. The kitchenette could have been slightly better equipped - just 1 pan, 1 pot, no lid for the pan, 1 kitchen knife, limited other equipment. We were still able to cook a nice meal there, but many of our other motor inns along our road trip were better equipped even if they didn’t offer a cooktop (others offered a roll of paper towels, a few kitchen knives, a steak knife better than just a butter knife to cut with, salt/pepper, plastic wrap, 1 or 2 larger bowls or serving pans).

Fine for a 1 night stay. Could offer a bit more kitchen equipment for guests actually cooking in the room.
