This place is amazing. From check-in to check-out we were treated with nothing but the best. Our room was fresh and modern. The bathroom had heated flooring. The beds are really comfortable (including the pull-out sofa in the lounge). The black-out curtains are amazing. The kitchenette is equipped with all the essentials. And although we were situated near the road, the room was incredibly sound-proof. But for us what stood out most was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, friendly, accommodating and refreshingly down-to-earth - yet professional at the same time. Thank you for making our holiday just that extra bit special guys :)

Well first of all it looked exactly like the pictures on booking.com/online which is not always the case, ✅ It was immaculately clean upon our arrival and smelt clean ✅ Lovely manager at reception ✅ Parking was outside our door ✅ Close to everything we needed including the Woolworths that was just across the road ✅ The heated pool, gym, and sauna were perfect ✅ Great smart tv with everything we needed including the Unbelievably luxurious beds (I want that exact mattress for my bed at home now) lol ✅ Great view of the top of the skyline gondolas lights ✅ I will be back 🤩🤩🤩 If I had to find a fault it’s the road noise, which was only a little bit, but that went once we got in to the evening, and there is great soundproofing in the room.

The property was exceptionally well-maintained. The reception staff were attentive and considerate, always ready to help. The room service team was accommodating and made sure our room was cleaned thoroughly every day. The room itself was spacious, with a TV featuring Sky TV. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary utensils. The spa tub in the room was fantastic, providing a wonderful spa pool experience right in our own space. Although we didn’t try the hotel breakfast, there are breakfast options available. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and I highly recommend this property.

The location was fabulous. I was impressed with how the staff actively looked for ways to make a positive difference. In particular, while swimming, one lady brought over pool towels without being asked. She then grabbed our room towels, folded them, and dropped to our room door. Customer focused went above and beyond! The little things make a big difference.

The pillows, while perfectly presented and clean, were quite uncomfortable. Slightly too hard, difficult to mold your head into. I understand that for some, this would be a preference. Otherwise, nil complaints. Excellent quality, clean and secure.

Location was handy enough for us to town as we had our own car, and the basic breakfast was fresh and nice at the restaurant. VERY comfortable beds and extremely clean including the outdoor spa pool. We heard very little of the main road noise at night in our bed.

Breakfast was so limited to basic Continental - no full breakfast. No wonder we were the only ones in there on one morning and then the other morning just one other couple. The lady was nice, but kept hovering and asking us to have coffee. The woman manager of the hotel did not know if full breakfast was served or not as she told me she had nothing to do with the restaurant - somewhat strange as manager of the hotel not to know such a basic question. She also ignored my special request once we got there on time, but had previously written back to say they could fulfill very simple request.

I recently spent my birthday at the Newina in Rotorua and stayed for two wonderful days. Here are my thoughts: The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few steps away from shopping and dining options, making it super convenient for anything you might need. The facilities are excellent, with recently renovated rooms that are clean, airy, and extremely comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the heated pool, which is perfect for year-round use; we took advantage of it in November and had a great time! I also appreciated the well-organized parking, which made our stay hassle-free—something I’ve struggled with at other places. Our room had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including a cozy bed and an excellent shower. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist when needed, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

If I may offer a couple of suggestions to enhance the experience: the breakfast could use some improvements, as it felt a bit lacking. Additionally, a smart TV in the room would be a great touch for those who enjoy streaming services like Netflix. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend the Newina! Immaculate in and out of Newina, and in and out of our spa suite aswell. Loved having the spa outside of our suite. Loved the kitchenette. It was a spacious suite. Customer service was exceptional. Especially after having to travel from outside of Rotorua. The hotel also has a pool and gym and sauner. The hotel is in a convenient spot. Across the road is the supermarket, take aways and all of the fairy springs activities. It's also just down the road from the city centre. Value for money and would definitely book again. While it did take a long time to fill the spa, I appreciated that self filling meant we weren't swimming in anyone else's spa and we knew this first hand.

Everything about Newina was amazing. Great location, room was very clean and tidy. The pool was great, and the spa was awesome. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice, new complex, so everything worked, looked shiny and new. Bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows (often something I struggle with at motels/hotels for being too soft - these were great).

For a relatively new complex there was an acute shortage of power points within reach in critical areas - such as - where the dining table (and chairs) were located - no powerpoint/s; the two beds obviously had powerpoints as the bedside lamps and electric blankets were plugged in - BUT there was no way to easily reach them hidden down behind the bed, and bedside table/s. For a new complex this seems a massive oversight. Should have been powerpoints within easy reach (for instance 1m up the wall behind the bedside table/s), and near the dining table where the only chairs were located.

This is a fantastic location. Very clean and our room was cleaned daily as well. Very tidy. The bed was a bit firm for my liking but was still a good bed to sleep in. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. The room was a great size. I really like that it had a great size kitchenette and all its ammenities. The room had a very new and updated feel. Large bathroom with a lovey shower over a bath too.

I didn’t like that you could hear people walking in the room above us. We had an issue with the spa in our room. But the manager was very quick to respond and get it fix. And was happy to move us to another room with one that was working.
